View 1 RepliesI'm about to throw a chair through a window!!!! I just simply and accidentally closed all of my toolbars... just "un-checked" them in the general gray-area right click drop down.....couldn't figure out how to get them back..... read a few cadtudor posts.....started doing advanced stuff like "menu load" and "toolbars load and reload"..... now I'm completely messed up: no menus at all and no toolbars!!
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy system crashed and it apparetnly effected AutoCAD 2006 LT. All my toolbars disappeared, etc. I now have it all back the way it was except for my right-click menu is all mess up.
Regardless if an object is selected or not, the Snap Menu appears, instead of the one I was used to (that included Erase, Move, Copy Selection, Scale etc. ). How can I get that back?
I am using the Trial Photoshop CS6 and I do not know why the Menu bar and the photos appear so blur or low resolution. It is not clear to read. My computer is Apple Mac OSX 10.8.2. I want to buy the serial number before that.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHappens every year. Upgrade and spend half a day or more trying to get everything back to the way I had it. All I have is a couple small toolbars for commands that are several clicks deep in the ribbons and I want them "right there" all the time.
I thought Autodesk 360 might be a good tool for this. All it did was DOWNLOAD some old settings and destroy one of the toolbars I'd created. They really need an override in there to specify upload, download, overwrite or don't.
I'm trying to migrate (I guess that's the technical term) my settings from 2013 Mechanical to 2014 Mechanical. It's probably too late already, after 360 did its deal, but I really want to get this down so we don't go through it every year anymore.
I maintain that PTC had this part of it down Pro/ENGINEER. You had a config file that was editable plain text.

I need to add toolbars in 2d annotation ???
View 2 Replies View RelatedI made some toolpallets and i want them to share with my collegas. I know that i can export them amd then import manualy, but is it possible to set the files of the toolbars on the server so if i change anything everybody has the same?
I dont want to import and export them everytime i change something.
I have just updated to 2013 LT. I want to customize my toolbars to match my old set up but once I've spent ages moving tools to new folders and arranging them how I like it, I close Autocad then open it again and it reverts back to default so all that time editing folders etc is wasted!!
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have 1 user who refuses to learn the ribbon and turns every toolbar known to man on.
It has been suggested that I could remove his ACAD.cui (menuload, then unload). Is this the best way to make sure he cannot use them at all and is forced to learn the ribbon?
Another option I have is to simply click the View tab and uncheck the User Interface panel, but he could just as easily turn it back on as soon as I walk away, or even better he could turn on the Menu Bar from the quick access toolbar and add them through the View pulldown menu or just type in CUI and turn toolbars on that way also.
When I first time use AutoCAD 2013, my Properties toolbar can be displayed by right-clicking at the pull-down menu at click on the properties. But now I could not find the properties option anymore after right-clicking at the pull-down menu. get back my properties toolbar displayed in my AutoCAD 2013.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI finally cleared enough space on my creaky old PC to install 2013 and once again am having trouble with that CUI.
The ribbon is useless to me, partly because it contains nothing relevent (most of the commands I use are legacy) and partly because this creaky PC can't handle it. My usual workspace is set to toolbars (some custom) and menus.
I exported my workspace from 2012 including all the menus and toolbars.
I imported that cuix file into 2013. Everything is there listed as it should be, but when I select the workspace and click apply I have neither toolbars nor menus showing (well I have a tiny toolbar with just new, open and save on it, and another that appears to be related to survey, but none of the ones I want or need.)
What do I have to do to get my menus and toolbars back? they haven't abolished them completely? This PC cannot handle the ribbon and my every request for an upgrade is denied due to politics.
i wish to migrate all default icons of AutoCAD2007 to AutoCAD2014: i' ll wish to overwrrite default icons of 2014 with icons 2007
i know that i can do this with cui save every icon in a bmp file and sustitute every icon of 2014 with bmp file of 2007....
but i think it s so boring and long to do...
does it exist any faster mode?
P.S. i tried to export in a cui file all default toolbar of 2007: ii opened it in 2014... but icons are 2014 default!
same file cui opened in 2007 and 2014 has different icons images
Every time I open ACA 2013, my toolbars that I have loaded turn off. Well currently only the layers toolbar remains, my custom toolbar and the properties toolbar turn off every time I open ACA with the icon or the exe file itself. If I open a drawing file the toolbars seem to remain. I also just installed the service pack, no change.

