I use VideoStudio X2 for most of my video editing but I haven't been able to recreate a menu that I regularly use in VS9. I wanted the icons to approximately a certain size and the ability to have 2 lines of descriptive text underneath. VS9, whilst perhaps a little clunky in the way it works, does have the flexibility I need. In my DVDs I might have 30 title so I do want 6 on a screen and about 5 menus are created.
I have attached my VS9 template (ignore the Background Image referring to VS10). With this template, I can just keep adding files or create new discs with no changes required to the format and only some minimal text editing. Can VS X2 be tweaked to have a similar menu?
I have always encoded in MP4 for my PS3 with previous HB versions. Version 0.9.4 has removed the PS3 preset. What is the GUI recipe for the old PS3 (using MP4) preset?
I just installed and started to use VS X4; previously I had VS X3 with DVD MovieFactory 7SE. It looks the DVD menus in X4 are about the same as in MovieFactory 7SE. Are there more DVD menu templates available from any source? The ones in the program are good but I would like more variety. I have customized these in the past but I'm looking for some with more creativity than I have.
I am pretty used to VS crashing and becoming corrupted from version 6 to X4. I either reinstall or do a system restore. This time my free dvd template pack is not there but it says it is installed and will not give me the option to download again. I just have the basic DVD menus.
"C:Program Files (x86)CorelCorel VideoStudio Pro X4ContentMenu Template" gives me the four folders (4x3,16x9,HD Basic, HD pop up)
Is there a registry setting I can change to make VS think I did not download the menu pack so I can download it again or is there a better option?
I am using VS X2, very happy with it. I have been burning a few SD DVDs with AVCHD and very happy there, too. The authoring options and menu templates is quite limited when compared to my options when creating a standard DVD.
I need to know what is the best additional program I should use to have more options when creating AVCHD discs and Blu-Ray when that time comes. Is it movie Factory 7? IS MF 6 more compatible with VS X2 and will it give me the same features as 7?
I am new to Corel VS having previously used Power Producer/Director and TMPGEncAuthoring software. Have spent the last week customising various DVD menus for use in music DVD compilations. However, I cannot for the life of me work out how to save a customised menu for use in the next and following projects. Have seen the posting "VS PRO X4 fails to save DVD Menu Changes" but it seems to stop short on re-use. Have also ordered the publication "Picture Yourself Creative Corel VideoStudio Pro X4" which arrive next week.
So I was wondering, as I have Corel Video Studio X2 and X4, is it possible to import the DVD menu templates from X2 into X4? Not the ones you can download; apparently they are for quick projects only.
Ok, just got and installed the box version of VS X4. Uninstalled the TBYB ver and then installed the boxed full version. It retained all the custom instant projects I downloaded for the TBYB ver and all other downloads. I went through it all to see what content was added and saw a lot of new content.
But when I went to the Disc authoring program I saw only 6 basic and boring menu templates under AVCHD and Blu-ray and only 3 templates under BD-J while all the smart scene menus were found only under DVD?!?
Why are the smart scene menus missing from AVCHD and Blu-ray?
I also find it sad to see the 3D menus in the really bad DVD Factory Pro 2010 not available in X4 but interesting to find the templates in instant projects.... any way of making these DVD menus for AVCHD or Blu-ray?
Is it possible to import a Smartsound track and use it as the music for a DVD menu? If not, is it possible to convert a Smartsound track to mp3 or WAV to achieve the same end?
Wish I had known X4 was coming out just installed x3 in January. Anyways. I did a project and went to burn to Share DVD, it gave me 2 options, I picked DVD factory pro 2010 first, which I can not burn w/o a menu apparently? So, then I tried, Corel movie Factory 7 SE, when I click the share, create disk and click this option it opens CMF7, then my project disappears? VSX3 closes. It seems I can do what I want to in CMF7, and I can not seem to import the VS file into there either, so I seem to be stuck using Pro2010?
I created several projects on my C:drive and as they are now taking up too much room, I want to tranfer them to a new drive partition. When I do a smart package I lose all menus, and when I simply copy the whole VSPfolder to another drive, I need to re-link all files and even then, the menu doesn't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong or is there a way to preserve my projects properly on another drive and delete the original VSP folder on drive C
I have recently purchased Corels VideoStudio X5 Pro. Having successfully created my own menus in Ulead Photo Impact 12 and imported into Video Studio X5 (and actually getting them working) I have been creating new frames to use in the menus, mainly so that I can change the color to suit whatever background I use. I would like to be able to choose the color of the highlight and also possibly how the frame is highlighted. At the moment the frame is highlighted by completely covering the scene within the frame with either a yellow or cream highlight. I would like to create a border within the frame and have this as the highlight.
