I`m using the AutoCad Version 2010 and since last friday I`m not able to Plot PDF datas anymore.It shows the Error "Invalid Window"..But it worked hundreds of times before in the same way.

I’m not sure if there is an enhanced workflow to plot the xy coordinates saved in an CSV file in the AutoCAD 2012.
I found the approach below in the web

1.Open the Excel file.
2. Save it as a .CSV file (comma separated values).
3. Open the .CSV file in notepad, add two lines at the top:
._multiple
._point
4. Then save this file with a .SCR file extension.
5. In AutoCAD run the ._Script command, and pick the .SCR file above.
This is an AutoCAD 2011 related question about being unable to see under properties objects that I have attached to polylines in AutoCAD Map3D.
I have created an map3d .dwg that the polylines and points have attributes attached (objects). However, when I access the same file in plain AutoCAD nothing appears under properties.
Is is a format, import settings tweak or simply it can not be done?
I have a problem to plot thin lines and dots when Plot Transparency option is On in the Plot dialog box.
The lineweight is a half of the original. I think i have tried everything.
It shows correctly in the Plot Preview but when printed there are no dotted hatches and lines are much thinner.
AutoCAD - Why does the Normal plot style plot in color? Black seems to make a lot more sense. Almost everyone in Architecture uses black prints most frequently so that should be the default. And you can't adjust Normal to all black. So what was AutoDesk's reasoning?
View 9 Replies View Relatedhas something changed in 2011 controlling prompts to save pdfs when publishing from sheetset manager?? im using page overrides, which uses dwg to pdf.pc3 file. it publishes but no prompt for file name. i have checked the sheetset publish options and it is set to multiple & prompt for file name, however it still doesnt prompt and saves it in the folder nominated. where else is this controlled?

Can not reinstall program as the box is sitting on a shelf 800 miles away.
I have been using AutoCAD 2010 for a while now and then all of a sudden, I am unable to select multiple lines. The only way to select more than one line for a command is to hold down the shift button and then select more lines. I think someone was playing around with the computer and must have changed a setting?

I am running AutoCad 2000 and would expect to be able to have this option available under the Plot command but have not been able to see how it can be done. For example, taking the simple case of a rectangle, I would like to be able to write to file the coordinates of the four corners of the drawing.

I have a table which is linked to a datalink from Excel. The table and contents (text) show up in paperspace; however, only the table frame shows up within the plot preview, or when I try to plot it. The text does not show up.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have several SHP Connections that I am using as background. I can use the Style Editor to get the individual SHP Lines/Polygons/blocks to be the appropriate colors for the information that they include (Property Lines, Buildings, Utilities, etc)
The problem is in plotting this information. The settings in my tried and true .ctb file don't seem to apply to the SHP data. Everything else that actually exists in the drawing behaves correctly, but the SHP data plots as it appears on the screen.

I have been using LT2000 and LT2006 for years. A few months back we purchased LT2013. It took me a little while to get comfortable with the workspace. Then I found the AutoCad LT Classic option. All was good.
My normal procedure with drawings is to take a screen shot, crop it in paint and paste it to ppt and save that ppt as a pdf. This method allows me to share a small portion of a detailed drawing with customers and vendors for review. I am now to a point with one particular drawing where I would like to plot to PDF. This is something I have never had an issue with using the two previous LT versions. When I go through the motions as I always have before…all I get is a blank page. Preview is blank. I am stuck and can’t seem to figure it out in 2013.
I have been making drawings mostly from objects I copy/pasted from objects in previous drawings in my company's database. I had to draw some additions and it is these objects which will not print (everything copy/pasted plots fine).
When I look at the layers window, nothing is out of the ordinary (all layers thawed, unlocked etc).
This is AutoCAD MAP 3D 2009 by the way!
Unable to plot with AutoCAD Map 3d. Problem just began. Reinstalled program. Installed SP-1. AutoCAD will not plot to ANY device. Previews just fine. Printer icon behaves as if plotting. Stays at that point until plot is cancelled.

