View 9 RepliesI`m working on this architecture project and copied some clean lines to the file from a landscape design project.
Somehow these text styles showed up to my file (more than 50 text styles from xrefs, because of their strange names, even though I don`t have any attachment). And it says that I cannot delete them cause I`m using it.
I`ve tried out everything I could imagine and read about it. It doesn`t work. Now this simple .dwg file is very heavy and with a lot of unwanted text styles. Even if I try to copy just the lines to start over another file, all the text styles go together.
Tried:
PURGE
AUDIT
RECOVER
WBLOCK
TXTMRG (not sure how to use it)
QTEXTMODE
Attached is one of the files that this happened to. As I`m working with a few attachments this happened to all of it. My default text style are "B3_1.5", "B3_2.0" and "B3_3.0". All the other are unwanted text styles.
How do I edit line types? whenever I copy this particular existing line type into the other drawing the text style changes. There is no way of editing it when I go to the line's properties. I want to change the line type's Text style.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis has got to be something simple, but I can't get my head around it. I want to take a feature line that has been created by the "stepped offset" command and change its style, in LISP, of course. I have the entity name and have dumped the object, but the style of the FL is not one of them. It shows up in the properties box, but how do I get to it to change it?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to plot 3D objects with hidden lines. I've set the viewport SHADE PLOT property to "Legacy hidden" and set my visual style to 2D Wireframe with 2D Hide-Occluded Lines linetype set to "Dashed". The hidden lines do appear, but I don't like the size and spacing of the dashes. Is there a way to add "Hidden" linetype to the selected visual style? Or perhaps there's a way of adjusting the linetype scale for visual style occluded lines (similar to LTSCALE or PSLTSCALE command)?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I import shape files the polylines will not take the layer style I move them to. They stay a continuous linetype. Linetype and Lineweight is set to ByLayer. Only difference between the new lines and the lines drawing correctly is the lines that stay continuous are 3D polylines and the correct ones are normal polylines. What I need to do to make the imported lines accept my layer linetypes?

When I change the background (active command) to black, the cursor blends into it and not visible. Can’t see where is my current position when editing coordinates. The command background was black and text white for the last 10 years for 20 drafters; we would like to keep it this way

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to change the default label styles for AddSegmentLabel under general styles using .NET...
Dim X As Autodesk.Civil.Settings.SettingsCmdAddSegmentLabel = CD.Settings.GetSettings(Of Autodesk.Civil.Settings.SettingsCmdAddSegmentLabel)()
X.Styles.LineLabel.Value = strChildStyleName ... says name does not exist
or
X.Styles.LineLabelStyleId.Value = oidChildStyle ... "The type of objectId is wrong"
If I manually change it to a child style and then check the values, they are the same as what I'm trying to set them to. If you use a "parent" style then these both work. Am I doing something wrong or this another limitation?

I have a block which includes some Multiple lines attributes.
Now I don't want them to be multiple lines any more.
How can I change them to single line attribute?
In the block editor, the "Multiple lines" in the properties palette is gray out. I have create single line attribute and replace the multiple line attributes one by one.
Why don't make the Multiple lines property editable? This problem is since Multiple line attribute first time introduced.
Interesting thing is single line attributes can easily changed to multiple line attributes through the properties palette!
How can I draw a straight line without that protractor shaped dotted line following my cursor making it lag and also not snap correctly to the next line? Also, I have noticed that I can't set my user interface to auto cad classic settings. There seems to be no option for it in workspace settings.

Is this meant to be as indicated by the wikihelp (Save styles to the library in the Style Library Manager), or have i got something installed wrong.
I really need to have the ends of my lines be square (plines an regular lines). I have tried changing my Plot Style .stb file to have the Line End Style to be set at "Square." I have checked all of the styles.
The problem is that doesn't change the my lines (pline or line). Even if the plot style is correct, it still has the rounded ends.

I have a problem with a recently downloaded version of Inventor. When I start a new drawing all I get is a blank blue screen instead of one with a grid display. If I start a line I can see the cursor change to draw the line but a line does not appear. I don't know if it something with how I installed the program or just system settings.

I have changed the line weight in the layer properties, in the Profile properties and tried changed the line weight in the pen style. Everywhere I could think I try to make the line thicker but when I plot, the line is still the same and difficult to distinguish from the grid blocks of the profile view.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI must be missing something fundamental when trying to change a line from a solid line to a hidden or dashed line in Autocad 2000. I use the ltype command then load either Hidden, or dashed ISO,or both, and invariably the scale is way off in that I always end up with a still solid line, after using modify properties. After all that, every line I draw after that comes out dashed. Maybe I should fool with the layers? Is there a basic procedure I should follow here?

Cannot delete label style component. This is for line annotation labels.
I created a child BRG-ONLY from a BRG-DIST and it will not allow me to delete the distance component. The red X is faded and not clickable.
This is my second day with a new company, and when somebody else created a similar child style apparently they could not either. The just made the distance component invisible... which I guess works almost as well.
How would I be able to pick a specific component to make sure I can delete it?

When doing presentations I always use Realistic. However today I turned on my machine and wanted to choose this visual style but I can't. I have tried playing around with the options>Hardawre>Quality instead of my regular Performance.
