Oct 9, 2013I am making a video tutorial on using a desktop publishing program. Everything is recording fine EXCEPT when I hover over a tooltip or click for a drop-down box. I can see the tooltips and drop-down boxes during the recording session, but (how odd!) VideoStudio doesn't record them.
When I play the wmv file, the cursor hovers over an invisible tooltip and the cursor moves down the invisible options in the invisible drop-down box.
VideoStudio :: Pro X5 - Screen Recording
May 14, 2012I have used Camtasia for screen recording for a long time, however I purchased two 24 inch wide screen monitors with a resolution of 1920x1080. Camtasia recording will not record a full screen at this size.......in fact, they recommend 1280x720! So, I updated my VSP from x4 to x5 due to it now having screen capture. VSPX5 will not record full screen 1920x1080 at all (already mentioned in a previous post and currently under reveiw with Corel). It seems the limit is 1676x943 and even then, part of the screen is chopped off if one has a wide screen. Resolution has to be reduced. This is a PITA!
In order to do my screen recordings I either have to reduce the resolution which I do not like to do as it distorts everything on my screen, or reduce the size of the page to record and fit it within a custom size. Not the best, but it's a workaround.
VideoStudio :: Audio Stutters After Recording
Sep 25, 2011A problem with recording narration has just started with my Pro X4. On playback the recording is not complete and the nearest description is that it is stuttering. I have tried recording several different phrases in different parts of the video and using two different mics but each time get this stuttering.

Oct 5, 2013I used the Screen recording feature to record a little tutorial that is about 4 minutes long. I was shocked, when I watched it afterward, to hear that the sound, although fine at the start, gradually becomes fainter, higher pitch, and overall totally unusable. I thought it was just a fluke but I tried it with 3 videos, and I always get the same problem. I used the settings by default, changing only the file name and location.
Is there more to set for the screen capture to work correctly?

Nov 15, 2013My version is VideoStudio X6. Since the update to Windows 8.1 I have been having this error message every time I tried to record the screen. The message shows "An error occurred on your audio device." and it can't record. The drives're up-to-date, I've checked on the devices they all work fine. I need to record system sounds, however I tried to switch to another device but the error kept appearing. I also wondered if there's an error why would the app not showing the detail of the error but just describe it as "an error" because it's so vague it can be anything.

Dec 8, 2013I make gaming Youtube videos, and recently bought a new computer and needed a new recording software. So I started looking into Video Studio. I am currently using the trial, but will really soon get the full version. So I was gonna record and noticed you can change what audio will be recorded. Cool! So I enabled both of them, but it doesn't work. If I enable System Audio, microphone audio will be disabled, and vice-versa.
Is there any way I can record my game AND my voice without recording the my voice afterwards (I wanna record it live)? I quickly tried to record two video at the same time, each recording having a different audio, but it just recorded one. I don't wanna have to buy $37 Fraps or some other "just-for-recording" software.

I am recording a series of video tutorials for the audio production software FL Studio. I have duplicated the problem in two version of FL Studio, FL Studio 8 & FL Studio 9. I start a screen capture and everything is recording fine. Part of my tutorial includes selecting a menu item in FL Studio. After my recording is finished I am noticing that the menu (dropdown) is not displayed in the screen capture. I can see the mousing clicking the menu items but the menu is not displaying. All other aspects of screen capture are working perfect.
I am using Corel Video Studio X5. No updates to the program have been made, the computer I am using it on was only connected to the internet during activation.

This works well in 4 out of 5 of my corridor drawings, however, 1 of the files does not display these lines in the cross-sections. I already checked turned-off layers and that's not it. When I check the individual Section View Properties, these alignments (& corresponding profiles) show up in the list, just not on the actual cross-section.

My section remains. We're experiencing a lot of problems of section lines and therefore sections disappearing even though we're not directly applying fix constraints, I was wandering if Inventor applies a fix constraint should geometry that a section line is constrained to disappears.

Mar 27, 2013I am trying to reduce the drawing file size. This is for uploading the drawings to AutoCAD WS. AutoCAD WS doesn't display or edit a drawing that is over 15MB. Unfortunately some of our drawings are over 15MB even after I have removed the background and others and have purged. I believe the reason why a drawing can be so big has to do with each object (grouped object) has a ton of information on it. For example, the properties of a typical object is like this:

You can see from above that the list of properties are huge. All I really need are the visible parts of the object. This means most of the info above are junk.I try to reduce the size of object by exploding all the objects on the drawing. This sort of work in the sense that the file size of a test drawing is reduced from something like 8MB down to 6MB. But I am expecting far more reduction than this. The reason why I expect far more reduction is that the total number of lines of the exploded items of the same object mentioned above is reduced from 3000+ lines to only 300 lines as shown below:

Therefore, I am expecting a 10-to-1 reduction, not just a 1/4 reduction.I am wondering there may be hidden data on the drawing that are left behind after I have exploded the objects. if there is a way to get rid of the hidden data?

May 21, 2013I'm trying to use adobe illustrator to color the background of a photograph green while keeping the person in the picture the same color.
I used live trace to get a vector image and then attemped to use live pain to finish the job, but I end up with thousands of blue lines and gaps that are too small to color in. Is there anyway i can reduce the number of gaps so that i can actually paint the background?
I've already tried the gap options and adjusting the settings to small medium or large did nothing.If this isn't possible, is there any other feature in adobe illustrator that would allow me to achieve my goal?
I have a photograph with a person in the middle; i want the person to remain the same and the background to be changed to green.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Cut And Fill Slope Lines Won't Show Up In Cross-sections?
May 1, 2012I have created a road for a pit mine (which is unlike roads I have designed in the past). The road switched back towards itself and I need to daylight the cut slopes to show the limits of the mine/road cut. However, my cut/fill lines are not showing up in my cross-sections, but the plan view is showing the limits of excavation.
I assume this is because my limits are intersecting, from each of the roads, the upper and the lower. How can I get around this, or why are my cross-section lines not showing?

Aug 14, 2013I make family videos that have photos and video clips in the order taken. I then add a background music to the music track. I have always been able to lower background music inserted in the music track over the video clips, and then bringing the level back up after the video clip is over. With VS X6, this is not working any more. One hears the level of the music lower and the level comes back up but not at the places that I have done them. Most of the time I use the Smart Music, but I have seen this problem with other music.

Dec 25, 2011I have videos from my camera at 1440x1080, and after I edit them on Videostudio x4, when I save them (using MPEG4HD or AVCHD for example), the resulting file size is larger than the original. So I decided to use an encoder such as Xvid for reducing the file size. I choose avi as the output format and then in the options I set the resolution to 1440x1080 (not listed in the standard combobox, btw) and choose Xvid as the encoder (also tried ffdshow). But the resulting video is a smaller picture with a big black border instead.
