when I invoke the Revcloud command and type "O" for options, I get a message box that says "Unable to open dialog box", if I close that message box I'm able to draw cloud lines in my drawing but I have no control of the cloud since I can not access the options dialog box.
My Revcloud was working fine last week.
why I'm getting the "Unable to open dialog box" message?
I have several lisp routines I have been using since Acad 2002 (with occasional minor revisions) for my title blocks that open up a dialog boxes. None of the lisps I have that should open up a dialog box are working in a fresh 2012 install.
The lisps work in 2010 but not in 2012. I searched through the boards and found some info but it hasn't worked (made sure ATTREQ & ATTDIA set to 1).
Here is one the lisps in question:

I have tried changing the attdia value to 1 in the lisp but the result is the same. The command fails at the same spot:
Command: TITLE attdia Enter new value for ATTDIA <1>: 0
Command: -osnap Enter list of object snap modes: none
Command: nil
If I use -insert I can get the blocks to run by typing all the information at the command line but I want my dialog boxes back!
My autosave keeps giving me this message when ever it goes to save. What does this mean?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using AutoCAD 2012 and I have an Issue that comes up once in a while. I will save the drawing that I am working in and a dialog box pops up with "AutoCAD Message. It says that it is unable to save to drawing, then lists the string where the drawing is found. Instead of saving as a .dwg, it creates a .tmp of the drawing. If I click the okay in the box it disappears and I can then resave the drawing as a .dwg. Lately it will even go so far as to lock the drawing and allow it to be only opened as a read only file.

My co-worker told me to type CMDDIA and change it to 1. But that didn't work for my error. How to fix my AutoCAD issue. View 2 Replies View RelatedI am difficulty getting the options dialog box to open (under the file menu "red A" dropdown list, options button). When I click on it, all of the buttons on top go gray and nothing appears. When I click on the black workspace, I get a compluter bell sound.
What I've tried to do to solve the problem is restart the computer and shutdown the computer.
I used to be able to save as and browse to the file where I want to sane or open a file
Now I get a dialog box where I can only save to the default location or manually enter the path and file name
Same with opening a file - I go file open and it is gives a path to the last file I used. There is option to browse - how I get this back to the normal function of open/save by browsing?
I downloaded the LR4 upgrade. LR4 Image shows up on my desktop, dmg icon and READMe shows up, when I double click on dmg, I get message saying unable to open. Using Mac Pro and upgrading from LR3.

I am running AutoCAD MEP 2012. I am unable to open drawings that are stored on a network drive. I continue to get a "Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0X0000 Exception at f5bfaad0h" and AutoCAD closes. If I copy that same file to the computer and make it local, it opens without any problem. All files local open just fine. Also, I am able to open the same drawing on the network from multiple other computers.
I have tried to repair AutoCAD and check all network settings on the computer, but everything appears correct.
when I try to open the program I get this message:

The dwg is created in AutoCAD LT 2013. i am unble to open the dwg in AutoCAD 2013. Tried recover, wblocked it. Still does not work. Service pack is applied for AutoCAD 2013.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI drew a very complicated 2-D plot this afternoon. The most majority of the plot is composed of different straight lines, arcs. Then I used the polyline function to join them together to form a closed single polyline (Modify->object->polyline).
Later on I want to change something in part of the polyline. Then I used the 'pedit' again, I chose 'open'. But the whole polyline won't break into its original segments. I tried through all the menus, just cannot find the right tool for this purpose.
Does it mean I have to start over from scratch to redraw the whole plot?
It is no more possible open Hatch Edit dialog with double click on existing hatch. Now, this way opens only Properties

