View 1 RepliesI'm trying to create a threshold image using only two colors of the explosion of the atomic bomb, can anyone tell me how to it. I know it's pretty easy,
View 2 Replies View Relatedafter 13.02, the 'threshold' cannot be executed in the actions.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been using too much threshold, black and white simple stuff. I was wondering if there was anything similar to it but different style?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using the threshold tool to create a stencil. I first used the Quick Selection tool to cut out the objects I wanted and then tried to use the Threshold tool to create a black and White Only image.
However, for some reason, especially on the edges of the objects, the threshold tool left some grey marks, instead of black and white.
I tried using the threshold tool again, but not all of the grey marks were removed
What's the difference between the Threshold slider in the USM filter and the Reduce Noise slider in the new Smart Sharpen filter?
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhy has the CS6 update last week replaced the threshold adjustment with levels?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to use the Threshold Alpha command on a Layer of Solid Noise, but nothing happens. If I set the threshold to 255 everything goes transparent, anything below that the clouds are supremely unimpressed. It's an RGB image, has an alpha channel, no Alpha channel lock, the Threshold tool works fine. I also tried creating another test picture with several gradient in greys and colors, and they are equally unaffected by Threshold Alpha.
I'm using GIMP 2.6.11 on WinXP SP3.
i tried restarting gimp but it did not fix my problem. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, my fuzzy select tool selects WAY too much even at a threshold of 1. at 2 it just selects the whole picture.Re-installing did not fix.
i am creating black/white based icons. So it is a 48x48 image. i am mainly trying to fuzzy select black, white, and transparent selections. As you can guess, it has become impossible now and i don't know what i did.
EDIT: Okay so it actually isn't selecting "too much" per-say. i willt ry and explain the best i can here:
Black and white image with the exception of some shades inbetween.Select fuzzy select and put threshhold at 1. Click. Selects all the white (i actually think it misses some). i hit SHIFT and click on a pixel that is slightly not white. VERY SLIGHTLY. In fact, it may actually be white. It fuzzy selects EVERYTHING.
Another example on an image that is Black and Transparent (with shades inbetween) Slect black on threshold 1. It selects All the black AND all the shades inbetween. Eveything except flat out transparent. i hit CTRL and select a shad einbetween and it deselects everything.
EDIT 2: Doesnt matter the threshold apparently. It will do this on any.
EDIT 3: The solution, after all, was so save these problematic images as JPG and then open them as the JPG.
I would like to obtain a black and white image of a photograph of a book page.
My attempt to do this is by running the threshold function over theentire image. This appears to give the desired result, but onlylocally. It appears that the optimum parameters of the thresholdfunction vary by position (i.e., according to some scalar field), withone extreme in the center of the glare and then radiating outward. Sojust running the threshold function over the entire image withconstant parameters always gives sub-optimum contrast for 75% of theimage. Will I have to find a way to run the threshold function withnon-constant parameters, or is there some other tool to do the job?
I scanned some images to Tiff format and when I bring them into Gimp I can't seem to get the threshold effect to work. The other color effects work but not threshhold. I check with other Tiff images I have and they work but not for this new set (done on a different scanner).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently writing a series of routines for setting the layers for text, leaders and dimension commands. The end goal is a system where any annotation command sets the correct layer for the duration of the command, then reverts back to the layer that was active before the command.
I have managed to complete all the code, and it appears to be working fine, I just have one question: I have used -layer "m" "Lay_name" etc... for all layer setting commands, rather than any code to see if the layer exists already. In my limited testing this seems to be suitable, nothing that exists on that layer seems to be affected.
I know how to write code to determine if the layer exists already and set the layer instead, but so far it seems unnecessary??

