View 3 RepliesIMO, brush libraries would be much more useful if they could be edited and saved while open in another document. Having to open a library file to update it is NOT a smooth process.
I'm still using CS5. I assume it's the same in CS6.
I wonder if there's an easy way to have the result just as if I used scissors tool on every anchor of a path. Clicking on every anchor is a tiresome labor.

Now that the animation is complete, I would like to put it on an ease path to make the motnion look more realistic. Unfortunatley, when an easein is set for the 8 ball, it will skew the shapes, and everythign sort of flies off in all directions and then lands back where it should be at the end.
How it looks with an easein during the animation, and how I would like it to look during the animation.
I am doing design for a road network. For the ease of design, I designed the main roads and split the whole network into parts. Every part will contain Main Road Alignments and alignments for a respective parts only. Now I want to combine all these into one file. When I copy all alignments into one file, the surface I created earlier is duplicating and software gets hanged.

I have several dimensions which I'm trying to place on my drawing through VPMAX in my viewport, but the text keeps showing up upside down. When I manually tell it to rotate 90 degrees, the text remains upside-down but the landing becomes vertical. When I rotate 180 degrees, the text becomes vertical which isn't really useful. Rotating 270 degrees almost solves my problem, but the landing is once again vertical.
If it matters, the UCS coordinates have been rotated 90 degrees for ease of viewing in paper space.
I am working with vector art that has lines that either look like they were cut off and not finished out or extend to the edge of the page so they are straight when they should actually be curved.
Is there any way to take a straight line or part of an image and curve it with ease or will I have to redraw or alter each line?
Drawing A has a grid system Xref-ed into it. It also has a block reference in it, repeated in various places throughout the drawing.
I Xref-ed the grid into the block to check something, and now I can't get it out. This means that the grid now repeats all over Drawing A as well and is generally being a nuisance.
If I try to unload the Xref within the block, it unloads it in Drawing A too. If I try to detach it from the block, it returns this message: Xref [Xref name] has multiple references. Not detached. If I try to detach the Xred from Drawing A, it returns the same message.
How do I unload the same Xref that occurs in a block in a drawing, and in the drawing itself, independently of each other?
I have big, fancy, Photoshop 7.0 and I'll be damned if I can figure out how to do some simple redeye removal. The whole thing is really over my head, but I'm a musician trying to clean up some photos with redeye.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter installing the CS4 upgrade on my Vista 32-bit machine I went to uninstall CS3. The procedure ended up with the red crosses and an error message stating that CS3 and components could not be removed.
Having deactivated CS3 I tried once more with the same result.
I would appreciate any advice on how best to proceed to uninstall CS3 whilst ensuring I don't screw up my CS4 installation.
I just installed the CS4 upgrade and am trying to save HD space on my laptop.
Will there be any effects if I remove the old program?
Do I de-activate it first?
I'm running Photoshop CS3 as an upgrade from CS2 using XP Pro, In order to use some third party software I was advised to remove CS2 or the software would not work. But when I did so I found that some of CS3 was compromised as a result. For example, in Bridge I could no longer double click on an image to load it in PS.
Since my CS3 is an upgrade, is it sharing some common files with CS2? And if so, how do I remove it without removing the essential files. And if my CS3 it is not sharing files with CS2, what can I do to remove the latter without messing up the former?
I sadly do not have Photoshop C5 so can not easily remove someone from photos. I tried the cloning tool to just place the background over the person to be removed but it doesn't look very nice. (I'm just starting to use Photoshop).
It is a lake scene and the person to be removed is on the far right, not in the middle of a group or anything.
I have CS5. I have a jpg with a watermark on it that I can't seem to get rid of. It's the sew-classic.com across the page in the image. I was hoping that it would come up as a separate layer in Photoshop, so I could just delete it, but it's all on one. If it comes to zooming in and going over it with the background color it won't be worth the effort!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was looking through some of my old folders this morning and stumbled across a pic I had to tinker with early last year for a magazine I was putting together.
as can be seen in the picture, there is a big patch of light (I assume from a flash or other light) right in the middle of the back ground, which looks terrible.
Also, the rest of the pic could do with a bit of lightening as it's too dark.
How would you go about editing this image to remove the patch of light?
I tried 2 techniques, firstly I used the burn tool to darken the patch of lightto match the rest of the pic.
The second approach I tried was to duplicate the layer. On the new layer I darkened the image so the patch was as dark as the rest of the poster in the first layer. Then I applied a layer mask and made only the newly darkened patch visible over the original pic to give an evenly lit poster.
How do you all remove shadows from backdrops/walls behind people's heads/bodies? I use the healing brush, but is there an easier, quicker way to do it? I have PSE4 and CS3.

In the photo below I would like to remove the sun glare 'spots' you can see on the rear wheel arch (plus a few smaller ones also), but when I try to colour that area it never blends nicely with the rest of the paintwork.
I scanned a doument in Photoshop 7.0 I saved it as a PSD. I am trying to take some type out and put in type with a different font without changing the background.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been looking through the net for an answer to how to remove a background from an image. I saw the tutorial on this site but it didn't help in removing the background from the image I am using.
The background I want to remove is almost like a shadow so it is difficult to distinguish the colours, as everything is black, white and grey. I tried using color range and the magic wand but nothing works.
my client needs an image of a smooth gray plastic container - problem is - it has not been produced yet - all they can offer me is the same plastic container with a red granit texture - how can I create an image of this container and remove the red granit texture - creating a gray plastic without removing all the highlights and shadows that make it have shape ? I don't want to completely redraw the image and have it look like an artist rendering rather than a photograph.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to remove the background from an image. It is a jpg that has had a lot of compression on it, so the edges are quite jaggedy/blurred. I have tried using the magic wand tool, but it seems to cut around the jagedy edges leaving a poor cut.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a really funny animated gif I wanna remove the white background on, thus making it transparent.
The image is opened in Adobe ImageReady CS and I can see it contains 185 layers. I am a nOOb on Adobe ImageReady CS, but know a lot about Adobe Photoshop CS.
My problem is that I created a band logo for a t-shirt. Its on a black background and also has many black parts within the design as well... What I need to do is remove all the black from the entire design so that it will be able to be printed on any color of shirt (except white) and be able to be seen.
The parts that I need to retain of the design are all the white parts. (whatever color the shirt is, will replace the black) and the shirt can only be printed with a white design, hopefully that makes sense. I just need to convert all the black in the design to empty space. I know i could spend hours going through and deleting it individualy but i was praying there was an easier way.
I want to remove the focus of my picture to put it into another picture. Is there a way to do this without cropping around it? (ie: A tool that removes a specific colour/colours?)
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been looking for a tutorial I saw some time ago dealing with removing objects from photos, such as people or vehicles. It was a round-about technique, but seemed to work really well. Unfortunately, I can't find again, thought maybe someone here might know the technique, or know of the tut.
If I remember right, it wasn't something simple like the lasso or magic wand. It seems that it had to do with duplicating and inverting, then from there you could make the selection of the object you wanted to remove, and it made a much, much cleaner selection, and looked very natural when it's moved to another background.
Take for instance, a woman with long hair blowing in the wind. This technique selected all of the person, hair included, but left out the background, including the background that shows through strands of hair. I found this technique was much cleaner than other methods, and am hoping to find it again.
I have a picture of a logo with a white background.
I would like to remove the surrounding white background around the logo.
I tried 2 ways to try and accomplish this (using the color picker and deleting, and using the magnetic lasso and cutting). Both methods left me with a sloppy looking logo.
I have been trying to remove a background from a couple of different images.
If someone that uses E3 or E5.