It works fine, however when i open obviously or plot through sheet set manager specifically and someone is in the excel file i get the read only message and have to click the box in excel to either read only or notify. How can i run plots and not have to check that box?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, plotting to HP 4500 DesignJet. If I attempt to plot an oversized map the plotter either spits out a blank page or says it plotted the map and no map prints. We have another machine running Vista 64 bit and Map 3D 2011 and it is able to plot just fine. Another machine is running XP and Map 2008 and can plot fine.
I have updated plotter drivers, settings, and I have tried plotting off several .pc3 configurations all ending with the same result. As of right now when I need to plot large maps I have to send an e transmit to my other machine in order to plot, which just isn't going to work.
I am new to autocad, I downloaded autocad 2013, When I tried to print/plot it always blank(white), Is there any settings I need to for print/plot?

I have one workstation running Autocad LT 2007 on a windows 7 32 bit OS, and needs to print to a non plot printer, which is a Kyocera KM-4050 KX. I am unable to print to this printer through Autocad LT 2007 and recieve the following error message . . .
"\ServerNamePrinterName: This plotter configuration conanot be used for one of these reasons: The driver cannot be found, the device can not be found, or the driver has a problem. The None plot device has been substituted."
The Printer works fine with all other applications, and the rest of the users who have Autocad LT 2011 have no issue printing.
I followed the instructions in [URL] ..... and did not see my printer model in the list and was unable to load the driver from a disk.I believe the file it was looking for was .hif, which could not be found.
I also uninstalled and reinstalled the printer driver, and did some testing, so the printer works fine except for this application. According to the user the print function never worked for them in Autocad LT 2007.
The product is AutoCAD 2013 Architecture. It installed fine. Typically, as part of the install routine, I go in to the Plot dialog and set the plot style table to monochrome.ctb.
However, on this particular install... something is different. When I open the screen, typcially the plot style table is set to 'none' and I then set it to monochrome.ctb. That is not the case on this one. It is defaulting to AEC Standard.stb and monochrome is not in the list.

I read elsewhere to run CONVERTPSTYLES at the command line. I tried that and it did work..however it does not hold the setting. If I close and restart CAD, I am right back to the AEC Standard.stb default again.
This seems to just be a problem with new drawings? If I open one from the network, it does have the monochrome.ctb setting already set.
I assumed it must have been a problem with the default in options, but I believe I have it set correctly? See below.

If I interpret the above correctly, the plot style table drop down box should be defaulting to 'none' ? but it does not... it defaults to AEC Standard.stb.
I have already tried a complete uninstall/Reinstall of CAD and still have the same issue.
I am unable to plot lineweight in Mtext while printing the drawing. I have checked the 'Scale Line weight' in Page Setup Manager but the Mtext is not get weighted while other entities gets lineweight when printed with the same options.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing that has erp data (somehow) attached to plain text (acadText). I have been unable to determine where this data is embedded or 'hidden" in the drawing - The attached drawing has three text entities, each with erp data attached.
Most of my VBA programming is in Inventor and my AutoCAD coding is not that strong. I have tried listing the text, browsed the drawing database (vLisp editor), tried the data extraction tool and run (entget (car (entsel))) and so far have been unable to find the embedded data.
I am trying to access the embedded data because the erp system updates the visible text with the BOM item number when the BOM is changed in the erp screen (which is very time consuming and a big pain), however this fails when our drafting guys take a shortcut and change the number manually. With multiple balloons, we cannot tell which one(s) have been changed manually. I am hoping to code a macro that displays the embedded data which can be compared to the visible text value.
I have one drawing per file at model tab. When I need to plot a multiple page file, I use:
Print > Batch Plot.
The problem is that I have to set plot configurations ( plot style table, plot area, paper size, etc) in each file before use Batch Plot.
Now I received 722 files with a wrong Plot Style Table. For this time I change the associated *.ctb file at Plot Style folder, but I will need to associate the right *.ctb to each drawing. It's also common to have to change other properties.
I try to load AutoCAD 2010 on windows 7 but it keeps on failing Language Pack - English failed installation aborted, Result 1624 so it rolls back and doesn't install.
