Apr 26, 2012Using Auto CAD 2012 I have recived 12 DWG displaying claims blocks in an area. How I can merge all dwg(s) in one dwg and eventualy save the final dwg as new CAD file?

For publications such as a directory with contact information, it would be easier to manage the layout by merging multiple records into one text box. However, it seems like the only option in InDesign is to merge the records into each of their own text boxes.

Aug 20, 2012I am trying to combine a .CTB file from one of our consultants with ours without overwriting each others colors, pen weights and styles. How can i do that? we both have our own CTB file and we both use about the same colors and thicknesses but for different items (i.e. our consultants red is a thick line used for exterior walls, and our red is used for light lines beyond).

Mar 9, 2012As more and more clients, subs, etc., etc are requesting pdf's more and more often, the issue of "lines merge" vs. "lines overwrite" (and therefore, pdf "flattening" when printing a pdf) is becoming more of a topic of discussion in our office.
I know we're not the only office making pdf's that have to be "flattened" (thereby taking a huge amount more of time to print) when sending to a printer.... but not *all* pdf's we receive need to be flattened so there are some offices that don't have to deal with this issue.
The question is this:
If you use lines merge = on in your autocad, do you have a way to get pdfs that don't need to be flattened? (printing to dwf then pdf is not a reliable option either, as that does not consistantly honor the lines merge feature between dwf/pdf either)
If you don't use lines merge then how do you set up your drawings to allow for easy draworder handling? (and do you use solid hatching patterns in your drawings, which we rely on alot)

Jun 4, 2012I am trying to batch plot to PDF's from a drawing file that has multiple tabs in it. I would like each tab to be a separate PDF file. We are utilizing Acrobat X to write the PDF's. AutoCAD places all of the tabs into one file whether I tell a Multi-sheet file or a Single-sheet file.

Aug 29, 2011For my work, I use a microscope that scans a slide to take an image. It takes around 20 photos and creates a single image, but each one is still clearly visible as an individual image within the overall one, due to shadowing etc. and imperfect alignment of the images. Is there a way to correct this across the whole image, at least to remove the shadowing if not the alignment?

Aug 14, 2013In LR5 is there any way to merge multiple subfolders? For example, in my 2012 folder, I have lots of subfolders that were created when I imported my photos and organized them by date.
But now that 2012 is over I don't need that granularity anymore and I want to consolited multiple folders into one folder.
I tried selecting a group of folders and right clicking but I haven't found any option for merging folder.

Jun 27, 2012I have a logo for an organization I volunteer for that I guess was originally made in such a way that it consists of a large number of "slices" on top of each other. I don't mean slices in the same meaning as the tool in Illustrator, but rather separate, horizontal objects on top of one another that together form the logo. They are not overlapping but have common anchor points.

How do I merge these slices into one object? I'd like to clean up the logo and the paths are quite hard to modify as it is
Photoshop :: Multiple Layers And Copy Merge Saving As PDF?
Mar 27, 2012I need to make multiple duplications of the same layer. This will solve my problem, however after I get the results I want, if I merge the layers, it reverts to the look as if I only had one single layer again. This will also happen if I do not merge the layers but save it as a PDF to get it ready for print. This results in a very muddy/neutral results. I have tried to simply select the layers and copy as merge, select everything and copy merge into a new document, and flatten/merge the image. None of them worked and reverted the image to the original one layer look.

Nov 21, 2013In my (large) Lightroom 5.2 (Windows) library I have three instances of, essentially, the same network share (a Drobo NAS) which appear separately in the library.
One appears as Share (\nas) L:, one as \nasShare and one as \nasshare. The contents of the share are spread randomly across the three - so one might contain the folders seriesevent1, seriesevent4 and seriesevent5 and another seriesevent2, seriesevent3 and seriesevent6.
Is there an easy way to convince Lightroom that they're all the same physical location and merge them in the library? No amount of dragging, dropping, importing or synchronization seems to have had any effect so far!

Feb 26, 2013Why cant I save a cdr job with all the merge fields setup so that next time I open the file I can go straight to 'merge to new document'.
So Ive set up a 10 to view raffle tickets job. Inserted 20 numerical merge fields, positioned, resized, applied font size color alignment etc etc etc.. Takes ages..... So then merge to a new document, works nice and I can save it fine.
There are a hundred reasons why i may have to close the 'master' merge file before the job has been successfully printed. It may be a repeat print job.
Any which way I really dont get why the live merge data fields are lost on closing the file.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Exporting STL With Multiple Objects
Aug 5, 2013I am exporting a design for 3D printing, and it includes multiple objects. If I save each part as a separate STL file, and assemble them in my 3D printer software (Object), the alignment of different parts is lost.
If I save it as a single STL file all the objects are grouped, and I cannot select them individually to assign them different properties.
I am using Autocad 2012 student version, and it does not allow me to select any option at the moment of exporting the files.

Is there an easier way to set up client standards without forcing users to use a specific workspace?
