Simple question: How do I save out a render as a PSD file?
I don't need a bunch of layered render passes, I just want to save out as a PSD with an alpha channel. Is there a plugin that allows for this (preferably free)?
I have worked in Sony Vegas 9 and I was hoping Adobe Premier Pro CC was similar--- but its not. I can't figure out how to render and save a file as a windows media or mp3 or in any format for that matter.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was just doing a bunch of test renders and playing with lights when a weird render turned up out of nowhere that is sort of a transparent red and black? This happened yesterday, but it actually crashed maya. This time around, it didn't crash, but I'm unable to save my scene. This is the log for the error:

I create short videos using the PS frame animation panel. I used to be able to FILE-export-render video- and choose MPEG-4 Video in the settings panel which would render my file into a small .mov file. Now in CS6 the new render video panel does not have that option. I tried the QT options in the export window and my file is hugh! The H.264 option gives me an .mp4. I put the .mp4 into my web page via Dreamweaver and my video does not play when uploaded into the sever. The video plays fine in Dreamweaver before I upload to the server. After I upload to the server I just get a Q and no video on my web page. If I render the same file in CS5 I am able to view it in my web page. ADOBE WHY DID YOU CHANGE YOUR EXPORT VIDEO RENDERING OPTIONS in CS6?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to convert my AVI files captured from my dV Sony camera (uses the small digital tapes) into mp4 files to save space on my drive.
I was able to render one AVI file to my hard drive but the next time it crashed and wont let me do it again, no matter what I tried. I also downloaded the latest patch.I did used the enhance mpeg rendering and seemed to work.
What video file format would give me the same video quality as the original AVI captured from my camera?Should I use mp4 or there is a better alternative since keeps crashing the program?
I can't render to a file. All options are gray for that function. All other rendering options are fine and work correctly.

Is it because its a student copy, or am i missing something?
I'm trying to utilize Revit ability to link an IES file as a lighting source in a lighting family. I'm running Revit Architecturer 2009. The ies files i downloaded from the manufacturer website produce an image inconsistent with what i would expect a light source to provide, instead of the "white" light, i get a red/green/black/blue image. I can link any of the ies files that are provide with Revit, and they work fine. it's only this Manufacturer provide file that's causing the error.

I have had to re-render hours because the finial result came in much darker then the preview screen and I had to crank up my lights. I think even the quality was better in the preview screen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the student version of AutoCAD 2012 on an HP laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium OS. I originally installed AutoCAD in June of 2012. It worked fine for 9 or 10 months but now whenever I select File/Open, File/Save, or File/Save As, AutoCAD stops responding and the spinning blue donut appears. AutoCAD never comes back and I have to close it from Task Manager. I uninstalled AutoCAD and reinstalled it, and the process went smoothly. However I still have exactly the same problem with the File operations. I apply Windows updates, but other than that have not made any changes to the software on the laptop. AutoCAD works fine for everything except the File operations. I am able to save with CTL/S and am able to open AutoCAD files from File Manager.
View 3 Replies View RelatedURL....I am using PSE 12 as a photo editor for Aperture 3.5.1 and the photo is duplicated (as a tiff) in Aperture and PSE editor opens with the image. When I close the file and say to save the file it brings up the save as window.
I tell PSE 12 to "on first save -- save over current file" it now brings up the "save as" window and won't save over the file (changes the file type from .tiff to .tif)
I have Photoshop CS6 and Elements Premiere 11 and both were showing estimated file sizes properly up until a couple of weeks ago, and both stopped at the same time. Using Image, Mode I have verified on both that the images I am trying to save are 8 bit and not 16 bit images. I am on Window 7, 64bit.

However, if I saved to Multi-picture Format, I would get the familiar .jpg and everything worked fine for a while. This morning I cannot find a file format in "save as" that results in the .jpg file extension.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am working with the animation sequence where I have a video file linked to the object (camera moving through the room showing a TV screen on the wall with a move playing on the TV screen, the movie is linked .mov file). When I make the rendering using the BB everything works fine if I just use one server (the one where I have the main max installation, where all the maps and linked items are located). As soon as I try to use other BB servers in the network I get the error message referring to the linked .mov file. I have the Include Maps ticked in the Network Job Assignment window and if I change .mov video file to static image like. jpg the network rendering works without problems. How and where the .mov video should be set to get the BB network rendering to work correctly in distributed rendering.

