May 23, 2012This is an issue that has gone on in v2012 and still in v2013,
A client of mine has been dealing with a painful workaround when plotting custom sized maps in landscape. If the layout shows the map in landscape as it should, it will not plot. You would have to rotate the drawing 90 degrees for it to plot. The maps cover many sqaure miles, so looking at getting the plot area correct, making various changes and such in the layout, while at 90 degrees, is pretty infuriating. I'm in no way a novice in the Adsk world, so having tried a load of options and such, I'm at an impasse. Below are a few things that have been checked off the troubleshooting list.
Not just maps, but even a simple rectangle does not work;Updating plotter drivers;Deleting layout and/or viewport, then recreating one;Using all combinations of portrait/landscape settings in the plot dialog AND in the printer properties;Dropping the plot quality..Changing the compatibility setting of the program to an earlier version of windows;Using a driver from a different plotter;Change margins on custom paper sizes;Audit the file;Used templates from different versions
AutoCAD 2013 :: Print Drawing With PDF Creator Landscape / Portrait
Dec 10, 2012I can't print my drawings in PDF with format A2, A1, A0 in landscape with good orientation (A3 is ok). The attachment file "ScreenShot-A1" is the only correct pdf but oriented in portrait.
If I print with landscape orientation (preview on Autocad is good), I get the pdf file "Document-A1".
Note: We can't use DwgToPdf due to problem lines which disappeared or moved with different versions of Adobe Reader.
My company imposed PdfCreator V1.2.2.
AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Defaulting To Landscape Despite Portrait Being Selected?
Dec 14, 2011I am working with AC 2012 LT on a Windows 7 x64 system and printing to an HP Laserjet 5200tn connected by USB. The issue that we are having is when we try to print a secion of a drawing. Under the printer properties, portrait is selected and the layout window shows a portrait orientation. However, when we preview or print, the results are in landscape orientation. I've gone over the printer settings a few times, updated the driver, and tested that other programs on the same computer don't have the same issue.

Jan 1, 2014On PC_71, While ploting(creating the pdf via autocad) the pdf,its everytime coming in portait format but we want in landscape format.
On PC_71, if we create the pdf of any document by our Adobe pdf printer PRT13 then its creating pdf properly for both portait and landscape format . But for any autocad drawing file , the pdf printer PRT13 is not creating in landscape format.
I also cross-checked all plot setting with other proper working PC , its same then also its behave differently.
And if we create pdf on any other PC then its creating the pdf properly for any drawing but not on PC_71.
Also 1 more typical point I noticed that if we delete any pdf file from PC_71, then after refreshing its again appeared on same location.
Note - We are using:
Software : Autocad 2012-64Bit , Naviswork 2013 , Inventor Ultimate 2014-64 Bit , Bentley Autoplant V8i - SS4 version : 8.11.9.140 ,MS-Office 2010 - 64 Bit.
Hardware : Workstation Dell Precision T3600
Photoshop :: Color Mode And Print Mode Grayed-out In Printer Settings
Sep 24, 2012In the Printer Settings drop down menu both Color Mode and Print Mode are grayed-out. This just happened I cannot think of anything I've done differently.
I'm using OS 10.6.8 and the latest Epson drivers for the 3880. I have re-installed both PS and the Epson drivers. If I print from Acrobat Reader everything seems to work fine, this only is happening in Photoshop CS5.
GIMP :: Image Size Reduced When Trying To Print Landscape?
Aug 18, 2011I'm trying to print a landscape image but the image is reduced when printed. I open a new A4 sized template and make my image but when it comes time to print the image is smaller on the page than A4. Is there an easy solution to this? I have messed around with orientation both in GIMP and my printer settings, I have used the printers' "fit to page" setting and tried everything I can think of.

Dec 19, 2012I have recently updated LR to 4.3 and am trying to run a contact sheet. I've specified "Draft Mode Printing" but LR continues to try and render all the images. Each page has 108 cells and I'm working with RAW images so it's taking way to long.
In the past it was able to produce and print these types of contact sheets in just a few moments.

Dec 20, 2011Last week I updated my mac to Lion and encountered a problem with lightroom 3. It wont let me preview the print in print mode now! before it did! now when i try and print, it just prints a white blank print?!
Luckily i used my macbook pro, the same problem happened in the lightroom too but it printed the image rather than blank printing
Any reason why i cant see the print preview any more?
Lightroom :: Can't Seem To Select Print Templates Mode
Apr 14, 2013Obviously doing something wrong, I can't seem to select the print templates mode, they appear when I hover them on the left hand side of the screen but they don't then transfer to the center image, I select single, package and custom but nothing happens, I also select the photographs in the collection but the center screen doesn't import either the photo or the presets.

I'm familiar with the safety net that precludes double color management when LR is set to print with a profile. But even when I have output set to "Managed By Printer" I still can't access ABW. It's grayed out. What am I missing here?

Dec 15, 2013I am unable to print from PSE11 editor. i receive an error message stating 'photoshop cannnot print this document'. I can print standard photos from the organizer but any edits I make in editor are unable to be printed. I have checked the printer, it works fine for every other application. I have uninstalled and re-installed PSE11 but still no luck. The problem appears to have started since I installed a new printer (Epson XP). Photoshop is recognising the new printer from the print screen.
I have also tried saving my works in other formats (e.g. PDF) and saved to my desktop. I can print these but the quality is quite poor.

Dec 22, 2012I'm using pse10 on a computer with an i7 processor with 12GB of ram and windows 7 with a color laser printer. The print function works fine while in organizer and sharing mode, but not from full edit. When I try to print from full edit, I get an error message with a red "X" on it that says: "Before you can perform printer related tasks such as page setup or printing a document, you need to install a printer." I can't figure it out. The printer is in "ready" state, and works fine in the organizer mode, and in share.

Jul 31, 2012Our company is setting up the Publish command to utilize the different title blocks within the Layout Tabs so we can create one file PDF(Multisheet). Our title blocks vary from sometimes been all portrait to on other occasions been a mix of both portrait and landscape layouts.
The issue that has arisen is the following example:
Layout 1 - Portrait
Layout 2 - Landscape
Layout 3 - Portrait
When creating the PDF using the publish command it doesn't not recognise the Landscape format therefore is not creating the Multisheet function or creating this function but the rotation of Layout 2 in the example is portrait. Where as when they are all Portrait sheets it creates 1 file which is what we are after.

Sep 11, 2012We just recently updated to AutoCAD 2013 from 2011. We use Publish to create PDF files that we send to our customers. When I tried to create a PDF in 2013 some of my drawings are oriented landscape while others are oriented portrait. I went back to 2011 and used the same drawings and it created them all oriented landscape.
Am I missing a setting somewhere in 2013?
