VideoStudio :: Combine 2 Or More Projects Together On Timeline?

View 2 RepliesI have created two projects, it now seems sensible due to subject to add these two edited projects together to form one project and burn to DVD.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHow can I combine two projects in Video-Studio X4?
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor example, I have project A and project B, they represent two videos. I want to combine the two projects and export into one video.
I have tried exporting two videos from the two projects independently, and import the two videos into a new blank project and export again, but the quality is not very good.
I am using inventor 2012 but i am not using Vault, I try to understand how to combine or merge many projects together. I got a retraction system that is one project with his own content center, then i got a hood that is another project with his own content center.
Since im going to create many different retraction system and many different hood in the future, to be used in many different combinations. I want to be able to create a master project that includes smaller projects so i can still work all the projects independently.
I have downloaded different templates from web and edited them according my wish and now i want to create final movie by combining all the clips. Some clips/projects are with different resolution, i have rendered all projects separately and created individual .mov clips. Now i want to create final movie by combining all the clips. I am working with adobe after effects cs6.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI wanted to split a clip, but I've split a project (after 4 minutes). Now, when I want to insert an audio file, it stops playing after 4 minutes although it's much longer. Every new project is also split and I cannot insert music. It stops playing after 4 minutes. I have found the explanations about splitting the clip, but nothing about the splitting the whole project. How can I make my new projects "entire" and insert the full-lenght audio?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a way of assembling several projects on the same time line in order to create a compilation video then re editing them to create a new project. The only way I can fiqure is to make a video file of each project and then edit together. not a very flexable way of working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've observed that VS X5 usually keeps at least 4 levels of last-used project files - some of the time. But I notice that from one day to the next, that last used list can disappear, irregularly.
In another piece of software (unrelated) I use, a scan history log gets kept in a temp file, which lasts only until the next time a cleaner like Cclean goes looking for all those .tmp files and similar, to clean up all the leftovers on a machine that clutter up its HDD space and slag its performance.
Does VS X5 do something similar for the last used project files?
If vendors have to ape MS in this sort of user friendly facility, they can at least put the data in a space that's unique to the application. I've never noticed that MS was guilty of losing the last files used details - pity the copiers cannot do the same.
Situation: I have three interviews, edited in each their project file in X5. Now I need to combine them in one project, from where I will add news stuff and edit existing stuff.
How do I merge the files into one project file which is still fully editable - for every element in the whole timeline?
Sure I can create a new project file and import the .VPS-files, but the three interviews will then show us as non-editable blocks.
I am using VideoStudio 10, and want to combine four separate 12-minute projects into one 48-minute program without losing a generation. Possible?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have been working with Corel VideoStudio X2, X3 and X4 from a long time now. At this moment I have to questions:
- where to find more templates (eg direct projects) other than the free downloads and the ones on the new Corel share site
- how to move the templates from X3 to X4?
I have created two projects within Video Studio X3, which I want to put on one disc as separate programs, so they can be viewed individually (they are the same subject but covering different time spans) how do I achieve this ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI remember back in VS11 I had to ask the same question, but don't remember the answer. When you are on the final step and burn a VS disk it 'saves' it. Where do you find them so you don't have to go through the whole process again to setup a disk to burn?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am currently on a trial but will be purchasing a full version soon. I am getting a new computer and need to transfer over all my projects and related information to my new PC. How do I do this with the existing videos I have created?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen importing a HD project (not rendered footage) into another HD project in VSX2, the movement of objects in the rendered AVCHD is 'stuttered' - why ?This is NOT a transition or title stutter as per one of my previous posts - which was resolved by downloading the trial version of VSX3.
In VSX2 I have cut down my AVCHD source film into smaller, more manageable chapters - each a separate VSX2 project. When assembling these chapters, I chose the "import project" (ex chapter 2 into chapter 1) as I used to do with UMSP7.0 Once BD-RE is cooked, the first chapter looks fine but the subsequent chapters have very noticeable problems with movement - especially vehicles moving accross the screen - it looks like the frame rate has gone right down to 10fps (iso 25 for PAL).
Oddly enough (I would have thought it should be the opposite), if I render each chapter to AVCHD and then import the rendered chapters, image movement is much smoother (virtually same as original). The project properties are all the same in each project (PAL AVCHD 1920X1080 25fps); I have tried activating the 2-pass render and have tried switching on and off the anti-flicker but no improvement.
The "import project" feature that I used in UMSP7 is great because it allows you to create the chapters independently but then put some uninterrupted music over the links between chapters in the final project to ensure continuity if desired.

I'm going back to a project that has been dormant for almost a year. My project files are fine, but when I load them there are no thumbnails any more, just the default thumbnail library.
Are there library files associated with my project files I can search for and what kind of file is that?
im trying to edit video (local car racing) that I have recorded from my GOPRO's (hero 3 Black) @ 1080p 60fps,when I go picture in picture. now when I try to line them up so they are sync'd when I play back project the video becomes glitchy like its skipping frames.
I have had enabled 50/60p editing ive gone into project properties and tried both ntsc and pal in 60fps and @ 1920x1080p frame size. I noticed I couldn't change mpeg (pal). it was at 25fps.. and gopro records in Mpeg..
what can I do to retain the 60fps quality..
