AutoCAD 2010 :: Pre-select Objects Before Entering Hatch Command

Jun 1, 2012

I distinctly remember back in the day, (~2006), that you would be able to to choose the items you wanted to hatch first, then enter the Hatch command, hit OK, and your objects would be hatched.  Simple!  Since 2010, you have to enter the Hatch command, then hit Select Objects, then select your objects, then hit Enter, then hit OK, which I find it is less efficient.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Hatch Select Objects - Classic Mode

Aug 9, 2012

Is it possible with the hatch command to be able to select objects first instead of picking an internal point?I looked at this thread first which covers the same problem but not sure if there ever was a solution. URL....

HPDLGMODE is currently set to 2, I tried setting it back to 1 but that brings up the hatch popup window as it does in Classic mode and 0 does the same thing as 2.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Hatch Command Reveals Xclip That Isn't In Drawing

Jun 7, 2012

I'm trying to hatch floor patterns in suits. I draw a pline aroudn perimeter. There are a couple of problems.

First, when I do a hatch by selecting the pline ("object"), it doesn't detect islands, such as our room tag. This is likely because the hatch is over an xref (the suite is an xref, room tag and pline are not), and hatches don't seem to like xrefs.

Next option is to hatch by "pick points". When I do that, and select a point on the floor of the suite, all of a sudden an old xref or xclip appears in 2 locations, and the hatch boundary takes the lines from that new xref into consideration. The crazy thing is that this xref does not exist in any form in the drawing. I have purged/audited the drawing, and the drawing no longer even exists in our computer.

AutoCad :: How To Use Command Like Lengthen In Multiple Objects By Window Select

Aug 10, 2011

as title if I need to select one by one,it will be too slow....Should this function be accompolished by LISP? But I am not familiar with LISP.... the situation is that I have many irregular lines distributed in disorder, and what I want to do is just lengthen these lines "3.5" Meters from the start point of each line.

If I can do this way , then I can join the line to some points correctly in Arcmap.

AutoCAD 2010 :: LWPolyline And Hatch Objects Hide Behind SID Image

Apr 30, 2013

I have three dwg files.  Each of them have separate MrSID files (image files) attached by georeference.  Each file also has one or more polylines and hatch objects on top of the image.

ONE of these dwg files is causing problems.  EVERY SINGLE TIME I plot the dwg file, the hatch and lwpolyline objects are UNDER the image.  So I have to copy the hatch on top of itself and delete the original--then do the same with the pline.

I can use hatch without problems on other drawings so I suspect it has something to do with the drawing or I've overlooked a setting or two.
