I was taking screen dumps of images from Xara3D and pasting them into Xara Xtreme Pro 4, and noticed that the pasted images at 100% are larger than the original screens! I have to set the Xara zoom to 80% to get the correct size. I have never noticed this before, but usually use two monitors so the size comparison never registered.
Have I changed a setting somewhere in Xara Xtreme regarding pixel size somewhere?
I have created a web document of 1024px 72 dpi on a macbook Pro retina, I want to use a screen dump file, I have inserted copy - paste this in the file, it is more than 2 times bigger. What is wrong. I am used to work on a PC windows..

Trying to use the builtin screen capture tools under Utilities/Screen capture.
There appears to be no way to do a selected capture or partial selection of parts of a window. Instead we have:
Full screen []
active window []
content of active window [x]
So I selected the last one above as shown `Content of Active Window'
But what I actually get is a mini version of the entire Designer pro 7 application Including the menus, borders, and all that guff that no one usually wants in a capture of part of the full screen.
So what does `Content of active window' mean as apposed to `Active window'?
Its really unbelievable that there is no provision like `Region' found in most screen grab tools where you select with the mouse what you want captured.
Maybe I'm just missing how to use this thing, but have included the result of what a `content of active window' does. Its a mini version of the entire application...

the screen blanks out and does not respond. Until you press esc, or click elsewhere on the screen.
Lately I have been having a file created when I close either Video Studi X4 or X5.They are DUMP files which are kept in a folder.I have this files ready to send, because it tells me that I have to send them to the Corel support centre, but I don't know whereI have to send them.I'm also having lots of problems keeping running either of the programmes(X4 or X%). They tend to stop, hang-up, and the screen goes cloudy telling that the application is not running well and I have to force finishing the programme.

I'm making a theme for a site and one of the solid color images has rounded edges through use of transparency levels. How do I replace the blue with orange (or any other color) but retain the original transparency levels of every pixel?

I'm trying to replicate a dump surface from a cad file, but this one is rather different from what i'm used to (more simple and poligonal).
This one is curved and the top of the platform has inclinations has the picture shows.
I'm having trouble on finding the best way to aproach this dump surface. I tried to start from point 2 with the curved feature line and grade back 2% till EG and then grade forward 10% till it reaches point 3 at elevation (900) , but when i grade forward the sides obviosly dont hit my EG.

I have started to get an error message whenever I close VSX3 that says 'please send the dump file to Technical Support for analysis'. The so-called 'technical support' just seems to be ads for Corel software.

In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.

I did take a class for it in college so I know the basics, but still learning. I am trying to create a very basic animation where I have 2 assets that begin off the stage on either side. I would like the elements to slide in from the sides and meet in the middle with about a 20px overlap. I tried setting a keyframe for both elements at 0 seconds and setting the X translations to -2000px and 2000px and then setting another keyframe at 5 seconds and changing the X translations to 48% and 52% respectively. This got me the desired effect, but only because I have such a large monitor. If the browser window is resized or the screen is smaller, the effect does not stay the same due to using percentages to center the elements.
is there a way to animate elements to the middle of the screen without percentages(maybe by using margin:0 auto or something)? Or is there a way to accomplish what I am looking for so that the positioning of the elements is the same regardless of browser window size?
I would like to change this title screen to english title screen at the precisely same picture on below but I want it to be in english title screen.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a trial of Xara Xtreme and Xara 3d 6. Well, I wasn't happy with Xtreme. The demo is sans textures and a few other things and seems to have the need to contact home for everything. I really don't like demos that don't offer the full app. Xara 3d 6 however was really quite a surprise. Then I recalled purchasing 5 last year just for fun but never installing it. I located the disk and ran it. What I didn't know was that I could export quite a few file formats usable in PS, not just animated gifs. That the image can be fully manipulated using keyboard commands and that you can create textures in other apps like Bryce, ZBrush and PS and place the jpegs into Xara's texture folder and use them as applicable textures. Now, as you may know, a great source for shapes can be found using fonts. Using fonts in Xara, applying some homegrown textures along with the inherent 3d capabilities of Xara 3D will be a great source of elements for the type of work I do in Photoshop.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm doing a bit of very simple DTP in Xara and I wanted to check my approach to creating text across multiple pages:
1) Create a text block (I think Xara calls these a 'story') about the size of the page on Page 1 and then enter a bunch of text until it spills out of the bottom.
2) Add a second page.
3) Here's where I may not be doing things 'correctly'... I want the spill over from Page 1 to go onto page 2 so I copied the text block on Page 1, Paste it in-place onto Page 2, deleted the text content on Page 2 then finally go back to page 1 and drag from the little icon in the bottom right of the text block into page 2's block.
When exporting to SVG is there a way to just have the graphic exported and not the whole page? Even when the graphic is selected when going into the Export option the saved file shows the whole page and not just the graphic.

I have never downloaded textures or other things like this before so I have a dumb question, lol... I unzipped the folder, but I don't know where to put the textures. I thought there would be a "textures" folder or something in the program files that would be obvious, but I'm not seeing anything.
