How do I get rid of the white areas of the pieces that are fragmented and animated? Is there any possible way to make a texture go through the object?
View 3 RepliesIn the image below I have an aerial photo of an Island. I need to make it so as water areas are black and land areas are white (not greyscale) almost like a silhouette. My first plan was to draw round the island with a black paint brush and then use the "bucket fill" with a suitable threshold to fill all of the areas up to the black outline with black, however this doesn't work as the bucket fill either breaks through the black line or when I reduce the threshold, doesn't color the water areas solidly.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a very complex hub model that needs animated visibility on certain areas. So I took all the parts I need to fade out and in and wired them to a slider, and did so with everything else that I need.
I don't get a gradual fade. If the slider value is zero, nothing is there but if its even 1, everything is solid.
How do I make the blue areas white? I rotated a black and white line art and solid (background) blue areas appeared. (CS3 on XP)

Is there a way that I can either make the white transparent or change it all to a different color? It is the only white in the whole picture, but it is divided up into a bunch of places.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've got a drawing in Acad 2010 which consist of about 6000 lines. The image is a ship, and I need the drawing to insert in a HMI screen.
Now my problem: The accomedation of the ship is white, as is the background of the sheet. I need the drawing with a black background, but want to keep the white color of the accomedation of the ship. When I change the backgroundcolor of the sheet to black, the white areas inside the drawing will also change into black. If I trie to hatch the white areas inside the drawing the program gives a messages that there are to many open bounderies.
I tried to make a blok of the drawing and move it on a black square, but then again the white areas will turn black.
So for short: How can I make the white areas non-transparent without using the hatch-command?????
I've got a little graphic that I'm working on at the moment. I am trying to trace it using the Image Trace feature in illustrator.
Everything's hunky dory apart from the fact that the original graphic has a lot of white features on it that I want to preserve. These white bits are not bordered so, in the main page of illustrator, they merge with the white background. When I go to use Image Trace, I can either select "Ignore white" which leaves out all of this white detailing, or I can deselect it which means that the trace then includes the white background and the whole image is set into an annoying box.
how I can remedy this? I know in Photoshop, there's that checked background that shows when your work surface is empty. Is there a way of getting this same thing in Illustrator?
In Elements 6, every time we try to change bright white areas to another color, it doesn't work.
No matter what color is picked, the result is always an area of dark, charcoal gray.
Evidently, the program does not recognize Bright White as a color.
Is there a way to make these changes using this program?
I want to take a B & W photo and add color to specific areas? How do I go about doing this?

How can I best make the browned areas white and preserve/improve the black type? Getting a white background by playing with levels, brightness / contrast seems to result in worse black type.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using LR4 and have a windows 7 i5 64 bit os with 8 gigs of ram. I have just updated my video card driver. When using LR I get parts of it overlaying other parts of it. This also happened with LR3 and it doesn't happen with photoshop or any other programs.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just installed CS4 and am having a problem with the brushes that didn't occur when I used CS3. If the brush is real small the border of the brush displays completely and there aren't any issues. As I increase the brush size the circle that defines the boundary of the brush starts to break up and becomes fragmented. The larger the brush the more of the brush outline disappears. If it gets big enough only about one tenth of the border is visible (if you think of the brush being a clock, the border only goes between noon and 1:00 o'clock). This is making it almost impossible to use any brushes, healing tool, clone tool, etc. Again, never had this issue with CS3 so I can't understand how it could be a problem with my computer.

To explain, here's a comparison example of what I'm trying to achieve:
Imagine the phrase:
EGG-CELERATING THE PACE OF FERTILITY
Where the letter E is:
The vertical part of the E is a stalk of Celery
The horizontals of the E are cartons of Eggs.
Where the "P" of Pace looks like a basic line drawing of a "pacing shoe"
...with perhaps "anxious" looking eyes drawn inside the shoe
...yet still look like a P
...and the remainder is [roughly] like my attached letters on Dim looseleaf background. (see attached)
How would you achieve the EGG-CELERATING phrase? I bet an expert could achieve this within 1/2 hour or less, can't they? So I'm trying to achieve the same as the above:
...albeit it's a different phrase, and different BASIC pics.
...in other words, it's mostly outlined-alphabet, but including 4 basic pictorial-letters, and some more letters containing "eyes"
P.S. Regarding the attachment, note that I placed that in a Layer which I called Layer1
Then tried selecting it & changing background to White But was unsucessful.
I just bought a new computer with Windows 8 and an SSD-Harddrive and installet the Photoshop Elements 12 trial version. I copied my RAW-files via LAN to the SSD-Harddiskdrive. Now when I import these into the organiser some pictures are fragmented. If I check the pictures in the windows explore with the RAW-codec the particular picture is alright.

View 9 Replies View RelatedUsing Photoshop CS5 -- I saved a Photoshop file I created as a .pdf file but some of the areas on the .pdf file (specifically, sections of text) do not have any of the color/fill information, they are just white (blank areas). I've seen this before when converting other Photoshop files and could not find a work around. I tried saving with various compression levels (max, high, med) and it makes no difference.

I assumed the printer would photograph the drawing to make a black plate and the white spaces in between wouldn't show. Oh, oh--what if I'm wrong? If I am, what does the printer or me have to do to get rid of all those white spaces?

Colours are being over saturated in shaded areas and less saturated in light areas when filled over an aeea. The colours need to remain the same saturation level when darkened or lightened. Is a setting affecting the saturation levels?
