When I open a file or create e new file in CS5.1, it fills the screen. In CS3, at the bottom of the tool bar, is a tool "screen mode" that lets me open a file that doesn't fill the screen so that I can put two or more small files (images) on a new blank file. I have not been able to do that in CS5. I do not know how to show two (or more) files at one time in CS5.1.

I'm scanning slides with the intention of showing them in HD. So I need to crop the 3:2 slide format to 16:9. Is there any way to view a selection full-screen other than an Action? At the moment I make the 16:9 selection, crop, jump to full-screen mode, remove the selection rectangle, and CMD-0 to fill the screen.

I have recently upgraded from CS3 to CS4 and have a slight problem with standard screen mode.
When I open an image in standard screen mode the image does not fill the screen and the amount of screen the image fills depends on the percentage magnification.
I have to drag the image with the cursor to fill the screen.
When I open a new image the same thing happens, it reverts back to partially filling the screen.
This only occurs in standard screen mode, the other two modes seem to be ok.

You can see that in the 'Create nebula' part I have to "Set the layer to screen mode, opacity 100".

I'm now suddenly unable to use Full Screen Mode.I have a PC, and always would use the 'F' key to toggle between screen modes. But when I do this now, the screen just wobbles then stays in the standard screen mode. Even if I go to View --> Screenmode --> Full Screen Mode, the same thing happens.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI usually use photoshop (cs6) in full screen mode with menu bar. Often I use the window+d shortcut to return to the desktop. From here, whatever window I open, ie my browser, explorer, etc, photoshop pops up in the background minus all the menu bars. This is very annoying because it means I cannot work with files on my desktop.

I can get to other processes via the Start button but once up, they stay up unless I load something else on top of them. Left to itself, it can stay like this for several hours. It has got worse over time and the function has become unusable.I am using Photoshop CS5 64 bit. The computer runs Windows 7 64 bit SP1.

In school, I can work in full screen mode and pan the image out from under the palettes. I can't do this on my home PC. Is there a way to make this work or is it a Mac or PScs feature?

trying to mask a certain area of a face with another picture, so I use the quick mask tool to paint in the area, but when I exit it and enter standard mode, there is nothing selected. It does however act as if there is a selection, because the other layer only is added to that section.
Also, I don't know if this is related to the other problem, but when I move another image into the original one to create two layers, then select the overlay blending option, I am happy with how it looks. However, after adding the layer mask, the other layer is really pale around the masked area.
Been using CS6 PS since Beta. No problems till 13.1.1 came out. I'm in Full Screen Mode 95% of the time and 100% when I'm retouching.After the most recent update OpenGL funtions will become disabled when I go to Full Screen Mode. This is very annoying! My MBP is connected to a 30in Dell Ultra.

In CS6, full screen mode, the image keeps moving up, down or to the side if my cursor gets too close to the edge of the screen. sometimes I'm not even at the edge of the screen but in the middle of the screen, I move the cursor right, the document goes to the left. In the old days the window stayed put unless you used the handtool to move it around. Is it possible to go back to this mode?

Until now I have ignored this but I really want to start making the most of my screen space. I don't understand how people can go into full screen mode without tabs of their open documents. It makes the experience completely useless to me and I can't believe I can't find any solutions online. I feel like I am overlooking a simple button somewhere on the screen thinking "surely Adobe would include this!?"
I am currently on 13 inch MacBook Pro using CS6 beta.
I have Windows 8, and Photoshop CS6. All of my blending modes work, except for Screen. I don't know why it doesn't, but I do use it somewhat frequently, and it's really holding me back at this point.

The background used to be gray, and then one time i opened up Photoshop and now the background is blue. It is very annoying and affects my painting. The grey was neutral, now it is blue so my colors are going to appear off.
If you don't know what i mean: Open Photoshop, make a canvas (new image) Hit the key "F" on your keyboard 2 times so the canvas takes up the entire page but the menu bars are still up. The color around the canvas is Blue, when it has ALWAYS been gray.
I use Photshop Elements 11. When I save a file in Editor mode after amending the photo, the screen freezes and I have to reboot the software.
View 2 Replies View Related don't know if it's a mac/pc problem or if it's a CS6 problem. I have been working with photoshop on PC for the past 9 years or so. I recently had to switch to CS6 on Mac.
I can no longer place my cursor in the blend modes field and use arrow keys to quickly toggle through them to find the ideal mode. I used to be able to preview 15 blend modes in just 5-6 seconds and land on the ideal mode... and get on with my project. NOW i have to click this button and click again on each blend mode... lengthening my process by up to 2 minutes. This is an ENORMOUS problem for me as choosing blend modes is critical in my day to day design work.
See the menu right next to it where you can type in the opacity? I can put my cursor in there and use arrow keys to adjust values. Blend mode NEEDS to work this way too. And this is on a mac. You simply HAVE to do something here. productivity impacted severely.
Also.. this problem exists in After Effects CS5 on pc. Let's get it fixed there too. I will hand-write you a letter of praise and send flowers if you can do this.
In PS CS6 standard screen mode my interface is off the bottom of the page. So I don't see doc Size, zoom % etc. How do I scale it back? I can't grab the bottom corner to scale it up or anything. Because its off the bottom of the page.

Why doesn't the image fully fit in the available screen area automatically, when first opening? View 1 Replies View RelatedEach time I open a new image in ACR and then open image the editing screen reverts to QUICK mode and a smaller screen size. I then have to click to change it to EXPERT mode and then click to make it full screen. I never had this problem with PSE 10.
(I am bringing RAW images in from outside and not via Organiser.)
Is there a way to set these defaults?
I go into component mode to select something, say vertices, the object then displays with the "sunrise" spread of red to orange to yellow and all the vertices are highlighted yellow dots. But I can't select anything. Not in face, or edges or vertices. I've tried resetting my preferences and restarting Maya and restarting my computer and restoring the Maya file(s) from my daily backups but nothing changes this. I even uninstalled & reinstalled Maya but still.
