View 1 RepliesI have a floor plan with a very long footprint in a "View" drawn at a convenient scale.
The long building had to be broken to be put on several different "Sheets", and each of the floor plans on each of the sheet has a scale.
When I change the scale of the partial plan on one "Sheet", all the other sheets also change to the same scale and also the original view changes to the new scale.
Is there a way to assign the desired scale of the plan on one sheet without affecting the scale on the other sheets and on the original drawing view?
I created a wall detail in a scale of 3/4"=1' and when I change the scale to 3"=1' the hatching becomes smaller. I want the hatching to get larger without having to redraw it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn 2012, when I click on a viewport and try and to change the scale, in either quick properties or the properties window custom scale. AutoCAD only allows the standard scale settings, not a custom one. I think this is just a matter of some setting, but do not recall it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn AutoCAD, I can go on the tray menu and select the scale list and select custon scales. I get the entire list I created and able to make and delete scales.
When I do the exact same thing in AutoCAD Civil 3D, it freezes up and won't let me do anyting, I then hit esc and I can start working in the drawing again.
what is going on in AutoCAD Civil 3D?
I'm using mm, and i want to create a custom scale which is not in the list of my standard scale in the viewport properties. If i want 1/200 for example and this is not in the list how do i set the custom scale?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to create a custom stroke that doesn't scale to the length of the line you assign it to? I am trying to create a stroke that looks like a chain but when I create a custom brush, I have to almost create the brush pattern the same length as the stoke it gets applied to in order to avoid the chain links bunching up or being grossly stretched out along the assigned path.
Is there a setting or some other function that can accomplish this? Is there an easy way to assign a shape to along a path other than blend?
In the end I want to be able to assign a premade pattern to a line without that pattern being distorted or scaled along the path it is assigned to.
I have a problem that I cannot seem to solve. I have a drawings with a whole bunch of layout tabs that have a few viewports in each tab. One of these viewports on each layout tab is on the layer VIEWPORT. I did this so it would be easy to filter out the other viewports in the drawings. I am using the code below to change all of the viewports with the layer VIEWPORT to the Custom Scale 0.020833. This works for all of the layout tabs except the first tab. It will not for some odd reason work on the fist tab.
(setq vieportfilter (list (cons 0 "VIEWPORT")))
(setq ssetvp (ssget "x" vieportfilter))
(setq cntrp 0)
(while (< cntrp (sslength ssetvp))
[code]..........
When I print in revit - at scale - 100% Zoom, I check it with an architecture scale and its off. For example, 25' - 0" in the revit file measured with a scale on paper is 23 ' 10". etc... Is it a revit issue, or a printer driver issue?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI notice that a 3D view on a Sheet, when the view is "activated" and with the crops regions on, can be reshaped, but I do not see a way to make what is shown on the view a tad "larger" (i.e., bigger, like zooming in). (I have tried, but I might be missing something?)
I wonder if there is way to scale a 3D on the sheet, to make the "scale" of only one of the 3D's larger on this sheet (without affecting the scale of the other views on the Sheet). Is this possible?
My Site Plan Scale is greyed out, what could be causing this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedQuestion #1: To my Sections Sheet, I am adding a Key Plan of each floor to show where the sections are cut. I duplicated a plan of each floor and renamed it "Floor # - Key Plan", and added the view to the Sections Sheet at a small scale, and now I am using a 1" = 80'-" scale for these key plans. I am able to hide all the unwanted annotations elements, but I notice that some like the "UP" and "DN" of stairs, which are very large, do not go away without erasing the stairs also.
How can I leave the stairs at this small scale but without the associated annotation?
(I also notice that this happens with elements like Washer (W), the Water Heater (WH), etc).
Question # 2. Related question: Do Revit has a "Key Plan" creation fuction to automate this work?
Any luck in creating a graphic bar scale to place on your sheets or in your drawings.
View 6 Replies View RelatedToday I adjusted our title block. Scale is automated by the scale view of the views placed. It becomes 'as indicated' is multiple scale are used. No problem, that part I can live with (/ workaround).
Sadly the scale doesn't appear on a sheet list schedule. Which surprises me . With revit 2012 I was wondering: I am wrong? If not: do you have a nice workaround which doesn't mean I have to manually input it.
When i import a pointcloud into revit the scale is not right. Is there a way to fix this

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a view title where I want to show Full scale and half scale on the same view title. Please see attached .rfa file.
Is there a way to have a label return a half size automatically in an effort to have only one view title. Otherwise our current work around is to make each view title for each scale and create a viewport for each scale in our template. I have heard that the labels are hardcoded and cannot be changed.
Are there any neat tricks to scaling a DWG inside a block with parameters? I would assign a scale factor parameter to Instance Scale but as I can't I'm looking for a workaround.

I am using the student version of Revit and have desparately been trying to create a document that would print to scale. I use PDF creator to convert Revit to pdf, but it always comes messed up by an inch or so...insted of 4.6, it prints 4.75 (or the other way around). I tried formating my title block in many different ways, including deleting the outer lines. Nothing works. There is no Arch D format in the family of titleblocks. I am a complete beginner, just started using Revit a couple months ago, with no knowledge of CAD or anything similar. When I look at the PDF creator page of my doc, it shows that the doc has been properly sized, but when the print place prints it out, it is off by 1" or so.
How do I format my sheet so it prints to scale in format 24" X36"?
It is the way we scale 1 / 100 the size of our ِDimension, the scale to 1 / 500 to change the size of the enterprise to automatically change the scale.
This method is applicable in AutoCAD, but I could not find the software.
Can you print a model file to scale without setting up a view with a scale? Like in Autocad, you could print the model space to a certain scale within the page setup manager. Does revit have anything like that? Or do I have to set up a sheet view prior to printing anything?
running revit architecture 2011.
I just recently noticed that when I print documents from Revit Architecture, they are printing smaller than the scale size they are set to. I verified with a couple of different scale settings against a good old fashioned scale ruler. It seems to be consistently incorrect.

The issue is that my boss wants to secure our data set so the other company cannot "steal" the user families and 3d geometry created by us. Is it really that simple? Are there any "back doors" I need to worry about?
