Using the CUI I can drag buttons from one toolbar to another to copy them but they remain linked. A change to one changes the other. How do I create a brand new button that I can add my code to?
I am using AutoCAD 2014 and trying to create custom buttons as a short cut link to open external files, such as a link to company standards, osha, or any file in general. I basically justa want to be able to open the file from with-in autocad. Like a hyperlink without having to click an object.

Then I have to go through and X out about 100 toolbars. I would like to be able to turn all of the custom toolbars off at one time. Then only turn on the ones that I want to use.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn some computers I have a problem. The down arrow at the right of the quick access toolbar doesn't show. I checked that my interface is not lock too. So to customize the quick access toolbar I have to use the CUI.
I don't know if it's related, but my customize toolbar (from my partial menu) have to be displayed manually each time I start AutoCAD but not my custom tab in the ribbon.
How can we disable buttons on the toolbar? Buttons on the ribbon can be disabled, and can it be done on the toolbar? (AutoCAD 2011).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using AutoCAD 2006. Our company is switching to AutoCAD 2012 LT. I want to be able to add my custom toolbar buttons from the 2006 to the 2012 LT custom Ribbon Tabs & Panels. I have figured out how to make the custom ribbon, tab and panel. I just haven’t figured out what I need to do to get the old stuff to where I can add them to the panels.
I have custom 2006 buttons with and without flyouts.
How to make my own toolbar buttons for ACAD 2004 yet am having trouble figuring out what I would write as the macro command for the operation in the button creation dialog box for a specific operation.
There will be 3 buttons. One for .XX, one .XXX, one .XXXX precision edit of an existing dimension. IOW, if I have a 2 place precision dimension and wish it to be 4 place, I'll click the '.XXXX button' then click the dimension and it will change to 4 place. In addition, I'd like for it to update immediately for multiple dimension picks if possible just like 'match properties'.
We are a firm using ACAD 2011 w/ a custom toolbar that has an Auto Purge "tool" it currently deletes duplicated layers, reg ops, duped scales etc. we are wondering what else it can do (or any other tools that may be of use) or how can we get it to do more for us, like restrict referencing files from "unwanted" locations and any other tools that are essential to reducing the size of a drawing so its now so slow
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've tried to figure out the pattern of how the command works for inputting partial customization menu toolbar names but I'm unsuccessful.
You should be able to show and hide partial customization menu toolbars with the -toolbar command because it can hide all toolbars including my partial customization menu toolbars currently shown. I've tried the toolbar menu alias (defined in the CUI command) and the name (refer to this link to the same image embedded below) and none work.
how to place a 2 line text under a custom button.I tried to mimic some of the std button but it didn't work.
Attachment 1 is the std Tool Palette and User Interface buttons in the Manage Panels.
You can notice that the name is User Interface on the left and UserInterface on the right.
Attachment 2 is my button, on the left I CANNOT edit the name and on the right any changes automatically edit the left name.
At the end I would like my button the appears with one line: Extract and under Maint.
I recently installed GraphicsSuite x6 (with SP4) on a new Surface Pro 2 tablet running on Windows 8.1. My command bar buttons are not displaying properly. Depending on whether I have the open on the tablet screen or an external monitor, the toolbar buttons will not be displayed. This also affects some (but not all) dockers. For example the buttons and labels on the Align and Distribute docker are not displayed, regardless of which display I am using. This issue affects both CorelDraw and Photo-Paint.
View 3 Replies View RelatedCurrently, in our project, we convert autocad model by FBX convertor and load it by separate graphic library(directx or openGL) and then render the model from a specific camera point to get a customized view(image).
Now, I was just wondering if it's possible to create this custom image through autocad .Net api, since the model is already rendered by cad?
I am trying to make some custom buttons to change some text to a different layer and then change the text height.
I cannot figure out the command line alias for "Text Height" to enter it into the macro.
I have tried the "scaletext" command but I cannot figure out how to add this command to the "Chprop" command on the macro line. The command seems to stop before performing both actions. What am I missing? Here is the button macro so far ^C^Cchprop;la;GasAban;c;g;;scaletext;c;s;12;;
Example this is my custom toolbar.
And how i can save this and export to another computer... i use autoCAD 2007 .
I have made a 2012 LT custom ribbon and a custom panel. I have transferred buttons from my autocad 2006 to my 2012 LT. They work just fine. The probem is that in 2006 I had drop down buttons to save toolbar space. I want to be able to add the drop down button feature to my new panel. I do not see how to create that type of button, so I can add the regular buttons to it and have one drop down button with those commands in it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to build a custom button that mimics the FDO - Save as AutoCAD drawing functionality. Clicking this button brings up a wizard with too many clicks for how often the users will do it.
They will not want to load a script so a custom button is required. Also, I need to be able to dynamically set the new saved file name based on the source DWG file name.
I just had to rebuild a large toolbar after upgrading to Autocad 2011. I had to scroll through the old version's MNU file to locate and extract the information. Then I had to copy/paste the information from the text to the new toolbar. Luckily I had the Icon bitmaps saved and didn't have to recreate them.
Is there a way to export the code from a custom toolbar that can then be imported into another version or copy of Autocad?
when I hover the cursor over my own custom toolbar buttons, I get the message "Press F1 for more help" you can then go to F1 but that only for Autocad commands not my own programs. My question is how can I get rid of the message "Press F1 for more help" when the cursor is over my custom program buttons?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a custom toolbar that I've used for years in an olderversion of CAD. Now I'm in 2012 and loaded my custom toolbar in from my previous CUI. Naturally it dropped in all question marks even though I have all paths in the support file added. I even copied all my bitmaps to autodesk's default bitmap location. Neither work.
So after that I went into the CUI and manually selected the bitmap image for "small image" and "large image". It shows in the CUI now, but no luck on the main board. (also, not that this matters, must be a glitch but it won't even show in the CUI until i manually select another bitmap and reselect my origional desired image)
So then I tried taking the whole path and copying it into the CUI manually but it goes right back to defaulting to (MYIMAGENAME.BMP) without keeping the extension. My other custom toolbars loaded with all the pictures but this one just refuses to cooperate.
My company has a custom property named 'Released date, Type Date.
This date is still empty
I am working on a rule that adds all the custom properties required for the company title block.
This rule can be useful whenever you get a model from a supplier.
I can add a custom property date using the following
Dim oDoc As Document = ThisApplication.ActiveDocument
Dim customPropertySet As PropertySet = oDoc.PropertySets.Item("Inventor User Defined Properties")
Try
iProperties.Value("Custom", "Released Date") = iProperties.Value("Custom", "Released Date")
Catch
[Code]...
This code works but sets the released date to Now.
But the release date needs to remain blank when adding.
I tried to make the value Null but I get the error:
"Value of type 'System.DBNull' cannot be converted to 'Date'."
Is there a way to keep a custom property date blank?

