I'd like to draw a line with a certain pressure, but I have no tablet."Bow Tie" is almost the right pressure profile, but it's too thin in the middle. Can I adjust those pressure profiles, create own profiles or anything?

View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to draw a perfectly vertical or horizontal line in Xara (Designer Pro 6) without manually lining it up with the grid? Sometimes I just need an instant horizontal or vertical line and I find I have to turn on the grid, zoom right in and meticulously place the pen tool so that the line is a perfect vertical (90 degrees) or horizontal (180 degrees) without slant or lean. Surely there�s a quicker and more reliable method?

Currently if I draw a line, make it transparent, the next line as default the same color and width, but does not inherit the transparency. That means it is not possible or just at me
I have a problem with a recently downloaded version of Inventor. When I start a new drawing all I get is a blank blue screen instead of one with a grid display. If I start a line I can see the cursor change to draw the line but a line does not appear. I don't know if it something with how I installed the program or just system settings.

Ever since that when i click shift, it just allows me to draw vertical lines, rather than vertical or horizontal.
I'm trying to create a new brush that would create a "square wave" (like this, but only the blue part: [URL] of uniform height. However, the "frequency" of the ridges would increase with increased pen pressure from a Wacom tablet. What would the original vector from which I'm creating the brush look like?

For example in Revit I can make angular dimension between lines and then apply any angle that I want, maybe AutoCad has such tool?
I was drawing a lot of lines with the pointer that stuck at the end of the line and after that it stuck at the beginning of the other line (i hope you understand what i mean). I don't know what i pressed but now this function is not active and is very difficult to draw the lines.

2. So ya that one was easy.. hows bout when i want to cut something out ACCURATELY, the pen function, right? (according to a friend)when i make all those little boxes and select the area i want to cut, all that gets copied are the outer lines, which i presume is what ive just drawn.. how do i cut the area inside this?

I've seen this question answered before, but I followed the criteria; 99 transparency 100 opacity, but nothing is working. I have a tablet set up, and on my first laptop, the pressure worked fine in Corel.
I got a new laptop and downloaded Corel again, but it doesn't work now. I've downloaded the driver from the internet, but again, no luck.? Pictured are the different attempts of pressure, each the exact same.
In Xara Xtreme it was very easy to draw multiline polygons (closed or open), because the line tool used a single click to add a new segment to the already-drawn segments. Now, using Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 7 (which supposedly is the successor to Xtreme) the tool for drawing lines works completely differently and does NOT automatically join line segments to each other.

When I use Photo and Graphic Designer 9, I can use my digitizer pen to select tools and menu items, but when I try to use it to draw ing the freehand tool, the pencil icon appears on the screen but no lines appear !
All the other apps I have, such as Inkscape work fine. I have pressure sensivity enabled.
Drawing with the mouse works fine.

My question is, can I change the pressure amount after I drew lines using brush tool. Let’s say I drew a line, it is good but still not satisfactory. What I have so far: I am aware of the "line" option. BUT it paints the stroke OUTSIDE of the rectangle and extends its size. This is NOT what I would like to have.
I've just started with Xara P&GD6 and am trying to draw a symmetrical golden shield. I drew one half of the outline, cloned it, flipped the clone horizontally, carefully lined it up, and used Arrange|Combine shapes|Add shapes to make the shield shown in the attachment. No matter what I try, I can't fill it with colour.

My pressure tablet doesn't apply pressure using the pencil tool -- or any other tool-- It's a CTH470 Bamboo.