I actually purchased this software for work, not to tweet or facebook.
I had a valuable program that used the screen menu to insert blocks to aid in creation of architectural details. Now that the screen menu is no longer supported, is there anyway to run a script type of menu that points to various other menus?
I checked the only reference to screen menus. However, there was no reference to screen menus in either comment.
Cant open the menu bar from the program AutoCAD for Mac 2013
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have loaded Autocad 2013 and the the font size for the menubar at the top is very large. When I added 5 of my own menus to it, it now wraps around to another line. The Autocad 2012 let me get my extra menus in because the font size was much smaller.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm used to have the "Enter" and "Repeat Last Command" on the right mouse button. I want to use the shortcut menu on any other free mouse button (I have Logitech Performance MX mouse).
Is there a way to remap the shortcut menu?
I recently updated to 2014. My coworker updated yesterday. When I want to change the location of dimension text I hover over the text grip and the menu appears. My coworker's menu does not appear. She did a repair to the installation but the menu still does not appear. Is there a variable that controls that?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have attached an image...but in 2013 we had an expanded Right Click shortcut menu...so if you clicked on a line for example it would give you alot of options...as you see in the image I do not have all those in 2014.
My "Shortcutmenu" is set to 11
Pickfirst is set to 1.
In CUI I do not see any seperate menus loaded under Shortcut.
Somehow I activated a mode where when I click on an object, if there are several objects there, it will bring up a little menu to pick which one I want, similar to Inventor if you hover or say "Select other...". How do I toggle this mode? Turns out I like it sometimes but usually I don't need it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy company recently upgraded to Autocad 2013 from 2008. I was using a custom dimension cui file for sizing dimensions according to scale. I have reloaded the file into 2013. However, I am having to reload the file daily because it does not function without reloading. Is there any work around for this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with our new 2013 Theres a long time delay before the File menu wether you hover over it or click on the file button. Same if you use the Autodesk top left button
All the others act as expected i.e. edit, view, insert etc
This is really causing a loss of productivity through the time delay and extreme frustration waiting for it to click in
I've recently installed AutoCAD 2014 and am working to get it compatible with my company's internet standards.
There are some features that are not cool with our IT & Security to have enabled in our office.
I'd like to remove these 3 items from the upper right menu. (see attached image).
The items are...

Autodesk Exchange Apps
Stay Connected
what is wrong with my menu bar at the top of the screen. It contains the icons for save, print, undo, type in keyword or phrase, help icon, etc... The icons are very faint in color almost like the colors of a negative picture. I know it should not be like this because other students menu bar shows up fine.
p.s. Attached is a screenshot of my menu bar.
The 'Edit' pulldown menu is missing from my version AutoCAD 2013. Additionally, the commands found in that pulldown are disabled, so 'undo' 'copy' 'paste' and etc are all non functional. The 'View' 'Format' 'Insert' 'Tools' pulldowns are also missing. Everything in the ribbon, also gone.
The problem occurred when CAD froze and I had to restart the computer. CAD was really laggy beforehand. Besides that everything was normal.
I tried repairing and reinstalling with the original disk with the same issues. Do I need to do an uninstall/reinstall? It's not the MENUBAR command, and the CUI command comes up with an error saying it cannot be located.

My online menu is grayed out and I also do not have a online tab under options. This was a clean 2013 Autocad install, no migration at all.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have installed AutoCAD 2013 student on my Laptop (Win7 32Bit) and want to work now.
But I have the problem that my Menubar always freezes / becomes instabil.
-> When I open ACAD, the menu bar is by default on "Home", when I click on the tab "Insert", the tools of "insert" aren't visible, there are still the tools from "Home" shown (Line, Polyline, Circle etc.)
But when I click on these wrong shown tools, the tools of "Insert" become active. (Only the 'surface' doesn't react)
Well, I see always the Home-tools. All the other tools aren't displayed to me, but they work (if u know where they are, you can guess and click and hope you hit the right one )