When I am in the CUI editor and I right click on a button in a custom tool bar, it gives me the option to "duplicate" or "copy".
But when I go to change the properties of the new button, it changes both the original and the new button upon "apply".
Can I just add a new/blank button? I've tried dragging a new command from the list at the lower left corner but it does the same thing. :?
I'd like to create a video with an awkward resolution: 400x70. I don't see how to do this in VS5. Even when I go to the "Share" option, my custom resolution buttons are greyed out. Is there a way to do this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm still in the process of migrating myself from Corel Photopaint to Photoshop CS3 (on XP) and there's only one thing remaining I don't know how to do.
On Photopaint I could add/remove icons from toolbars and make my own toolbars. You could add an icon that represented any menu option. So I had my toolbar setup with File Save, File Save As, Copy, Cut, Paste, Remove Selection, Crop to Mask, Flatten Image, etc etc. All the things I did regularly were always visible and just one click. I know all things are available with keyboard shortcuts but I usually tend to avoid them as I use so many different applications. I use the obvious basic ones (ctrl-s, ctrl-o, ctrl-f4, ctrl-p, ctrl-c/x/v etc) but anything that isn't standard across apps I don't use.
Are custom toolbars possible in PS CS3? As with most things with PS so far,

I'm working on creating a disc menu in VS Pro X4. I've customized several parts of my menu (background, music, text, etc.), but I can't figure out how to change the little highlight icons that appear next to the selected menu options. Is it even possible to customize these?
