Feb 21, 2013I am currently using AutoCAD 2012 and having problems with the STRETCH command.When I select 3 lines, then deselect 1 of them lines and then select the STRETCH command it does not stretch the selected lines.
Now this is the way I have done in it in previous versions and it has worked. (AutoCAD 2010). Our Company has recently moved to 2012.Is this a function that has been removed with this version or am I doing something wrong?
AutoCAD Inventor :: Stress Analysis Not Working Properly?
Oct 11, 2012I am using Inventor 2009 professional and I have to run a stress analysis on a beam. I put the constraints and the forces I need and when I hit the calculate button, the results so up, but when I click on the results, nothing appears. I need to run this calculation and do not want to resort to hand calculations.

Jul 6, 2012I am having problems with quick select not working properly in 2013 when I am cleaning up X-Refs selecting hatcing or anything else it does not just delete what I am tring to select it just deletes everything. If I go back to any prevous version of AutoCAD it works fine the only solution i can think of is to reinstall.

Oct 25, 2012On ACAD versions higher than 2005 the STRETCH command does not work properly. The problem happens when selecting the items from the left to right. The item is MOVED instead of STRETCHED. It works normally when selecting item from Right to Left. However I need it to work from Left to Right so that I can individually select the item that I want to stretch. Because of this, I am still using 2005. Both 2009 and 2012 have this BUG, making them un-usable for my applications. I just got a new computer with 2012 version only, but I can't use it. I am trying to get 2005 installed on it now.

Sep 21, 2012Recently I have started having this annoying problem where I select something and it shows it is selected by the grip but in reality it hasn't selected it as can be seen in the properties box.
Cancelling the selection with the ESC key doesn't work
regen doesnt' work
regenall doesn't work
audit doesn't find anything
Qsave does work but I would prefer not to use it due to sharing drawing xrefs with others means that they constantly have to keep reloading the xrefs
Have tried reinstalling autocad but that doesn't make it work.
Currently have a NVIDIA Quadrow 3500 which is probably not the correct one.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Edit Crop Not Working Properly
Nov 7, 2012I'm having problems with the crop feature in an Inventor idw. Having cropped my view I then go into the browser to edit the crop (edit sketch), the lines on the crop window will not move and I am unable to edit the selection, why is this not working ? Occasionaly I can move / resize one or two of the crop boundry lines but never all of them.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Hatch Pattern Not Working Properly?
Jul 3, 2013I use Autodesk Architecture and Civil 3D. I usually print projects sheets that contain both civil and architecture form Architecture, but occassionly print sheet sets through civil 3d.
Recently, I have had a problem with one hatch pattern available to Architecture but not civil 3d not printing properly through c3d. I added a support file search path to my c3d to point to location of architectural hatches, but the problem did not go away.
AutoCAD LT :: REVCLOUD Is Finishing As Concave
Sep 15, 2011About 40% of the time, the REVCLOUD command will finish the cloud as concave. It will start correctly and be correct the entire time I am surrounding an area on my drawing and then when the last arc joins the starting point the entire cloud become inverted. Why? Is there something I can do to make it not do this? I don't seem to have any control over how it finishes. When it completes backwards, I fix it using PEDIT > Decurve then I convert the Polyline into a cloud and it appears correctly. Is there a better way?

May 11, 2013I have an assignment in school in which we are going to calculate the number of needed rivets and their dimensions to join two pieces of aluminum with the dimensions 5x50x200mm together.
I've created the sheet metal and imported two of them into an assembly along with 8 rivets from the content center with the appropiete dimensions. In comes my problem. I planned on running a stress analysis and pasting the pictures of the results in my report. However, I have a feeling that the stress analysis tool isn't working as it should.
No matter what force I'm applying to the sheet metals, and no matter what material I assign to the different parts, including the rivets, the results, the deformation and force applied to the rivets, are roughly the same.
I've applied a force of 12700N to the two short sides of the sheet metals:

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Toolspace Item View Not Working Properly
Jul 20, 2012I'm having trouble viewing a list within Toolspace Item View. When I click the item in the tree nothing shows up in the item view. There should be a list of all my parcels but there is not. Graphical view works fine. List view works fine with other items in my tree except for my parcels. Also, when i right click parcels and click refresh I can see the list genereate in item view but then it quickly disappears.

