I recently purchased the Nvidia 3D vision glasses and when i load max my perspective viewport is in 3D (stereo). How to disable it within 3dsmax or if there are any settings in max? I know I can disable the 3d overall in the nvidia settings but was wondering if max had 3d settings tucked away somewhere.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI created a stereoscopic timeline in Smoke. That seems to work so far, but now I want to output it in full resolution on a 3D TV (Samsung). The TV only supports HDMI in.
I'm working on a Smoke for Mac 2012 with a NVIDIA Quadro 4000 (which has 1xDVI and 2x Display Ports). And we have the AJA Kona 3G (SDI out and mini HDMI). We have a reference monitor which is connected via SDI and that works.
We tried to connect the Mac via mini HDMI to HDMI. We did get a signal from Final Cut Pro, but we didn't get a signal out of Smoke.
I tried all kinds of settings, but there is no way of outputting an image from Smoke. What options do we have, so we can get a 3D signal out?
I heard that Smoke for Mac doesn't support Dual SDI out. Is that right? Would it work to simply buy a converter from SDI to HDMI? Would I still get full res HD out then?

View 5 Replies View RelatedProblem: When I create a new viewport, another viewport's paperspace blanks out or disappears. When I copy a viewport over, the new VP doesn't show anything and you can't maximize/"enter" its paperspace; it's like a simple rectangle, but the properties box says it is indeed a viewport.
Ex. Viewport 1 shows the top view of an object, Viewport 2 shows the right side view... as soon as I add Viewport 3, the top view in VP 1 blacks out. I attempt to ReDraw, Regenerate, etc, but it doesn't re-appear. I've run Plot Preview to see if maybe it's just a fluke with the graphics card on my screen, but alas, even in plot preview the viewport is blanked out.
It almost seems like there is a limited number of viewports I can use.
Solution: Run the MaxActVP command and set the value to a number greater than the number of VPs you actually need. This particular file had that value set at 2; hence, why a new, third VP blanked out the first one.
I have a drawing with a viewport that fits to the page. And I created another smaller viewport over top that just shows the legend. Now when I try to double click inside the smaller viewport it always goes into the larger one. I have tried bringing the smaller one to the front but that didn't work. I know that I can clip the larger viewport around the smaller one or bring the legend right into paperspace or slid the smaller one off to the side work in it and slide it back. This is more out of curiosity of how to get into the smaller viewport.

the odd thing is it never finds the frozen viewports on the first viewport. It catches the others fine.I cannot see anything odd either, the counts of viewports and layers are all correct, and the drawing has no problems.Is there something that must be done to initialize the mechanism that reads viewport overrides?

I select a hard round brush and turn off the Transfer > Opacity Jitter > 'pen pressure' option. However as soon as I thouch the tip of my pen down pen pressure turns back on. This is annoying when trying to do a detailed cutout in a layer mask as it leaves behind opaque areas that aren't always visible right away.
Even if I create a new preset with pen pressure off, it comes back on once saved. There must be a way to turn off pen pressure while using the Wacom tablet. Am I missing something?
It keeps messing with my workflow as I use the backspace a lot and the help key (Mac) is really easy to press. Keeps opening my browser which is not a good idea when you're working huge images and you're on a schedule.

Aiptek and Vista are unable to correct their problems so I need a way do disable that pop up in Photoshop (CS2). This is the same pop up that comes up if you right-mouse-click on the drawing while the brush tool is selected.
I'd be glad to disable ALL of the right-click pop-ups in Photoshop in order to work around this behavior.
Ever since CS4 came out I feel like I've been less productive in Photoshop due to annoying window dock/snapping. Windows are constantly sticking and resizing themselves in ways that blocks the work I am trying to do.
Also the main image itself automatically resizes to feet the work space and I find this also an annoyance. This is my main question: How can I disable "sticky" windows? In fact if there a way to get the old classic skin back that would be great, also...
because all the programs in CS4 are missing a handle bar at the top of the window, making it difficult to find a place to click to drag the window around...which also wastes time. Sometimes the classic skin is visible underneath buttons in graphic glitches..
Finally, is there a way to disable hardware acceleration completely? My processor is fast enough that it can complete tasks faster than the latency of accessing the GPU, so hardware acceleration actually slows things down. Also the hardware code has bugs in it that prevents me from opening massive images (eg, 21600 x 21600 image crashes).
If I select Free Transform on a selection, and then try to move that selection around on the screen, while I'm moving it, it snaps, and I don't want this 'snap'. How do I disable it? I KNOW that you don't always need to select Free Transform to move a selection, but I NEED to in this case.

View 6 Replies View RelatedUp until mid-December of 2013, I was able to copy vector art out of Illustrator CC and paste it in a non-Adobe application (Comic Life, by Plasq). No hitches, worked great.
Since then, I've upgraded to a new MacPro and downloaded fresh copies of all apps, inclucing Illustrator 17.0.2. Now, when I copy vector art, it pastes code, not art:

So something has changed in how Illustrator manages its clipboard, and specifically, it seems to now copy out SVG, not postscript. And by the way, I've tried checking and unchecking, in various combinations, the Clipboard on Quit preferences, and the result is always the same.
Can SVG clipboard format be turned off? Can I control what format the clipboard uses? And to be clear, I'm not talking about Save As... SVG. I'm talking about how the clipboard copies.
It seems there is no way to stop illustrator (CS5) from snapping to the edge of the artboard. Even if you hide the artboard, it still snaps to the invisible artboard.
is it possible that the brilliant folks at adobe missed this one and there is no way to disable this snapping to the artboard?
I am using export action to generate artboard images in JPEG from my plug-in. The "Exporting Artwork..." progress bar is shown when the images are generated. I want to disable this progress bar. I've tried using AIAppContextSuite::AllowProgress (error = sAIAppContext->AllowProgress(false);) but this doesnot disable the progress bar. I'm I using this correclty? Is there any other way to disable progress bar?
