Xara :: Move Gallery Tabs So That Page And Layer Gallery Tab Is First In Line?
Oct 9, 2011Is there a method to move gallery tabs so that Page & Layer Gallery tab is first in line (at the top) of docked gallery tabs at the right of the screen? I can move gallery tabs, but cannot make Page & Layer gallery tab move to the top.

I started a project and got it pretty screwed up... so not readily finding any way to delete things quickly (delete key does nothing) I closed out the project and started another one. (Rather than pound my way thru piles of documentation looking for a way to mass delete).
In the first project the arrow keys moved objects around as expected. In the second project, arrow keys do nothing whatever.
Paint Shop Pro :: How To Move Layer Group Using Arrows
May 8, 2012When dealing with a single image in its layer I could use "pick tool" to select image and move it with accuracy using keyboard arrows.
I created a mask from a vector (PSP created by itself a group with two layers => raster + mask). After that I am unable to move the group layer using keyboard arrows. I don't know whether this behavior is common to all type of layer groups, but not be able to use the arrows is annoying! Am I missing something? Is it possible to move layer group using arrows (keyboard)?
Ps.: Another "problem" happens when I select two raster layers and try to resize them drag'n'droping. It is impossible and I need to create a group layer to move them together. Is it the PSP common behavior?
Xara :: Updated And Lost Ability To Export Arrows To PDF?
May 31, 2012I've just updated and now when I export a pdf, and lines with arrow heads just export the lines - ie no arrowheads present! This is particularly annoying as I'm in the middle of jobs and clients are coming back to me with "where are the arrows!"

Aug 27, 2011I have an original copy of Corel Xara that I purchased many years ago.
On the disc is a huge amount of clip art and other items, I tried to incorporate these into the Designs Gallery but whilst I could get the graphics to work I could not get the images to show in the drop downs against the icons in the designs gallery. I just got a grey blank panel with the graphic name. This means that I still have to search through the manual to find a specific graphic.
Fortunately I also have the 500'ish page manual (approx 100 per page) for the clip art/symbols/fonts/etc..etc.
I may not use many of the graphics but it would be good to be able to install selected images with the pictures.
Xara :: How To Get Cloud Gallery 2 Widget To Work
Jun 13, 2011Today, I've been mostly trying to get the Cloud Gallery 2 widget to work as advertised. According to the instructions, once the photos I want to use are in place I can -
'Set text shown when mousing over the image using the caption field on the image tab of the Utilities > Web Properties dialog. Do this for all images.'
I've done this, but all I can get to appear is the main title of the widget itself. At no point can I get individual captions to appear describing the graphic.
Xara :: Can't Drag Or Apply From Line Gallery
Feb 22, 2011I know I must be doing something wrong but I've never had this problem before. I am trying to place a line on my worksheet by dragging it from the line gallery. Nothing happening. I can select it and see it drag, but as soon as I release the mouse button it disappears. Also tried using the "apply" button on the gallery.

Once I locate either a complete file and/or a single image how do I permanently added to my gallery file so that when I launch Xara the bitmaps will be available any time I want to use them as a fill from the paint menu?

Jul 31, 2011I have clipped a photo to remove the background and now want to replace one of the images in a website gallery. I know I can delete the original image and replace it but is there a way I can drag my new picture over the old one and replace it like I can when I drag an image from the Bitmap Gallery?
I presume it isn't possible as the original image is a square or rectangle that is filled with the bitmap and the clipped image is an irregular shape.

But where has the rightclick>replace bitmap function gone?
Now one needs to go through the menu>import and adding through the bitmap gallery or fill gallery adding a folder again.
For me dragging from win explorer doesn't work.
At least not adding it to an object,only adding a new photo to the page
Xara :: Delay On Clicking A Page Gallery Thumb
Jul 9, 2013My work PC says it is W7 64bit, Xeon E5504 2.0GHz ( 2 processors ) with 24GB. I am not sure how fancy that is but it sure has a lot of memory.
I have a 400 page, 13MB .xar

Scrolling the PageGallery thumbs was super fast.
Scrolling the whole document was a bit laggy but just acceptable ( not really ).
BUT the delay between clicking on a PageGallery thumb and that page being rendered was unacceptable ( ~15secs ).
So, unable to navigate at a workable speed, I gave up and split the document into several separate files.
In XDPX9 64bit:

It's just the same. If anything the delay after clicking a page Gallery thumb is longer. So I guess memory was never the problem ?

Nov 30, 2005I've had a great time using the Web Photo Galleries in Photoshop CS and CS2, especially since I'm fairly deft with HTML and a total Flash dunce, so the Web Photo Gallery Flash 1 and Flash 2 templates have served me well and allowed me to make fun Flash stuff without having to learn. But, with learn-by-doing, there often comes a point of confusion, and I think I've found mine.
I noticed that (when using the gallery "Flash 1"), if I click the little ? in the bottom right, the file name will come on and stay on throughout all the pictures. This is exactly what I want since that's where I do all my captioning and it really adds something for me to be able to see that. My question: how in the world do I get it to do this by default? I'm always telling friends/family, "oh, click the little ? in the bottom right and it'll show the captions," but am certain there must be some way to do this by default.
I fiddled in the galleryconfig.xml file, but there's only this line

which actually just tells the button to be displayed, but not for the thing that happens as a result of pushing the button to stay displayed.