I'm developing a project that is made up of clips taken from several other projects. Right now I go to one of the source projects view and find the clips I want, write them down and their location and so forth through all the source projects. Then I go and try to build my new project using this info. As the project grows this starts to get confusing. If two projects could be opened at once it would work but that can't be done.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWe have been asked many times if it is possible to combine two projects and still retain the editing functions, That both projects open in the same timeline showing all clips and the edits that have been applied, allowing for further editing of the full project.
We have always assumed this is not possible and suggest rendering the project to a video file, to be added to the second project. Otherwise use Nesting, adding the VSP to the timeline, something I do not recommend anyway.
Video Studio uses Instant Projects and these do open in an existing project and display individual clips. So why cant we create our own Instant Project” of a project and simply add that to another project. Well we can.I have just tried and was successful, there was a but of a delay in reading the clips with Video Studio doing a Not Responding act, It was quite a long project, a bit of patience and things loaded ok.
Using File – Export as Template an Instant Project Template will be created having the default location within the Custom library.Once created can be added to any project.
I installed the download/trial version of X4. I decided to purchase but went through an education/academic seller since I work at a university and get better prices.
I thought I could just input the serial # of the disk I bought but obviously there is a difference in the 2-versions since it won't accept the "educational version" serial #.
So, I figure I need to uninstall the download/trial version and install the what I got on DVD.
I am concerned about loosing the info in the libraries. I made a spare copy of the projects, just in case the uninstall does something with them.
I had videostudio 4x which was upgraded from 2x on a laptop computer. I recently got a new desktop and loaded the X4 on that. The laptop has many files listed to choose from when I go to the instant projects. They are listed under the drop-down menus "beginning", "middle", "end", "complete", etc. There are probably 20-40 choices for each drop-down choice.
On my new install, there is only 1 choice on each. I did not purchase any add on templates. How do I get the others back? Is there a way to transfer them from the laptop?I tried loading some templates from the help button/do more tab and downloaded and installed the templates there, but got only some very simple templates that went under the "custom" drop-down menu.
Was there some free template pack that I downloaded or got on the original X2 disk, or X4 downloaded program that I did not install to the new computer or that I downloaded after installing the X4?
Some of the Instant Projects in VideoStudio 6 might be useful if one could remove the "VideoSudio" text from them and maybe even add new text. Is there a way to do that? If not, what are they for?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have several discrete projects which I have created in VideoStudio over time and would now like to combine some into a single project before editing.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have always rendered my projects to DVD (mpeg) video files and then used those to 'create disk' (ie create movie).
I also thought that to prevent 'create' disk' from rendering again that all the attributes (constant or variable, kbs, audio compression) used during rendering must be the same as when creating disk.
Is there any benefit from creating a movie (for burning) using either method? Is it faster overall 'creating disk' using project files than rendering first? The reason I ask is that today it seemed to take 'forever' to 'create disk' using pre-rendered files.
I realise that you always see the warning that 'this action will take some time to render' but I thought that if all the attributes were the same that no rendering was done.
I recently installed VideoStudio Pro X3. Whenever I play back anything I tried edit the program crashes and a dump file error shows. I have tried using the smart proxy without success. I am trying to edit HD files *.mov. The files are only a couple of minutes so that should not be an issue. I also tried closing all other programs. When I try and playback I can only see a couple of seconds before it crashes. I am wondering if my computer does not have the resources to edit HD. I have 1024 MB of Ram.
View 4 Replies View RelatedFrom several .vsp-projects to output/convert/encode/render single video files (Videodatei erstellen) in Batch with one film template (Filmvorlage)
DVD authoring was yesterday - today is streamed from the NAS to the TV. So I now render video projects (.vsp) in VideoStudio as individual files (Videodatei erstellen). With Full HD 50p projects which lasts a few minutes and I can not cut in this time. With several hundred clips from vacation it sucks.
Hence my request for a new batch function for the encoder of VideoStudio: Several .vsp-files to be issued in Batch with a self-defined film original/template (Filmvorlage).
I have three video files. Each has a different frames per second. Each has a different audio format. Each has different bit rates. One has upper field first, one has lower field first.
Im assuming that I cannot simply drop the three files into the time line and produce one output file (obviously with the lowest bit rate and fps).
Do I assume correct? and if so, how does one combine files with vastly different properties to produce one output file?
Just skip from Ulead Media Studio Pro 8 to full version of VS Pro X3. Of course my first question is: Is possible transfer my unfinished projects to VS? And how?
Second: After capture my DV tape from Panasonic 400 to Hard Drive (with default setup and 16:9) I discovered that every few seconds video is distorted as well as sound is distorted too. I am sure that original tape is OK.
I'm a new user to VS and need combining 2 mpg files into 1 large video.
I have 2 mpg files that I would like to merge together to create 1 large continuous video. The 2 mpg files are in a folder on my D drive.
Something I haven't met before and can't find in the manual. Not sure what I touched but a red bar has appeared on the timeline, running from the start of the project to the point where I was editing. Now it will only play the project from the start to this point and I can't add a title after this.
How can I clear this red bar?
