I need to toggle the visibility of a part in that subassembly in each pattern element.
How do I refer to the part?
I have declared an object for my pattern, and can toggle the suppression on any element.
But I need to get at an individual component inside the element.
I've been trying something like this:

Lightroom :: Toggle Display Of RAW / JPEG?
Oct 21, 2010I shoot in RAW+JPEG so that I can recover from disasters, also I'm fairly new to digital photography so want to give myself as many options as possible. Lightroom works perfectly and imports both the JPG and RAW files from my 5Dmk2, it displays first the JPG, and then loads in the RAW file. This has the effect of showing a quick fullscreen view with one exposure settings, and (normally) once the RAW loads in, everything darkens as the RAW appears.
Sometimes however, the JPG's have perfect color balance and I'd rather work with them than spend 15 minutes screwing with the color - is there a way to toggle between the RAW vs. JPG in each pictureset?
I know there is an option to treat RAW+JPG pairs as a single file, but a quick way to switch between them would be very handy. Does this exist?

Jan 8, 2014Somehow I activated a mode where when I click on an object, if there are several objects there, it will bring up a little menu to pick which one I want, similar to Inventor if you hover or say "Select other...". How do I toggle this mode? Turns out I like it sometimes but usually I don't need it.

AutoCad 3D :: Unable To Revolve Selected Item?
Dec 14, 2013revolving a 2d polyline into a 3d solid. Every time I apply the revolve command and select the 2d polyline and pick my axis points (start and end) it states that "unable to revolve selected object". I have no problem if I want to extrude the same object but have no response with the revolve command except that statement, "unable to revolve selected object"

May 14, 2012I'm taking a photography class and we're getting a quick lesson in using Lightroom, working on Macs. I'm never used the program before and I use a PC so I'm not familiar with Mac either.
I'm catching on pretty quick, but Im wondering, is there a way to use keystrokes or shortcuts to toggle between the menu items at the top of the screen. The assistants in the class said that on a Mac you can access these menu items with the mouse, but in a PC you use the Alt + a letter and can get to the sub-items with either letters or the arrow keys.

Apr 19, 2013I'm looking to get the file path of a selected part/assembly while inside of an assembly. I think I found something that can get it but the example is just different enough I can't figure it out and I don't have time to play with it. There also might be an easier way I couldn't find while searching.

Feb 16, 2013I presently have code that will select objects on screen based on particular stored object handles. The code then prompts the user to add additional selections once these handle selections are made. No problem. The problem lies with attempting to deselect the objects that were selected via object handles. I should say highlighted because that is what the present code is doing. It is highlighting the objects on screen. The code I am using follows:

Photoshop :: Add Item To Layer Context Menu?
Oct 10, 2013I have developed a script that act on the layers individually so it would be great if I could add a new command in the layer context menu (the one that has Blending Options..., Duplicate and Delete Group, Copy,Paste and Clear Style and add or remove colors from the "eye" icon, etc...
I know that you can add the script to File/Scripts submenu but if I had access to it directly from that context menu, it would be much better. I have seen a script that adds a new top menu item to the menu bar of the ESTK so I am hopeful it can be done something similar in PS.
Photoshop :: Insert Menu Item Not Working
May 27, 2012I am trying to create an action to create a new layer by copying the bg layer, add a layer mask to the new layer and then start the Tilt Shift filter. All works until I go Insert Menu Item and choose Blur>Tilt Shift. It just doesn't get added to the action. Other menu items do work. I'm assuming this is an oversight in the implementation of CS6?Can't see that that can be the case.

I've tried placing them in Presets > Scripts, I've tried creating a folder under "Plug-Ins" called "Scripts" and placing them there, and several other places in an attempt to find anything that will work, but so far nothing has. I've also tried deleting the Illustrator Prefs but that didn't work.

Jan 15, 2012I've been using LR3 for over a year - current version 3.6. For no apparent reason, the 'Make second copy' menu item no longer shows in the import panel. Imported files are copied to the location specified the last time the item was available. I've looked in all of panels, but don''t find any way to disable the second copy function, or to manage the second copy function. I'm running MAC 10.6.8.

May 25, 2011I just got a new computer (Windows 7) and I don't like the default "Paint" program that comes with it. I've been using the Windows XP paint program for a long time and Paint.Net was the closest thing I could find to it.
I don't use Paint to edit photos or create super detailed artwork. I use it to draw little things (the image size is usually 50x50 or 100x100 pixels) and zooming in to 400%-800%. I've used paint.net a few times but I was wondering if there was a place in the program that would let me set preferences. It would just save a little time making it more convenient and less frustrating.
These are the things that I would like to change:
1: When moving a selected item it automatically leaves a "checker board" pattern on the image. It's relatively easy to fix with the "Paint Bucket" tool. Though if there was an option to make it only leave the default area white it would be a time saver.
2: When moving a selected item it will automatically replace the image beneath where you place it. In the Windows XP program there was an option to either replace an image or to replace all other colors except white (255green+255red+255green on the custom color spectrum). Is there an option like that in this program?
3: After moving a selected image (using the "rectangle select" tool then the "move selected pixels" tool) is it possible to simply de-select the selected image without having to click on the "rectangle select" tool and right clicking? In other words, being able to move an image, deselect the image, then automatically return the tool to "line" tool?
4: While using the "Line/Curve" tool the 4 click and drag points automatically appear on it to make it "curve-able" so is there a way to just leave it as a solid line without those 4 selectable points appearing?
5: Is there a way that I can make "Line Tool" my default cursor instead of pencil?

Jul 16, 2013I can't seem to figure out a simple/direct method to identify the index of the selected item in a list box.
I feel like I'm missing something, but I can't seem to figure which (if any) property returns an index number if you use it with the .onChange callback for a ListBox.
The following code accomplishes what I need but isn't particularly efficient or elegant and can get muddled if you introduce multiple lists to check.
Any way to duplicate this same behavior with better code

AutoDesk Smoke :: Change The Menu Item Quick Off To Slow Off
Sep 16, 2012Change the menu item Quick off to Slow off.
See attached. It now take 4 pen actions to get the safe titles overlay on and off. And before it was one pen movement. So before it was aptly named quick off. Now you should rename it. Slow off. Or "waste of time" something that matches function.
I vote for reinstating the quick off operation from 2012. And I checked, there is no quick off in the hotkey editor, so I can't streamline the usage with a user key.

Aug 22, 2011I've had this problem in 2011 and 2012 on 2 different machines, but haven't seen it on the bug list, and have seen a post saying the hotkey combo for 'add menu item to shelf' is the same it's always been - Ctrl-Shift-Alt, then selecting menu item.
But when I press that, the menu item executes, but no shelf button appears.
I use this combo - a lot- to make custom shelves per project or need. Frustrated it no longer seems to work.