I have a drawing file that keeps giving me this message when I try to open it :
"Unable to open this drawing.It contains incorrect or or corrupted information.The RECOVER command may be able to restore undamaged material from this drawing."
When I recover the file I sometimes get a message that 1 error was fixed, sometimes no errors were detected. Either way, when I close it, and try re-opening (whether or not I SAVE it first), I get the same message. I have tried RECOVERALL, AUDIT, AECTOACAD (those AEC objects can be a problem) and tried changing the AutoCAD version it saves to (eg 2007). None of this works. I also discovered that if I WBLOCK the entire drawing it fixes it for ONE reopen, but becomes corrupted if I save it. This drawing is used as a 'template' (not a .dwt, just a "starting point") for other drawings, so the corruption is spreading.......
I am upgrading to a newr version of AutoCAD soon (hopefully that will fix it?), but this is really slowing down produciton in the meantime....
The user is running Autocad 2010, and she was able to perform this function last week. Nothing has changed, and a system reboot did not correct the issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAbout 40% of the time, the REVCLOUD command will finish the cloud as concave. It will start correctly and be correct the entire time I am surrounding an area on my drawing and then when the last arc joins the starting point the entire cloud become inverted. Why? Is there something I can do to make it not do this? I don't seem to have any control over how it finishes. When it completes backwards, I fix it using PEDIT > Decurve then I convert the Polyline into a cloud and it appears correctly. Is there a better way?

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor the past couple of weeks I have been getting a message that autocad cannot save dwg because it is being accessed by another session. This doesn't happen everytime I try to save, and it happens in differant files. After hitting save 4 or 5 times it will usually let me save the dwg. but then I have to go into the folder and clean out all the temp files. I know that none of the other users in my office have the dwg open when this happens so I'm at a loss as to whats causing it.

Unable to save to drawing B: (file location folder)file name.

The only option is to click OK
Now there are several .tmp files in my job folder. I haven't tried to open them or anything else.
The original file will be lost if I close the drawing. I've had this happen when I clsoe the drawing before saving it - I'll get a message asking if I want to save the draiwng before closing it, and then I'll get this message, click OK, and the file will be gone. I have to to the .bak file, make a copy of it and change the file extension name to .dwg to get the file back.
If I get this message when I'm just doing a ctrl-S save, I immediately do a "save-as", copy over the original file name, and everything seems to be fine.

I'm trying to create a lisp routine where It will create a layer for the delta that is needed and at the same time adds the delta. I get delta revisions often and it takes time to add a new layer and a new delta for each plan. I would like to create a routine that creates the the new layer based on the revision number.
For example if I get a revision 2 I would like to have a lisp routine that creates a new layer but asks what number i would like to use, once the new layer gets created the revcloud command would run, I use polylines around my revisions then change them to cloud with the revcloud command. after i pick my polylines to be changed to clouds then it would add a delta block that is in an attribute and it lets me put the number of the revision i want. At the end I would have a new layer, a cloud around my revision and a delta corresponding to the revision number i'm currently working with.
I have a routine that creates the new layer, sets it current, and starts the revcloud command where i can pick the objects to change to clouds, after that I'm stuck, I'm not sure how to tell AutoCAD that after the selection is made to start the insert command to insert that delta attribute block. I mean the routine ends after i pick my objects, I tried doint the delta first but i ran into the same issue since my routine ends after AutoCAD ask me to pick a location to put my delta block.
I need to figure a way to tell AutoCAD that after something is picked or selected then to continue with the lisp routine without ending it. I atteched an example of what I have.
When press "open" the "open"-window dosn't open. Insted it open a comandpromt by the cursor that promt me to enter full search-way and name on the file I want to open.
What can i do to get the "open"-window?
I'm using Architecture 2011 trial and it generates good rendering, but after adjusting sun angle (time), I received a message: Make sure the destination directory is writable and that the disk is not full. Rendering aborted.

I'm an old autolisped making the jump to VBA and I have seen and read various solutons for the equivalent getfiled autolisp function but I never had much luck with them. I installed architecture 2011 last night. When I installed it, it did not remove my 2008 verison. So all my files are still opening the 2008 verison. I do not have much space on my hard drive, so if I uninstall 2008, will there be a problem with 2011?
Is there any reason to keep the 2008 version?
Second problem: in 2011, I click on the open button and it does not open a dialog box. It only gives me a line in the command line. same thing happens when I try to save as.