View 9 Replies View RelatedI press CTRL+9 to make the Command Line disappear while drawing. When I plot (or when doing a plot preview) , the Command Line appears again by itself. So I always have to turn the Command Line off manually after each plot
The bug still happens;
- if Dynamic Input is turned off or on
- if I plot to a real device or in PDF
- if the Cammand Line Palette i docked or floating.
This is not an issue in AutoCAD 2012 so I guess it has to do with the new way they programmed the revamped Command Line palette in 2013.

I need to save a drawing file and give it the name of my desire using a single command, I don't want to issue "saveas" and then specify the name in the file name prompt. This problem is has been faced when I was using ScriptPro and I couldn't succeeded to do that. Hence I need to know if it is feasible to do the stuff using a single command. It will be preferred if I can choose the location to save the file also rather than save the file to the default location.

This happen outside the potential malware infection?
if you care to not click-through, the problem is that certain commands (not all of them) simply do not disply in the command line. so the MOVE command for example looks like this:
NORMAL:
Command: _move
Select objects:
NOW:
Command:
Select objects:
same with QSAVE and who knows how many others.
line command is a multiple command. there is a way to execute it like a single command?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAlthough a long time PS veteran, (currently CS5), for some reason I just never really got into the actions. Well a few days ago I learned a technique for making pencil drawings from photos and I surprised that I actually liked the results. Since a client wanted me to do this to many images, I thought it would be foolish not to create an action for it so I did so but every time I try to run the action, about half way through, I get the following message.....The command "Invert" is not currently available.
1. Check color mode of image
2. Make sure "add mask by default is checked in the adjustment layers settings
3. Make sure "add default masks on fill layer is checked in the layers panel options
could someone explain how to create a command key for an action?
I have created custom actions and would like to assign them to different keys such as F11...
When I try to use the Place command it doesn't place the jpg at the center of the document. This is a problem because I'm using Place in many actions that I've created and if the jpg doesn't start at center of the document, then the translation is off.
Details: The document template I am using is 1960x3010. previously in CS3 when I placed a jpg or w/e it always put it at the center of the document (980,1505). Now in CS4 I goto use my actions and the Place command and it's always slightly off. The Place command is putting things at 983,1505.5 and such, which screws up the final placement of the images. SO what can I do?? Oh and I have tried this on OSX and Windows machines, bother with same wrong result. I have roughly 100 actions that use Place and would rather not have to go through and try and fix every single one manually when they worked perfect in CS3.
I'm using PS 7.0 and I'm pretty new to it. I'm having trouble exiting some commands when I am in the middle of them and decide not to use it. The Esc key works on some commands, right-clicking and then 'deselecting' works on some commands.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am running CS3 and for some reason, I get this error on many of the filter options. To reproduce: - load any picture - it does not matter what format I use- create a new layer by selecting the new layer icon at the bottom of the layers pallet-
with the new layer selected, going to the menu item filter/blur/Gaussian Blur I have reset the preferences by pressing ctrl/alt/shift while bringing up Photoshop. I also have reinstalled (repaired) Photoshop. I've tried many different pictures with several formats (raw, .psd, .jpg) with no luck. Interestingly enough, the filter Lens Blur does come up with the screen.

What I tried to do was simply convert RAW files (CR2) to JPEGs. I built an action and invoked it via the batch command. The batch command worked but I got an error message for each of the XMP side-car files which happen to be in the same "source" folder. (I also got an error message for the "bridgesort" file that the Bridge placed in the source folder.) Of course, I could delete the XMPs but that would undo the edits to the raw files.
My action simply opens the raw file and then does a "save as" to JPEG. The raw files need to retain the editing that is contained in the XMP side car.
The only alternative that I know of is to bring the raw files into photoshop manually and then perform the action manually. This would work (i.e., I would end up with a raw file converted to a JPEG file) but there are 600 images and it would take me a VERY long time to do them one at a time.
Is there a way to do this via the batch command or some other automated command?
I recently installed photoshop CS2 on a new computer and the default keyboard command for the arrows to move anything 1 pix at a time is not functioning, I can not find where in the keyboard command editor is the tab for manually inputing the arrows for pix movement.
