Jan 2, 2012When I upgraded to Autocad (ACA) 2010 I migrated toolbars, etc. from ACA 2009. I am looking at getting a new computer and would like to know if I can just copy one of the CUIX files onto the new system and have everything work just as it does now. Is this possible, and which of the many CUIX files do I copy? Do I need to also copy the MNU, MNR and MNX files?
I’ve searched the CUIX files but can tell from the dates which are the newest.

Jul 27, 2013I have 2007 at the office and 2012 at home.
I would like to migrate the 2007 .arg file into my 2012 version but when I do this the .arg file needs to be a .cuix file.u
I've tried the migrate from previous version but that registers the old 2006 version I have on my machine.
How to get this customization from the .arg file into the correct cuix file. I will want to have this be the enterprise customization.

Apr 25, 2012I have loaded in some cuix files in LT 2010. They have appeared in the customisation area and in the current Workspace and I have turned on the menus I require and no error is returnned, however when I go to the drawing screen none of the customised menus or ribbon tabs have appeared. I have performed an Autocad LT repair and also a reinstall from the add/remove programs and I have also tried a different .CUIX file but still no luck.

Oct 30, 2013We have a custom cuix file that loads some pulldown menus nd ribbon tabs that we have located on the server so that it can be modified and automaticaly updates on all computers once autocad is closed and reopened. My problem is now when I make a change to my setup and save the file, it no longer updates on the other computers.

Apr 5, 2013I have added a few custom autocad commands that are specific to my scenario. I created Ribbon (and Menu for classic mode) for these commands and they are working fine. The only issue is that these Buttons (Ribbon and Menu for classic mode) are not loading the images(icons). All I get is a cloud image for both commands.
I have used 16X16 for small image and 32X32 for large image. Both are bmp files. These are attached to the custom Autocad command that I am using. The commands themselves are working fine, except for the image which is not displayed. In short, what can be the possible reason for images not showing up?

Oct 17, 2013i start in a new position for a new company noticed they have several cuix menu files for blocks such as structural shapes and weld symbols. so i loaded the menus with menuload and map to the directory of the blocks reference in the options files tab, but when i select the menu if has the block mapped to a different drive that does not exist. how can i change it to when i select, for say a w6x9 to map to the correct block on the correct drive instead of mapping it to some s: drive the directory structure is correct but the drive letter is not.

The issue is the laptop tool palettes will reside on the C:/ drive, which is not our network drive. Is there an easy way to switch drives without changing each item, on each tool palette?
I have the same directory tree on the laptops C:/ drive, the only exception is the drive letter.

Dec 4, 2004I know this isn't specifically photoshop, but I wasn't sure where to post it! Apologies if it's in the wrong place. We're looking for file synchronization software to replace our current backup software. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Our current backup software (WinBackUp) is great, but we're backing up 60gb of current files at a time, so the file sizes for a wrapped up backup file are too big for comfort. It would also be easier to have access to exact copies, instead of having to unwrap a backup. CD backups are made separately, so the sync software is just to backup to our 3rd backup drive. A RAID setup is being discounted for now, as we just want it backing up overnight.
Photoshop Elements :: 9 - Cannot Read Backup File From PC On Mac
Jan 19, 2014I am trying to move my Photoshop Elements 9 catalog from my PC to my Mac.
I have backed up the catalog to an external HDD but when I connect it to the Mac I can see the folder but I cannot open it. The backup is big, over 200GB, could this be the problem? I have several other backups on the same HDD but the MAC cannot read any of them.
I can open the folders without any problem on a PC. I took the HDD to a Mac "Genius Bar" and they could not open the folders on their Mac either and had no idea what could be causing the problem. I had no problem migrating to the Mac about a year ago when I first got it, but I suppose the backup would have been smaller then.
Lightroom :: Photo File Backup Location?
Mar 12, 2013I understand that Lightroom catalog backup saves only the metadata refering to changes etc. that have been made to photos. My question refers to the backup of the photo files themselves. If I do a Windows Defrag for instance, the photos will probably be moves in that process to a different location on my hard drive. Can Lightroom still find thesse photo files once they are moved? Or, if I restore photo files from an external drive to my internal hard drive which will probably locate them on different locations than they were originally, how does Lightroom associate the Catalog metadata with these newly relocated files?