I have tried doing this and naming the border as HLI but when imported into Video Studio X5 it does not highlight the border, but the whole scene as before.
Is it possible to use Video Studio Pro X3 to make the edited video into a video file with menu and chapters like you have on a DVD but just on a video file instead ?
I have used Video Factory 2010 for making DVD's with navigation menus but I would like to make it into a file to use on my Mediaplayer instead of having to make a DVD and then ripp.
How to add/change/delete the menu items that appear in the drop down menus in the library? I see how you can add a new folder for Titles but not for the Transitions or Effects. Also, is there any way to change which filters appear for a particular menu selection?
I have a trial version of Video Studio X5 and I am trying to decide if I want to buy it. I am very interested in making DVDs from family video clips.
I guess I am a bit confused about making menus w/ chapter links. I successfully used the "Edit" tab to make a nice movie w/ transitions and chapters. The "Add/Remove Chapter Point" button seems to work just fine, w/ little green triangles on my timeline. However, when I go to make a DVD via the "Share" tab, it seems like the clips are still present on the bottom of the screen, but the program has forgotten all my chapter markings. I see that I can "Add/Edit Chapter" if I want (under "Edit media:") but I just want to use the chapter settings I created when I was on the Edit tab. I found a bunch of tutorial videos and they all seem to involve adding chapters at this point (under "Share" but not under "Edit").
Related question, I am pretty sure I should be able to do the following but not positive Can I create a simple menu that has a user-specified number of chapter links on it? I just want a simple background photo w/ still-thumbnails as links to my chapters.
I tried to make AVCHD disc using X5, but when I load the disc into my Sony BD player all I get is black screen with only highlight buttons. It takes anywhere between 30 sec to 1 min for the menu to finally show up. I have tried few different menus but the result is the same.
Just for the record, I have no issue with discs created in other software packages such Nero, Power Director or Sony PMB, where menu appear right away after loading disc.
I want to transfer one of my drawings onto the illustrator and make it a vector file so it can be engraved with a laser, I have uploaded the image and trace image, where do i go from here?
I am aiming to recreate the texture of the trees in this site map. It looks as though it was originally created with a marker pen, and has several shades of green that I want to also wish show. I have already created the trees, so its just the coloring i'm struggling with.
I've found that the actual font was made by Bethesda (The company that makes the game) and not available on the web. I'm using a substitute, but now my biggest concern is the effect on the font.
So obviously it's a hard Bevel and Emboss, but it's the texture that's killing me. It's either hand-brushed or has a textured overlay.I'm counting on the latter.
Recently, with the release of the next gen consoles, I decided as a challenge to myself to try to recreate the Xbox One controller in photoshop
Here is what i have done until now. Here is the exact image I am trying to recreate. URL...
Now the thing that I don't know how to do correctly are two things:The first being how to make the bumps around the two joysticks And second, the general lighting on the controller.
Also, ignore the 2 buttons in the middle and the gray part where the logo sits (not finished work)
I'm trying to recreate a font used on a poster type thing im making. the text i have used are just images and i cant remember how to alter text you enter to make it look similar to what i already have.
trying to recreate the mercury/liquid chrome-ish effect I created a while ago. The effect is based loosely off of the other picture I have attached. Note that the mercury picture is a quarter the size of the original (to shrink the file size. Also, any other methods for creating mercury effects would be great.
how to make a grid, and rotate it, and change the perspective, etc. What I can't figure out, is how to get the grid to blend together in the background as if it goes on for a very long distance. Even if I start with a huge grid and then rotate and shrink it down how I want it, it doesn't look like that picture. The 'far away' grid lines get faint and do not start meshing with each other.
This is probably a frequently asked question, but doing some searching turned up nothing. I have Paint.net on one computer, and I'm setting it up on another. Is there a way of getting a list of all the plugins I've installed on the previous one, so I can install them on the new one? In poking around, I haven't been able to find a thing that lists all the extras I've installed.
I need to reproduce an alignment shown on some plans. I have not had any luck finding a tutorial about how to re-create an existing alignment.
I have a page of plans, it shows the center line going from a back tangent, into a spiral, through a curve, and spiral to tangent. How do I create an alignment from this data?
I am a surveyor and I'm having a hard time understanding the alignment creation tools, in my data collector it is much simpler, you enter the back tangent and the end radius and the length of spiral and whale, but I'm trying to build a corridor, so I can stake the dtm.