Dec 14, 2013When I paste an item in the assembly, the item is thrown off in space. It places it so far away that it is not even in the view window. I have to stop what I doing, do a find in window and then drag it close to where I need it. Then I can start constraining it.
Why does it not place the item at my coursor location like it used to?
I am using SP1.
AutoCad :: Dynamic Block Scale Action Not Working Properly
Apr 11, 2013I have this simple dynamic block that is to change from 4" to 6" to 8" square. I have a linear parameter, 0 grips, and a Lookup function for 4, 6 or 8. It is supposed to scale about the midpoint (insertion point). I have tried both the Midpoint and Startpoint settings for Base Location but it always seems to scale from the far left of the Linear Parameter.

Oct 26, 2011I have been using the frame generator quite often and recently the insert frame command is not working properly. I would like to know if there is a fix/patch for this problem or do I have to re-install the program? I am very frustrated with this problem as I do alot of structural design and the insert frame command comes in very very handy.

May 8, 2013"make components" has worked flawlessly for a few years until today.
I have a part with 47 individual solid bodies. When I select all the bodies and hit the "make components" tool about 2/3 of the bodies deselect and are not included in the list to be sent out to parts. While in the command, I cannot select them in any way. However, I can open one of the derived parts that are created and edit to select one of the bodies that refused to work in the make components command. While this is a workaround im not looking forward to doing this to 30+ parts.

Jun 21, 2011When I create a new sketch on any given view and utilize the 'Project Geometry' command, not all geometry will project onto the sketch. It seems random; I've tried multiple times using different orders in which to choose the geometry. Sometimes certain geometry will project, sometimes not.

Nov 8, 2012In the process of releasing 2013 to the office. We have about 60 machines being loaded, varying from 64-bit Win 7, 32-bit Win 7 and 32-bit Win XP. I have gone through and created new PC3 files for our two KIP printers (3000 & 7000 series). I added one custom page size to each to create a PMP that goes along with them. These files have been placed onto a network folder for all users to access. This is where my confusion begins.
When other users go to utilize these files it is giving an error stating that "the plotter configuration cannot be found, driver cannot be found, device cannot be found, yada yada. The none has been substituted."
So we began to look at the PC3 files and see what the issues are. When the same file on the Server is copied down to a local machine it changes back to a KIP10 driver down from a KIP11 driver on the network. Make Sense?
In order to fix I began running the "Add-A-Plotter Wizard" on the local machine. Created a new PC3 wiih a different name and went back into the program. Now the PC3's that did not work before WORK.
In short, since the 2013 version has a new file format do we have to run the "Add-A-Plotter Wizard" on all local machines before the standard PC3 file will work effectively? Or does having 2011 version still on the machines have an effect on these files?

