In 3ds Max help, its says that it is possible to import WRL format. But, in IMPORT drop down menu, WRL format is not listed. I tried to import anyway using "all files (*.*)" but it doesn't work.

I was trying to import the new Photoshop CS6 file format .psb in LR4.1. It does not work. Is that correct?
If yes, is there an other way to import files (over 25'000 pixel length) in LR4.1 or is there a possibility to use the old .psd format (wich I used under CS4) or other Photoshop file format? It looks that the .psd file format (CS6) has a limitation.
I am getting a File Format Mismatch error when I try to import .jpg , .png or .bmp files into Video Studio 5x. and 6x (trial version).If I try using the file menu (Insert media file to time linephoto), I get an error dialog that tells me I can't insert the file because of a few different reasons.
If I try using the Import Media Files folder icon, I get a File Format Mismatch Error. I can open these files with MS Paint as well as Paint Shop Pro so there is no issue with the files themselves. Also, if I just drag and drop the files from File Explore to the StoryBoard frame, I don't get any errors and I can render my video. Since I have two copies, I installed one on my vista machine and I don't get that error. I can import .avi movie and .mpg files with no error.
I also installed Service Pack 1 for Video Studio 5x. I am running Win7 64 bit home premium SP1.

We have an iMac workstation here running Premiere that will not open projects or import clips. Here's the sequence of events that led to this:
1. Premiere was locking up on the splash screen whenever it got to "ImporterQuicktime.bundle". I tried trashing preferences and launching with plug-ins disabled and received the same freeze. Based on forum recommendations I removed "ImporterQuicktime.bundle" and "ExporterQuickTimeHost.bundle" from the plug-ins folder inside the package. The software launched fine - but none of the Quicktime files in the project were working. So I then took copies of the above 2 files from the iMac next to this one, with the exact same configuration, and pasted them into the plug-ins folder. Since then - launching the software has generated the below errors.
2. Attempting to open any project gives a long error that starts as: The preset used by one or more sequences in this project requires third-party components that could not be located.
3. Starting a new project and attempting to drag any Quicktime ProRes media into the project gives the error: File Format not supported.
I have trashed the preferences, re-installed the Pro Apps Quicktime Codecs, de-authorized the computer and re-authorized it, and upgraded Adobe Premiere from 7.0 to 7.2. None of which fixed the issue.
I'm thinking about trying a complete re-install of Premiere next.

What is the best export/import format for sending 3D files. I need some neutral format files, possibly Solidworks but I am not sure. Also any export settings to make sure I get decent quality files.
Nothing like getting a surface model when you want solid model.

I'm using 3dsMax 2010 on a 64 bit computer.
It is possible to import WRL on a 32 bit computer unfortunately it doest not on a 64 bit.
Now, I would like to know if 3dsMax 2012 on 64 bit can import WRL?

As an alternative, is there a website that offers free .psd textrues for personal use in CS6. I am currently re-creating a a map with poor pixelation and I need a lot of natural (stone, dirt, rock, marble, etc..) textures and building textures for a medieval atmosphere.
When I try to import photos onto lightroom on my external hard dring using my pc the file preview images won't show up and at the end of importing there are no files in my folder. However. when I go to class we use Mac computers and I have no issues importing. We reformatting our external hard drives the first day of class so we could use them on both PCs and Macs. Not sure if its my computer not able to read the RAW format or what.

When importing 300 raw pictures from the camera with LR5, the software crashes 10(!) times. I import the pictuers to a external HDD. The pictures where converted to the DNG-format.
When importing with the photoloader from mac os x everything went fine.
I have been using a trial version of LR 4 and would like to know if LR can use the format of "MM-DD-YY" for the subfolder of the destination folder. My many years of files are organized by the "YYYY" top folder then "MM-YY" then by date of shooting, "MM-DD-YY" within the corresponding month. Is this possible or must I continue to rename the folders after import?

After I import a clip, if I try to play it to sample which file it is, it causes a problem with corel and it has to shut down. If I pull the video into the timeline it plays just fine. I checked my update and everything is up to date with video studio and it says it handles .mod files, but I do not understand why it is freezing then shutting down the program.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI am a C3D newbie using a clients template file and trying to figure out how to import our survey in PNEZD txt format. The template files I am working with are from WDOT and have many items set up including Point Styles, Label Styles, Description Key Sets, Figure Styles and Layers. I am having trouble figuring out exactly what each of these control/do what I need to create. I know that WDOT uses C3D for design and they translate survey from Cacie to C3D.
I have setup an Equipment Database and Linework Code Set that matches how we code things in the field (Begin=ST, Begin/End Curve= PC/PT, etc.). I am confused as to what exactly the Figure Prefix Database does and how it relates to the other Styles. I have put these in a network folder.
My first attempt using Import Survey Data with the latest WDOT .dwt file produces lines (survey figure) that are all Style=Standard and Layer=0. The points (Cogo Point) are all Style=P RW Circle Filled and Layer=P_MISC.
I also tried the same procedure on an earlier version (Dec. 2011) of the .dwt. This produced lines that had the correct Style and Layer. The points that were NOT shots taking along linework (such as a ground shot, manhole, sign) came in with the correct Style and Layer. What is wrong are the points (shots) that are along the lines (edge of sidewalk, storm sewer, edge of lane) have the Style=<default> (which shows as the P RW Circle Filled symbol) and Layer=P_MISC.
This is all overwhelming me. I feel that it is fairly close though, using the old template.I am not sure what would have changed between the two to produce such different outputs.

Have some photos of a warehouse fire in Plymouth Indiana. Files were saved as .jpg Can't get them to open.
One message is "Pain't cannot read this file. This is not a valid bitmap file or it's format is not currently supported." Couldn’t display DSC-0023.jpg because a suitable graphics importer could not be found.

I've got a catalog that work fine in LR4.4, but when I try to upgrade them to LR5 I get the error, "Lightroom couldn't update the format of its catalog file because the file appears to be damaged." The catalogs aren't damaged as they work perfectly in LR4.4. I urgently need to update them to a new mac with LR5.

The video was shot on my iphone 4S and ive even tried converting to other formats yet Photoshop still gives the same error. I have checked through Bridge and I have no option to send to Photoshop on the right click menu. try out the new features of CS6 for video editing.

I checked and my camera Nikon D3100 is listed as a supported camera.
I create short videos using the PS frame animation panel. I used to be able to FILE-export-render video- and choose MPEG-4 Video in the settings panel which would render my file into a small .mov file. Now in CS6 the new render video panel does not have that option. I tried the QT options in the export window and my file is hugh! The H.264 option gives me an .mp4. I put the .mp4 into my web page via Dreamweaver and my video does not play when uploaded into the sever. The video plays fine in Dreamweaver before I upload to the server. After I upload to the server I just get a Q and no video on my web page. If I render the same file in CS5 I am able to view it in my web page. ADOBE WHY DID YOU CHANGE YOUR EXPORT VIDEO RENDERING OPTIONS in CS6?

"Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file."
This comes up every time I try to open a .gif file. Even if I make a .gif file (like the image included in this post), save it and then try to open it again, I get the same error. I tried reinstalling CS4, but the error is still there. I have also done the reset on start-up and nothing. Some have suggested that I open it in (Windows XP Pro) MS Paint and then save it again. Did it and this does NOT work for me, either.
