AutoCAD 2010 :: How To Have Percentage Format (%) For Calculated Value
Mar 2, 2012
(Again) how to have the percentage format (%) for the calculated value?I calculated the percentage of each area in proportion to the total area. I wanted to show the percentage area in the “%” format. But sounds not to work!
I’m wondering regarding the equation used to calculate the radius of the circular curve. Is it the one attached? How the horizontal curve is updated as the design speed is changed?Ja
i have big problem to save in Autocad 2011, then we save in 2007 DWG format it takes up to 3-4 min even local this problem exist, reinstalled i computer totally clean, no antivirus just windows 7 and updated, even disabled fidelity. then i save in 2010 format it goes fast.
In 2011 every so often I get this error "One or more objects in this drawing cannot be saved to the specified format. The operation was not completed and no file was created." This happens and I just go and click file or regen and sometimes it just saves the file other times it does not.
I'm trying to learn autocad and I just downloaded the 2012 version. I can't figure out how to make the modelspace look the format in all the tutorial videos. I don't have a big menu bar on the top or bottom. It's so hard for me to follow videos when nothing looks the same and I can't find the buttons/commands.
I converted a drawing in pdf format into dxf. I'm using Autocad 2012 to edit the file. The dxf conversion is good, but of course there is no difference between the diffent kind of lines.
I would like to select all lines which have an orientation of 30° with the horizontal and put them into a new layer. Is there a way to do that ? I though about using a filter.
Then I will edit the properties oh those lines (color, thickness, type....).
My problem started when we moved all of the users data to a new Windows 2008 r2 server. Searching and file navigation was slow so we turned on Windows Search service. Greatly improved network searches (users do content as well as file name searches).
Then Autocad started having errors when trying to save or create dwf files. The error "One or more objects in the drawing cannot be saved to the specified format. The operation was not completed and no file was created." Users can save the drawing to the local drive without the error.
Since 2013 is the first version to have pressure networks, do I need to explode the objects before saving to a previous version? Or is there another method? I will lose all my properties if I explode the objects I believe...
I have this table that's reading my table style. All cell formatting is set to General and middle center justification.
When I type in a number the formatting automatically changes from General to Whole Number and upper right justification. When I type in letters everything it fine.
Why using numbers changes the formatting? In the textstyle I have changed the cell formatting to Text but that doesn't work. If I select the table, right click and choose Remove Overrides it moves the numbers to Middle Center as set in the style.
We’re working in AutoCAD 2010 but need to save as 2007 DWG. AutoCAD is set in Options to save to 2007 format, and all files - host and reference - are or should be in that format.
Something is triggering an automatic save of the xrefs. The xrefs are not being edited, in-place or otherwise, but every so often I get a balloon message saying the xref has changed and I need to update it. So I update it, and when I check the file format, I find it’s been saved in 2010 DWG.
Other people on the project are also having this problem. Engineers on this project are using 2009 and keep coming to us and asking where the xrefs are.
This is AutoCAD 2010, "English Version 3" running in XP2 SP3.
I always try to use this wipeout command for electromechanical views that hide details so I don't have to trim line entities. I create pdf files then plot the pdf files to a printer. Why does the printed wipeout fill in black when printing?
Just up graded to Autocad 2012 (student version), how to turn the work space from the new ribbon format to the classic workspace, or if it is possible to do so, as know how on the full version but cant see it on student...
I have data in an Excel spreadsheet that I want to insert into the drawing in a table format that replicates my spreadsheet formatting and creates AutoCAD entities as opposed to a bitmap image or the mess the TABLE command generates - I'm looking to keep my text consistent within the drawing and I still use the old SIMPLEX font.
I've recently had to export DWG files to PDF and the lines print in black whether they are angled/curved or straight. The problem I'm experiencing is that a number of objects that have been rotated at an angle or lines that are curved appear dark grey on the screen in PDF format. I'm using the DWG to PDF. pc3 with monochrome setting selected. I've checked the Plot Style Table Editor and all colours have been selected to print 'black'; greyscale is 'off' and screening is at 100%.
In the attached file there is a User Parameter, "Antal_ledekasser". Inventor has calculated its value to 2.
If you do the math by hand then you see the value should be 5.
Rebuild doesn't force recalculation.
There is an iLogic rule in the part, but this also fails to force recalculation: iLogicVb.UpdateWhenDone=True InventorVb.DocumentUpdate() ThisDoc.Document.Rebuild2 ThisDoc.Document.Update2
Manual work around is to change the formula, then the value is recalculated.
iLogic work around is to change a parameter-value - and run the rule TWICE.
Question: How do I force a real rebuild, that actually wil recalculate parameter-values the first time I run the iLogic rule?
Background: The attached file is a little subset of the skeleton in a large assembly that is controlled by iLogic. The rules are placed in the topassembly, and writes vaules to the skeleton-file.
After writing values to skeleton-parameters I try to force them through with this iLogic RuleParametersOutput() InventorVb.DocumentUpdate() iLogicVb.RunRule("Skeleton", "Update")
Later in the process I use calculated values to decide which components should be active. But my logic fails because my decisions are made on faulty values.
I did manage to get the updating work in 2011. But after migrating to 2012, it seems impossible to have it update correct. The user has to run rules several times, and doing manually updates to get a correct model.
I'm trying to connect the value given by a calculated User parameter to a text. I've been looking for information everywhere, none found. Is it possible to show that value in a multiline text?
Any hydraflow calculates depth of flow and spread at sump inlets? Does it assume that the entire flow is coming from one direction (similar to an on-grade inlet)? Or does it make an assumption about how much flow is coming into both ends of the inlet?
I noticed today that the orifice rating curve for orifices is being calculated incorrectly in SSA. The head is being calculated to the orifice invert instead of to the orifice centerline. This probably has a minor (or no) effect if tailwater conditions are present
How are arrowhead attachment locations calculated when using the Automatic Balloon command? Arrowheads seem to attached to objects at rather strange places!
I normally use auto-ballooning to place balloons within a drawing and then "season to taste". Is there a way to control how and where the arrowhead gets attached to an object?
Currently, when I do drawings, I give my machinists drawings with each point, and they program their machines. To do that, they calculate the round part diameters, which is basically 5" - 2x<Dim>.
I'd like it if I could give them drawings with the real number, and in parenthesis next to it, 5-2x<Dim>.
I've attached a jpg of what I normally give them and how I'd like it to look. Is this something do-able via a macro or something?
I would like to create a lisp that places a block at a pre-calculated point. I've created a lisp that fetches me a block to place into my drawing. The only thing is
I have to point out the place i want it to go. I want it to got into the corner by it self. I would like to create a lisp that calculates, by the retrieved variable of the layout / paperspace, minus 10
from the bottom right corner. minus 10 from the bottom up and from the right edge to the left.
I'm trying to input the price for the number of fixtures in my schedule. I added "count" in the fields. However, when I try to create a calculated value, I dont see "count" to be inputted into the formula. Why wouldnt "count" be listed for the formula??
In this panel the pixel dimensions show is 4,50M . I would like to know How the "Pixel Dimensions" is calculate ? This 4,50M confuse me because my file size is 1,2M.
I created calculated value Plot Ratio (Gross Floor Area/Site Area = Plot Ratio) but it come out result is "0". Any reason why it didnt calculted properly or what is the correct formula to achieve the coreect answers?