If I have multiple project files (.VSP) with different properties, can I batch process the individual files to their own respectful files? That is, if A.vsp is a HD edited video file, B.vsp is a SD file, C.vsp is a SD with different bit rate and screen ratio, etc, can I batch render all the files while they keep their respective properties (Same As First Video Clip)?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have to bake all textures in a 3DSmax / mental ray scene.I'm using "Render to texture" and I have 2 big problems :
1) How can I change the type of image file ? When only one object is selected I can access to "File Name and Type", but when all my scene objects are selected this option is not available. So the baked textures are .tga
2) The baked textures have a gamma value = 1. It's too dark, and I want a 2.2 gamma value.
Im recording 1080p 30fps with my Canon t3i and it lags during the video preview. Is it possible to render the file to a different format to increase its speeds? I heard this was possible, I just transfered over from Sony Vegas, and in Vegas I didnt have much lag under 1/4 preview.

The only option is to click "close" and when i do so, it continues to render but only the sky and grass. My buildings are not present.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe same scene, same settings, produce 2 very different outputs in max 2011 and 2012, render to texture for normals is currently useless in max 2012.
The blue one is a correct tangent normal map created from a sphere in max 2011, the colored one is the the one created inside max 2012 from the same objects and settings, and the last is another sample of normals generated in max 2012.
I have a number of PSD files I've created and I'm trying to save them as PDFs. I can Save for Web and Devices, I can save as a .gif, .eps., and every other format I've tested, but I cannot save as a PDF. I get the error:
"Could not save a copy as (filename) because the file is already in use or was left open by another application."
I'm running Adobe Master Collection CS5 with Photoshop CS 5.5 (12.0.4 x64) on a Windows 7 64-bit machine.
I have a 928 GB HD with 697 GB free.
I have rebooted and tried saving the files immediately after I reboot. I have killed my virus scanner. I have killed a number of other possible culprits including Acrotray.exe and CS5ServiceManager.ext
I have run Process Explorer as recommended by Microsoft and found no applications using the file. I've also tried saving the file to my external hard drive and/or renaming the file with only rare luck.
The boards seem to suggest Adobe isn't taking responsibility for this and pointing it back to the OS or other software. How/where to kill whatever process it is - but at this point, all my indicators point back to Photoshop.

I'm using Ulead VideoStudio 11+ and when I try to render a completed video to a file I receive this error message. The video is a little large, one hour fourteen minutes, so I cut it in half, saving it under a different name and it still gave me the same error message. However, if I render a very small clip then it renders as it's suppose to.
I've never had this trouble before. I reloaded the software for 11+ but that didn't work.
I am trying to render animations and I am still getting the "Undo file size exceeded" message in the middle of my animation. I have tried every option I could find to get it to stop but it keeps happening. Some of the animations take over an hour and I don't want to sit in front of the computer waiting to click ok to increase the file size.
I've maxed out the size in the settings at 4096K but it still gives me the message at 2048 and 3072.
I have a multi layer in my timeline , full graphic motion and long render. The base layer (layer 1) is a SOLID LAYER.
1. i select all that segment (multi layer) that has been rendered (yes, it's rendered). Now i drag it into my desktop (thumbnail view), but what happen is new clip is unrendered. So i have to re-render that clip. Why ?
2. i select all that layer, and collapse it ( contain selected). It collapse into a single clip but also i lost my render in my container. why ?
3. i mark in/out and create subclip. again i got the subclip but it's unrendered.
4. i mark in/out and drag into other timeline (same setting). and the pasted segment has no render file.
Each time I want to have batch render with 4 camera views. I thought it would provide me with elements along with it. But it just brings me only one file as I set .png.
I know it works with State Set by changing camera view. But Batch render should work too.
Okey, so I want to render a normal map directly from render production. Pretty much like the Viewport Filter "Normal map" in Mudbox. Can this be done? And I also want to make clear that I do not want to use "render to texture". I dont want to do any projection against an other mesh, I want to do it directly to the camera.
