Trying to make some micro ads (90x25) used on financial sites. I want to set my page size to that but can't. The smallest height the program will accept is 50pix.
Is there some way to override? Prefer to set page size so it matches the exported graphic. Less jaggies, less errors on my part.
How about a tutorial on clipview (need refresher for use with animation.. is the clip applied on every frame?)
using Xara to make cartoons and illustrations for sale on microstock sites such as Dreamstime, Fotolia etc. Would the files produced by Xara be acceptable for these sites? (they seem to be fairly heavily biased towards illustrator, as far as I could make out). And is it worth trying to make a few bucks this way, or is the market already oversaturated?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am currently working on a video (hi-def, 1080x1920, 16x9 screen size). I want to add two different graphic elements at different points in the video (amateur home stuff). The first item is a graphic to be used as a static background picture via a green screen technique. The second item is an animation with an alpha channel to overlay a video scene. Both items will be created using Xara. My question is: How big do I make the document & animation so that they will fit seamlessly into the above video? Do I work with a document size of 16x9 inches or 1080x1920 pixels? I realize this is probably a simple question. But I need you experts to weigh in.

Basically I have created a custom size animation as 750 x 245 pixels, this has been exported to .swf flash file. So in the document where I would like to use it, applied the File/Import.
But somehow like this the imported object comes with 192 x 192 pixels dimension, in what the main issue is that this is a square, with big white are around the real animation which was a long rectangle. How I could import the .swf file without those white dimension?
Are there any good video tutorials for redrawing logo such as the one I'm including. Some of my clients don't have the original artwork and I'm stuck with having to redraw small images to get better quality.

However you can get them very close but not touching.
I haven't been doing graphics for a few years and are having trouble getting Xara Extreme to export a small drawing with a transparent background. I am selecting the image in Xara, Export, Save as .png, True color + alpha, Save
The image saves okay but has a white background??
I need to paint the weights of two verts to cling to the middle back. These verts are on arrows that are stuck in a quiver. The quiver is painted to one back joint, as are the top of the arrows. However, the tips of the arrows are painted to the clavical.
I went into the component editor to try to weight them manually to the back, but in the CE, in smooth skins, they are weighted (1.0) to the clav. I know how to weight a vert to different bones if the CE lists them at the top, but since these verts are only weighted to the clav I don't have the option to set the clav weight to 0 and the back joint as 1. And, obviously, I don't know how to manually add the joint I need into the CE to weight it to 1 and kill the influence on the clav to 0.
I tried massively increasing my clip plane to zoom in, doesn't work. The paint weights brush just will NOT pick these verts up.
I create a text box and paste in the info into it. Now I want to resize the box to fit the space available but the handles end up changing the font size. I need the software to change the auto line feeds as the box's size is changed.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have CS5. The photos coming out of the camera are 300 dpi and approx 12.8" x 19.2". When I crop the photo to 300 dpi and 8x10 and send it to print, the printer says the photo is too small. It comes across as 72 dip and 8.333" x 6.667". I was expecting photos to come out of the camera with 72 dpi and a huge length x width. I can then crop and print without issue. Is there a photoshop setting that needs to be set? Is there a different work flow I need to use? I shoot with a 5D Mark III.

I have been saving them as .stp files, but they are very large files after exporting, and I'd like to know if there is a way to decrease the exported file size. I could zip them after I create them, but I was hoping there was an easier way or different format than .stp. I could also suppress numerous internal componants, but I would rather not have to go through that task either. In the end, they would really only require the outer shell, with any externally viewed holes still present.

Like the axis when I want to move, rotate, scale,... sth.
And the size stays, no matter if I dolly, therefore it's sometimes difficult to click the right axis.
I am unable to export them with a small enough file size so that they are able to see it on their slower computer. And it is a pain when it doesn't even fit on a dvd. These videos are somewhere around 2 hours long. I would also like to have them still HD. The only way I have been slightly succesful is to upload them to youtube then download them off again. Is there a way to do this? I have already tried H.264.

The PSD is currently 2550x3300 px (8.5x11 in) at 300 dpi. I'd like to save the resume as a PDF flie so I can submit it online. I have no intentions of printing this particular document. Most websites will only accept a file size of under 1MB. What are the ideal settings for saving a PDF in the smallest file size without sacrificing on image quality? I should also note that I do not have Acrobat Pro.
Why is the text size in the instructional boxes "File", "Edit", "Image" etc: so small that they are almost unreadable. I know its me, but I can't figure out how to fix it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Adobe Illustrator CS6 document with body copy set using 6.5 pt. Helvetica Neue LT Std. - Bold Condensed & Light Condensed.
After saving the file as a PDF in Illustrator using the [Smallest File Size] setting, closing the file, and opening the newly saved PDF in Illustrator - the 6.5 pt. text is now 5.53 pt. with a vertical scaling of 117.65%.
This PDF is for client review purposes - on screen or laser print - not for reproduction. We try to keep the file size as small as possible to make downloading and e-mail attachments manageable.
In this case, my client is opening the PDF in Illustrator to double-check the text point sizes for legal & regulatory purposes.
If I save the same Illustrator file as a PDF using other settings like [High Quality Print], the text size is unchanged.
I was able to repeat the issue using Helvetica LT Std in place of Helvetica Neue LT Std.
