3ds Max :: Use Shaded Mode As A Default
Apr 13, 2011I want to use max 2012 shaded mode as a default.
View 5 RepliesI want to use max 2012 shaded mode as a default.
View 5 RepliesI like the way the Realistic shading in viewport looks, BUT I don't like the performance hit.
It keeps turning itself on, and I keep changing it back to regular Shading.
How do I turn prevent max from using Realistic as the default shaded mode?
Whenever I open my file or another file, it loads in Realistic render mode.
In addition whenever I switch to wireframe mode and press F3, sometimes it reverts back to Realistic render mode.
I want my viewport to render in Shaded mode in opening files and general default. How would I do it ?
Is possible that everytime I start 3ds max,the perspective viewport will be in shaded mode instead of realistic?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have printed an Inventor drawing with the views shaded, I noticed that the views have a gradient shade on them, is this standard or is there a way to configure IV so that the views shade in one color and not as a gradient ?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to force "shaded" mode in Nitrous to use scene lights and not default lights? We are doing tons of previs and when using "realistic mode" all of the grain and such with transparency, etc looks just awful. Shaded mode is SO much cleaner and faster, but under Nitrous it can no longer use scene lights to shade your objects. Under realistic mode you can turn shadows and AO off, but any transparency does the refinement process and never ends up looking totally clean.
Under shaded mode, transparency looks GREAT and is way faster. If there was only a way to enable scene lights instead of default lights it would be just like the old pre-nitrous days.
I am evaluating 3DSMax 2013 and my last version of Max was 6. When I turn my viewports to shaded, the viewports fade to black. The objects and everything are still there, and it seems like there is no light source. If I move an object around, the viewport lights back up, yet as soon as I am done moving it, it fades to black again. Is this a preference setting I have missed or something?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI used to use the option to display the "object color" in shaded mode from time to time instead of the "material color". However this does not seem to do anything in MAX 2012.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm working with 2012 for the first time. I'm modeling a rough mass model of a building made of boxes for walls, floor and so on.
As I'm used to, when in Visual Style 'Wireframe' I click on a box and get to see 4 quadradric and 4 triangular grips on the base of the box plus 1 on top to change the height. This is as it always was.
NOW if I change to Visual Style 'Realistic', the grips on the back side are hidden behind the box as well as behind other boxes. Only the grips in front will be visible. No way to get a grip on a box on a side where it touches another.
Even more puzzling is the behaviour of the grips in Visual Style 'X-Ray': the grips will show, but cannot be touched. Instead, an object in front might be selected.
What can I do to make the grips work the old fashioned way - that is that they will be visible and 'manipulateable' on selected objects in all shade modes?
Why I can't set the hidden lines viewbase option to shaded with visible lines mode?

how and if i can change the default color model in illustrator (in the color panel), which is RGB to something else ? (i think colors in HSB and it's a bit annoying changing that every time) i looked it up and couldn't find out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving a bit of trouble as Illustrator CS6 (that I've set to a default color mode of CMYK) is opening CS5 CMYK files as RGB color profile. I don't get a choice. And so it is messing with my color palettes when I convert back to a CMYK color profile.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using CS6 and wondered of there was a way to change the default blend mode of an adjustment layer?
For example, if you use the Curves adjustment, as well as increasing contrast it also increase saturation. I like to use the "Luminosity" blend mode so that I get the contrast without the saturation. By default, I'd like to be able to specify that any Curves layer I use should use Luminosity blend mode.
Is it by design that I cannot hear sound from videoclips played in "clip" mode when the volume is set to 100% ? I can hear the sound OK when the volume is changed to anything other than 100%, like 101% or 99%. By the way I can hear the sound OK when played in Project mode at 100%, just not in clip mode at 100%. This is very annoying as I need to change the volume of each clip to hear it. Product is VS-X5 digital purchase. video clips are from Leica Dlux-5 foto camera, which is basically a panasonic inside (avcdh lite 720p)

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen opening an image in Photoshop CS6, in order to make the best use of the available screen area for viewing my photos, I have to either press the 'Fit Screen' option, at the top, or double-click the Hand Tool. Why doesn't the image fully fit in the available screen area automatically, when first opening? Is there a reason for images to open by default with empty space surrounding it, or is it an oversight by Adobe, in how the application works?
View 18 Replies View RelatedI just got X6. I can't get my default color mode to save. I go to options, document, general and change it from CMYK to RGB click document to save styles for all but it doesn't save it. When I export I have to manually change CMYK to RGB and the resolution every time. In other versions once I set it it was always there. Am I missing a setting somewhere?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Photoshop CS6, if using Free Transform to change the size of a newly-made selection, you have to click 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' option every time to maintain the aspect ratio. How annoying is that! Why isn't this 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' option selected by default? Certainly in my case, there are vastly more occasions when I want to maintain the aspect ratio, and so, in my case at least, it would be much more user-friendly to have 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' selected, by default. Or, alternatively, why isn't there an option in Preferences to either have 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' automatically selected, or unselected, by default, leaving the user to toggle from this starting position, if they want?
View 26 Replies View RelatedI'm doing a lot of work cleaning old files up, and trying to stay in Content-Aware mode of spot healing brush. Switching back and forth from Lightroom, I usually find the radio button has switched back to "Create Texture" mode, which I do not want. I leave it in Content-Aware, but it switches on its own. Can't find any way to set it to stay where I put it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedEach time I open a new image in ACR and then open image the editing screen reverts to QUICK mode and a smaller screen size. I then have to click to change it to EXPERT mode and then click to make it full screen. I never had this problem with PSE 10.
(I am bringing RAW images in from outside and not via Organiser.)
Is there a way to set these defaults?
In the Printer Settings drop down menu both Color Mode and Print Mode are grayed-out. This just happened I cannot think of anything I've done differently.
I'm using OS 10.6.8 and the latest Epson drivers for the 3880. I have re-installed both PS and the Epson drivers. If I print from Acrobat Reader everything seems to work fine, this only is happening in Photoshop CS5.
“annotation scale” on the lay out mode,
I’m not sure about the current “annotation scale” in case of lay out mode.
Annotation scale option is displayed only in the model and viewport mode but not in the lay out mode (attached)!
Based on what annotative objects living on the lay out but neither in the model (or viewport) are re-sized? At this mode, there is no option to choose the annotation scale?
On other words, how to choose the annotation scale in the lay out mode?
For some reason while in text mode, all letters stay locked in Cap mode. My cap lock key is not on?

This may be related to other imported catalog bugs, but does not seem to be quite the same. In Lightroom 4, with an upgraded Lightroom 3 catalog:
1. Select a photo in Library mode.
2. Click on Develop to go to Develop mode
Screen shows "No photo selected". I cannot edit photos in Develop mode.
I can see and edit photos that are found in smart collections, but not photos that are simply in my collections from 2012, 2011, etc. folders
When shading in an Inventor 2013 idw the display shows the shade incorrectly as some kind of sky representation (see attached). I wish for this to be displayed correctly as a grayscale shade?
