View 25 RepliesJust installed CS2 and was attempting a tutorial that requested me to use the liquify tool. I go to the filter menu and it is just not there?
I have looked in finder and found it where it should be but it fails to display on my screen!
I have windows 7 64bit, , Dell Precision Covet, 16GB Ram 3.2 GHZ Intel Core i7.My graphics card is NVIDIA Quattro K400M, latest drivers dated 6/21/2013. My windows experience score is 7.6, my machine is state of the art, highest Dell Precision available.
Now that we can eliminate my hardware as the problem, or my drivers as a problem, I would like to report, as many others have, that Photoshop crashes on applying Liquify. I just bought a year subscription to cloud, and the very first thing I tried to do with my photo causes a repeated crash.

I use Photoshop CS4 every day all day, as of this morning my liquify filter has stopped working and I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out why. I have already checked the obvious; I am working on the correct layer and 'show image' is indeed checked. I have already trashed the preferences and restarted both Photoshop and the computer. I am attaching a screen shot below (just in case I am missing something). The tool itself is working (I can see the brush and move it), it is just not doing anything. Nothing has changed from yesterday, there are no new software updates to install, I just sat down to start work and it wasn't working.
View 4 Replies View RelatedLiquify as a Smart Filter is definitively a long waited feature but I found an issue with it. I made smart object from a layer, applied Liquify, next I change the document ratio with Crop tool...You see, completely different pixels are liquified now. Dissapointing I've reported the issue already.
View 26 Replies View RelatedWhen I used to use the liquify filter, I was able to see each move/drag as I made it. Now it doesn't show any change until I click 'OK' and only then can I see the result of each 'drag'... So I am sort of having to guess, more or less, where the section I am altering/dragging will end up... Very difficult.

I updated my PS to 13.03. I saw an Adobe video saying now Liquify Tool can have a smart filter so I want to give it a try. I couldn't get my Smart Filter working for Liquify Tool.
I converted my RGB image to Smart Filter under Filter menu. I then tried to choose Liquify Tool but this option is disabled. Is my version 13.03 still not up-to-dated.
Since I have Photoshop installed CC works there the possibility to change the brush size by pressing the ctrl + alt key especially in the Liquify filter anymore. The same problem I have with the zoom function. In PS 6 I was able to press the alt + space key and while moving the mouse in the image in or out back. also that no longer works?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI now use a Nikon D7100 and used to have a D3100. The D3100's images work fine with the Liquify filter but with the D7100 I just get a black screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just update to photoshop cs6 (Mac 13.0.4). Unfortunately, it's not possible anymore to resize brush in the liquify filter by "CTRL-Option-drag" like I did before in former CS6 version.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen working in the Liquify filter, my image turns blue and white. See screen capture. I never had this problem in previous versions of Photoshop, before CS6. Is there a way to view the image itself instead of the blue silhouette?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI haven't seen this question exactly but when I Click Filter > Liquify, no options appear. What am I doing wrong?
View 13 Replies View RelatedThe freeze tool is not pictured on the left with the other tools. I can access freeze by pressing the "F" key, but there is no way to unfreeze since that tool is missing as well. Only seven tools are seen now.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis did not happen with CS5 or with the Beta version of CS6. I have an integrated graphics card (Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset, and 6 GB RAM).
View 6 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop crashes every time I try to use the Liquify tool. Fairly problematic. I should have the latest drivers, which eliminates what might otherwise be the most likely cause. This happened during beta as well, but I chalked it up to it being a beta version. Did not happen with CS5.5 or previous.

Everytime I select the liquify command PS stops working, I've tried with different resolution pictures, with the 32 and 64 bit versions. If I use CS5 I have no problems.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have subscribed to CC and smart filter support for blur and liquify are not working. I have first deactivated and reactivated PS CS6 extended and then tried uninstalling and reinstalling from my CC account. Neither method worked.
View 12 Replies View RelatedHere's the situation: I've liquified a smart object but I did all the liquifying at the wrong size - the smart object is not at 100% size (my fault for not opening the smart and dragging it back out at 100%). I need to retain the liquifying (and any warping) exactly as it is, and size up the smart object to 100%. Is there any way to do this accurately? It doesn't matter if it's a big/long workaround, as long as it doesn't involve me redoing the liquify, which will never get me the exact same shape.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI"m using photoshop cs5 and the liquify filter dosen't show any effect until after I've clicked ok. I've checked, and unchecked "show backdrop" and the opacity is set to 100%.

When I use the liquify filter (PUCKER), the entire photo moves. How do I get just the part I want to change to move and not the entire photo?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI am trying to despeckle an old photogrpahy and when I click to apply the desired settings, it reverts back to the original and no effect is applied? Why????
View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to use an image as a background for a label but I want the image to look fainter than normal so that it appears to be in the distant background. I think this can be done with filters but I have no idea how to go about it.
I want my text and logo to dominate the scene.
I've installed PS CC and have an AMD Radeon HD 7970M card in my laptop. PS detects the card in Preferences and I'm able to choose it for acceleration (i.e. OpenCL, etc.).
When I try and go Filter -> Liquify on any image, the Liquify dialog pops up, but i don't see the image. All I see is a black in the dialog.
When I turn off acceleration, and go to Liquify, it works.
The Liquify filter in PS 13.0 x64 does not work correctly. The Forward Warp, Magnify and Hand tools work okay, but the rest of them produce the same strange effect of a jumbled combination of swirl and black on white dot patterns. ending with a circular "transparent" pattern. I have just installed after removing 5.5 and using the Adobe Cleaning Tool. There were multiple errors in the installation log file, which I saved. I'm running Win 7 fully patched and up to date. I have a Toshiba Tecra wiith 6GB of RAM and an ATI Radeon DH 6450M GPU.
All three of the non-functioning tools begin with a swirly pattern quickly being jumbled by dots and checkerboard. If you hold the click for a few seconds it ends up looking like the above image.I use the liquify filter a lot and I don't want to waste a fortune by going back to CS55.
Adobe Photoshop CS6 has Stopped working when either Liquify Filter is accessed from within Photoshop running in Win7 32bit. How to keep PS on the air?
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I try to use it now, It basically locks up the whole computer, and takes around 2-3 minutes before it finally pops up with the liquify box.