AutoCAD 2010 :: Revcloud - Unable To Open Dialog Box Message
Sep 18, 2013when I invoke the Revcloud command and type "O" for options, I get a message box that says "Unable to open dialog box", if I close that message box I'm able to draw cloud lines in my drawing but I have no control of the cloud since I can not access the options dialog box.
My Revcloud was working fine last week.
why I'm getting the "Unable to open dialog box" message?
AutoCAD Visual LISP / AutoLISP :: Revcloud And Delta Routine
Jul 9, 2013I'm trying to create a lisp routine where It will create a layer for the delta that is needed and at the same time adds the delta. I get delta revisions often and it takes time to add a new layer and a new delta for each plan. I would like to create a routine that creates the the new layer based on the revision number.
For example if I get a revision 2 I would like to have a lisp routine that creates a new layer but asks what number i would like to use, once the new layer gets created the revcloud command would run, I use polylines around my revisions then change them to cloud with the revcloud command. after i pick my polylines to be changed to clouds then it would add a delta block that is in an attribute and it lets me put the number of the revision i want. At the end I would have a new layer, a cloud around my revision and a delta corresponding to the revision number i'm currently working with.
I have a routine that creates the new layer, sets it current, and starts the revcloud command where i can pick the objects to change to clouds, after that I'm stuck, I'm not sure how to tell AutoCAD that after the selection is made to start the insert command to insert that delta attribute block. I mean the routine ends after i pick my objects, I tried doint the delta first but i ran into the same issue since my routine ends after AutoCAD ask me to pick a location to put my delta block.
I need to figure a way to tell AutoCAD that after something is picked or selected then to continue with the lisp routine without ending it. I atteched an example of what I have.
Photoshop :: CS6 Tools - Not Working Properly?
May 10, 2012 CS6 (Design & Web Premium)! Beautiful interface with terrific power. Just updateded from CS4.
ISSUE in PS CS6:
When I'm retouching with a tool (like the clone tool) consecutively (maybe 7-12 times), I get a "bink" sound, as if the tool has locked up. I can't use hot keys (keyboard short cuts) to undo, resize or resample without getting this "bink" sound. I've clicked on the "move" tool then select the cloning tool (with my mouse) but that only works for 1 more spot.
The "bink" continues for any other hot key (keyboard short cut) operation. I don't want to purge history until I'm completely finished. Quitting / relauncing PS clears this but only until I use the tool consecutively a few times again. What is causing that and how do I fix it?
I'm a power user with 300 images to retouch on a very tight deadline. Eeeeep.Keyboard short cuts are my salvation.
Photoshop :: Animated GIF Not Working Properly?
Feb 3, 2013I am trying to create an animated GIF banner. The banner consist of 2 text layers and several pictures. The text layers remain fixed, only the pictures change.
I have 8 frames and each frame should have following visibility: background, textlayer 1 and 2, [picture] layer X and Xcopy (b.t.w. each picture layer and the belonging copy layer have the same picture and properties).
Now when I change the visibility from frame 1: background, textlayer 1 and 2,layer 2 and 2copy to frame 2: background, textlayer 1 and 2, layer 3 and 3copy and so forth, the visibility of one of the layers in the other frames changes automatically. Photoshop changes one of the visible layers in frame one to layer three and dismisses the chosen layer 2.
I tried merging the X and Xcopy layers, that caused one of the layers not being visible any more leaving me with half the picture. Linking the layers had no effect wht so ever.how I can prevent photoshop from changing the frames i.e. fixing the visibility of each frame?
Photoshop :: Cursor Not Working Properly?
Aug 11, 2013I have problems withe the cursor: it is a cros. I try in preferences to set it to another, or a standard cursor. I then close and restart te CS6. No way to get a normal cursor.

Photoshop :: Font Not Working Properly?
Apr 24, 2013I am using Mac OSX 10.8.3 and can view a font "Curlz MT" in my font book and use it in applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator etc.
If I use finder to find the font, no luck, it is also not stored in Library>Fonts. I am trying to see if I can use it in @fontface for use in website but cant seem to find it on my system.
Photoshop :: Keyboard Not Working Properly In CS5 (Mac OS)
Jan 3, 2012I am having issues with my newly installed Photoshop CS5. Most of my keyboard functions are not working, as if Photoshop did not recognize that keys were eing pressed.
When creating a new document or saving a file, I cannot type anything into the document name field. Same happens when trying to create a new folder to save in.No tool shortcuts work (M for marquee, B for brush, V for move, etc.). On-canvas brush changes ([ and ] for size, { and } for hardness) also do not work.Most regular shortcuts do work (Cmd+Z, Cmd+S, etc.) but "advanced" shortcuts do not work (Cmd+Alt+Z, Cmd+Shift+Z, etc.).
I used Photoshop CS4 before with no problems. Other Adobe programs (Dreamweaver, Flash, Acrobat, etc.) are working normally.
Photoshop :: Gradient Not Working Properly?
Jul 21, 2013am using Photoshop CC and just the other day my gradient tool started acting strange - when I go to apply a gradient on a layer or a layer mask, I will drag the gradient and then if I try to drag it from a different angle to add to it, it erases what I've done and starts a new gradient from that angle. I've never had this issue, is there some setting I need to have adjusted?

Sep 29, 2013I have been using liquify to make minor adjustments to slim down people in photos and up to now it has always worked fine. Today I try to do the same just to make the arms of the girls (attached) a little trimmer and liquify tool refuses to allow slight corrections bit by bit. Instead as soon as you start dragging just a tiny amount it makes a huge jump and drags the pixels massively off. It seems to drag them down first, then make them in a roughly circular shape the size of the cursor.
How can I rest liquify tool to how it was? Why it should suddenly change like that unless I have tripped something by mistake. I thought at first it might be my mouse but I have tried it with mouse, tablet and trackpad all separately wtih nothing else in the USB and still the same result. Have rebooted photoshop and the computer too to no avail.
