View 1 RepliesSince I have Photoshop installed CC works there the possibility to change the brush size by pressing the ctrl + alt key especially in the Liquify filter anymore. The same problem I have with the zoom function. In PS 6 I was able to press the alt + space key and while moving the mouse in the image in or out back. also that no longer works?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have PSE 11. When working with the Bloat or Pucker tools in the Liquify filter, the Brush Pressure option fades to gray; the only slider I can actually change is the Brush Size. The problem seems to have started about three weeks ago on my old laptop, which was due to be replaced in any case. I've since purchased a new laptop and have done a full install of PSE 11 on it from the original disks - but the problem still persists.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just update to photoshop cs6 (Mac 13.0.4). Unfortunately, it's not possible anymore to resize brush in the liquify filter by "CTRL-Option-drag" like I did before in former CS6 version.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn my system the liquify brush size goes from 1 to 151 to 301 to 454 and on up.
It it not possible to get smaller brushes like 30 60 100?
CS6 extended Win7 Graphic Accelerator on (this makes no difference in brush steps)
When I choose the Liquify option from the Filter menu, the Liquify tool opens and I have access to the custom set of Liquify tools. Unlike almost any other tool where you select a brush size, the Liquify tool requires you to modify the position of a slider rather than selecting the brush size dynamically by right-clicking.
The problem is that the brush size selector control goes from 0 to 15,000px diameter. In order to make effective use of a 15,000 pixel liquify push tool, you'd have to have a really large image. Perhaps there is a case where someone at some time used a 15,000 px diameter nudge brush in the Liquify tool, but in my nearly 20 years of using Photoshop, I have never come across the need for a brush that large.
Regardless, because the selector uses a linear scale, it is really difficult to select a small brush size (say less than 100px) without manually incrementing the slider.
I would really like to see Adobe standardize the tool size/preset selector so that it is always available via the context menu (or equivalent) and that an option exists to enable relative slider values or percentage slider values in incremental selectors like brush size. Percentages could be setup where 100% was the largest side of the current image and then brush sizes could be selected via percentage of your image (of course converting to pixels, but the scale would be percentage-based). Even an exponential scale that favored the smaller values would be useful. Or perhaps, movable caps that would allow you to set your own Max and Min values that would rock.
I might be able to select more appropriately scaled brushes in the Liquify tool when I am working with images where a 15,000 pixel brush head is unreasonable.
what ever size canvas i choose, my brushes come out extremly small ! how can i resolve Photoshop CS6
View 7 Replies View RelatedCurser is dragging across the image and distorting even when not clicking on it. is the proxy image in the dialog box adjustable? the resolution is to hight. I have 16G of ram so thats not the problem. (it works ok on smaller low res images)
View 9 Replies View Relatedwhen i make my brush size very small (to the point that its only like 4pixels dot on the screen), a crosshair symbol automatically appears around it which makes it hard to see the cursor's surroundings when working on small details without zooming in alot (which would make a 4px cursor appear bigger thus losing the crosshair again). I guess this feature is there for people that might have trouble locating small cursors, but on a large tablet that allows very fast work without having to zoom in much, this makes things harder. Is there a way to disable this or modify some files or "hack" the cursor icons somehow and delete it?
(Tried all possible combinations of the PS prefferences but none of it seemed to be related to the cursor becoming a crosshair once the brush size gets very small relative to screenresolution)
Can not view image at full size when in liquify. e.g. the image is much smaller when you select liquify and when you enlarge it it pixelates. Is there a adjust or is something wrong with my Elements?

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhere the upshot of the post is that the filter isn't working because the the map wasn't saved with compatibility turned on.
The 2nd person to reply, Terri Foster, said "maybe the map is buried too deep in your file structure" - she is absoultely right.
I spent 2 days reinstalling Photoshop (CS2) and trying to get the effect I wanted without the displacement filter. My file was buried 8 folders deep and I tend to use square brackets in folder names, too. Once I'd saved the map to the desktop instead,
I opened an existing psd file in Photoshop CS2.
It just consisted of a bottom layer and another layer with a fill.
I flattened the layers.
I then went to filter>distort>lens correction, because I wanted to introduce some lens distortion to the image - but the "lens correction" option was greyed out.
I tried doing this with another image and it was fine.
I have a layer which is white with a clouds render but when I want to go the next step I cannot access the twirl tool or the zig zag tool. I notice this is the only filter I cannot access.why or what I should do to be able to access it for my project.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust installed CS2 and was attempting a tutorial that requested me to use the liquify tool. I go to the filter menu and it is just not there?
I have looked in finder and found it where it should be but it fails to display on my screen!
I use Photoshop CS4 every day all day, as of this morning my liquify filter has stopped working and I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out why. I have already checked the obvious; I am working on the correct layer and 'show image' is indeed checked. I have already trashed the preferences and restarted both Photoshop and the computer. I am attaching a screen shot below (just in case I am missing something). The tool itself is working (I can see the brush and move it), it is just not doing anything. Nothing has changed from yesterday, there are no new software updates to install, I just sat down to start work and it wasn't working.
View 4 Replies View RelatedLiquify as a Smart Filter is definitively a long waited feature but I found an issue with it. I made smart object from a layer, applied Liquify, next I change the document ratio with Crop tool...You see, completely different pixels are liquified now. Dissapointing I've reported the issue already.
View 26 Replies View RelatedWhen I used to use the liquify filter, I was able to see each move/drag as I made it. Now it doesn't show any change until I click 'OK' and only then can I see the result of each 'drag'... So I am sort of having to guess, more or less, where the section I am altering/dragging will end up... Very difficult.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI updated my PS to 13.03. I saw an Adobe video saying now Liquify Tool can have a smart filter so I want to give it a try. I couldn't get my Smart Filter working for Liquify Tool.
I converted my RGB image to Smart Filter under Filter menu. I then tried to choose Liquify Tool but this option is disabled. Is my version 13.03 still not up-to-dated.
I now use a Nikon D7100 and used to have a D3100. The D3100's images work fine with the Liquify filter but with the D7100 I just get a black screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen working in the Liquify filter, my image turns blue and white. See screen capture. I never had this problem in previous versions of Photoshop, before CS6. Is there a way to view the image itself instead of the blue silhouette?
