Some of the Instant Projects in VideoStudio 6 might be useful if one could remove the "VideoSudio" text from them and maybe even add new text. Is there a way to do that? If not, what are they for?
View 5 RepliesI had videostudio 4x which was upgraded from 2x on a laptop computer. I recently got a new desktop and loaded the X4 on that. The laptop has many files listed to choose from when I go to the instant projects. They are listed under the drop-down menus "beginning", "middle", "end", "complete", etc. There are probably 20-40 choices for each drop-down choice.
On my new install, there is only 1 choice on each. I did not purchase any add on templates. How do I get the others back? Is there a way to transfer them from the laptop?I tried loading some templates from the help button/do more tab and downloaded and installed the templates there, but got only some very simple templates that went under the "custom" drop-down menu.
Was there some free template pack that I downloaded or got on the original X2 disk, or X4 downloaded program that I did not install to the new computer or that I downloaded after installing the X4?
We have been asked many times if it is possible to combine two projects and still retain the editing functions, That both projects open in the same timeline showing all clips and the edits that have been applied, allowing for further editing of the full project.
We have always assumed this is not possible and suggest rendering the project to a video file, to be added to the second project. Otherwise use Nesting, adding the VSP to the timeline, something I do not recommend anyway.
Video Studio uses Instant Projects and these do open in an existing project and display individual clips.So why cant we create our own Instant Project” of a project and simply add that to another project. Well we can.I have just tried and was successful, there was a but of a delay in reading the clips with Video Studio doing a Not Responding act, It was quite a long project, a bit of patience and things loaded ok.
Using File – Export as Template an Instant Project Template will be created having the default location within the Custom library.Once created can be added to any project.
I just installed CS6, and I'm having serious problems w/ a few things. Mainly this issue:
As you can see, every time I create an object, a stroke is added to it. And you can also see on the layers path, a small little box is also added. Here's the weird part, when I try and change the images color, I get a popup saying that this object needs to be "rasterized" before changing the color. Then when the color changes, it changes the shape object to what i need it to be.
I recently installed Corel Paintshop PhotoPro X3. I find now that when I double-click a gif file (and I think some other types) it is opened with Corel Instant Viewer rather than Microsoft Office 2010. I want Office to be the default viewer, so from Windows Explorer I right-clicked the gif file, selected "Open with..." then "Select default program", then Microsoft Office 2010, and checked "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file", finally "OK". The file then opened with Office. However the next time I double-clicked the same file, it opened once more with Corel Instant Viewer.
The procedure I followed has worked in other cases, so I don't understand why it doesn't work now. Is there any way of preventing Corel Instant Viewer from being the default viewer short of uninstalling it?
lets say i have a picture. I want to add text to it so it fits right into the background rather than having an artificial white border around the text. How do i do that?
Also, how do i remove text without deleting parts of the background as well, and how do i enter text so that it matches the text that is used in the picture?
Lets say i have a picture with the word "TEST" in it, with a certain font, size, color, etc. I want to add additional text with the exact same font, size, etc.
I am using an instant template at the end of my video. I am trying to add photos to the placeholders. I tried control click and drop to the placeholder but that isn't working.

All of the placeholders except the first one are flat rectangular images which are easily replaceables, the first one that is a 3d Type of rectangle with a slant. How to replace it. How to adjust the image to fit into this 3d placeholder?
View 10 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to insert these projects to the timeline at any random spot, versue the defaults to place at the beginning or end? Seems so limited that you only have those options. If you edit forward and only add material to the timeline as you need it, then it is no big deal to insert to the end... but if you add all your material to the timeline at once and then decide "oh, lets use an instant project here" then it is difficult to place in the middle.
I've copied some of the images in the templates to my library so that I could mimic those effects ( copy same attibutes to a clip) at anytime I want... just seems like there must be an easier way.

This has spread to several files now because of our work flow - open an old file, save with a new name. Attached is the dialog that is displayed when the files are opened in the editor. I would like to "extract" the embedded macros in .NET. They do not need to be there and they interupt the batch processes. I know I could un-check the "Always ask before opening projects with macros" but I would rather extract / remove them.

1. The intro is fine.....very smooth
2. However, when it gets to the video portion, the quality and "shuddering" of the vidoe is horrible.
How do you insert a title into an instant project place holder without the number in the placeholder background showing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have inserted instant project T04 in my VSX5 timeline and imported an image into the placeholder.I distorted the image to (what I thought) fit the placeholder.When I play it back, the imported image is not a perfect fit in the place holder frame.I cant find a way to get back to the overlayed image so that I can fine tune the image to fit the placeholder.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEverything was working fine with my VS PRO X5 program until after I downloaded and installed the following "Instant Template" from within VS. I chose the one which has a surfboard in it's bmp on the page with all the other Instant Projects to choose from.
C:UsersNEWDocumentsCorel VideoStudio ProVSPTemplate 039_HD-Project. I think that download might be corrupted because that's the ONLY thing I've downloaded/installed to VS before this happened.
Immediately after installing that project, my computer would freeze immediately as soon as I either loaded it up, or clicked on any of the icons such as "Instant Template," etc. Even CTRL/ALT/DELETE fails to operate normally.
All my system files are up-to-date, no viruses/malware found, rebooted computer to flush memory, etc. before starting VS. The same problem happens each time, and ONLY with Video Studio. Sometimes, if I wait 5 minutes or so while the hourglass is spinning and the top bar says "Video Studio is Not Responding," suddenly, it will then begin working. But, it works only until I click on the Instant Template choice again.
Question: How do I uninstall or else get rid of the VS additional downloaded files, SAFELY, without losing any of my previous creations and files, or VS default templates, etc.? Will I have to uninstall VS completely and reinstall it? If so, what is the correct procedure recommended to do that. I can no longer use my program.
---first, I am NOT referring to the "extra" templates, etc. you download after the program is installed... (the vpt files) -- I understand how to install these & already have them installed properly
---I have a VS X4 DVD... the program from this DVD is installed on my desktop... I also just installed it on my on my laptop since I will need to work on my projects on the laptop for awhile
---When I opened the program on the laptop, I discovered many Instant Project templates there I don't have on my desktop [in the "beginning", "middle", "end" categories... After quite a bit of comparing & searching, I believe these were never installed on my desktop for some reason! [I found the file names on the laptop, but they are nowhere to be found on my desktop]
---I tried opening the program DVD to install them from there, but it's not obvious to me where they are...
These Instant Project templates would really be useful to me --
1) why did they install on the laptop but not on the desktop
2) how can I get them installed on my desktop WITHOUT uninstalling and re-installing the program? Is there an "easy solution?" I don't want to risk losing all of the other extras I already downloaded, etc. & needing to start all over!
One file which is part of one of the templates is called "HM_Multioverlay track 01_Start.wmv" ----- On my laptop, it resides in the C:Program Files (x86) CorelCorel Video Studio Pro X4en-USEditing StyleStyleBeginningNTSC26_HM_MultiOverlay track01.wvs [this can't be found on my desktop]
I have downloaded few instant project templates Yet when I go to the Instant project window I do not see the import Icon . I only see the orange Icon(get more content). Is there something wrong with the installation of my VSPro x3.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using one of the premade text effect that fades-in two lines of text. I want this fadein to (1) last 3 seconds but the title, once fully into view, to (2) remain on the screen for 10 seconds. I just can't figure out this second part.
I can duplicate the original title so the two lines are positioned correctly after the effect ends but then the effect starts over again. I can't get the two lines in the exact same places by recreating them. And if I take a screen shot of the final frame, again, I can't get it positioned so the lines of text are in the exact correct place.
I have created two projects, it now seems sensible due to subject to add these two edited projects together to form one project and burn to DVD.

Every new project is also split and I cannot insert music. It stops playing after 4 minutes. I have found the explanations about splitting the clip, but nothing about the splitting the whole project. How can I make my new projects "entire" and insert the full-lenght audio?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've observed that VS X5 usually keeps at least 4 levels of last-used project files - some of the time. But I notice that from one day to the next, that last used list can disappear, irregularly.
In another piece of software (unrelated) I use, a scan history log gets kept in a temp file, which lasts only until the next time a cleaner like Cclean goes looking for all those .tmp files and similar, to clean up all the leftovers on a machine that clutter up its HDD space and slag its performance.
Does VS X5 do something similar for the last used project files?
If vendors have to ape MS in this sort of user friendly facility, they can at least put the data in a space that's unique to the application. I've never noticed that MS was guilty of losing the last files used details - pity the copiers cannot do the same.
For example, I have project A and project B, they represent two videos. I want to combine the two projects and export into one video.
I have tried exporting two videos from the two projects independently, and import the two videos into a new blank project and export again, but the quality is not very good.
Situation: I have three interviews, edited in each their project file in X5. Now I need to combine them in one project, from where I will add news stuff and edit existing stuff.
How do I merge the files into one project file which is still fully editable - for every element in the whole timeline?
Sure I can create a new project file and import the .VPS-files, but the three interviews will then show us as non-editable blocks.
I am using VideoStudio 10, and want to combine four separate 12-minute projects into one 48-minute program without losing a generation. Possible?
