Photoshop :: Mixing A Spot Colour In A CMYK Image

Aug 21, 2009

We would like to experiment mixing a spot colour in a normal CMYK image in order to expand the colour palette. Our problem is the fact that we cannot get Photoshop to show us the actual image once we have added the spot colour.

The spot channel shows as if it is being printed on top of the CMYK colours instead of being mixed with them. This makes it very difficult to judge what adjustments have to be made to the image. Of course, saving the file as a DCS2 and placing it in InDesign shows us what we want, but this is too much jumping back and forth between programmes to be efficient. We are runnnig CS3 on Windows XP Professional.

Photoshop :: Mixing Colours In CS5

Mar 27, 2012

I've tried looking this up but just get the mixer brush on every hit or. What I want to do is to take two colours, use the colour picker and mix the two colours to make a third.

I know I can arbitrarily change the opacity or by steps with the number keys but I don't to do it this way. I don't want to use a blur too or a filter. This is mixing colours basics. The mixer brush looks like it mimcs painting in one respect but its also creating muddy values.

Photoshop :: Color Mixing

II want to ask information how to mix 2 different color to make one color.

For example like mixing two paints, yellow and blue, whether you put yellow first or blue first, the results is the same green. You put white and black, the result is gray.

But from what I try in Photoshop, mixing yellow and blue in different layers, produce different green, depends on which is latter.

Photoshop :: Using Photomerge Without Mixing Colors?

Dec 21, 2005

I would like to use photomerge to blend two pictures together. The only thing is, when I put them together, the colours mix, which I do not want to do. Basically, there is a red image and a blue image that I would like to join together, where in between them, there is a gradual change of colour. Is there a way of doing this?

I am pretty sure that I am using the wrong method of doing it, and that there is an easier way of doing it. could someone please enlighten me on this?

Photoshop :: Cd Covers By Mixing Images From Different Photos

I want to create cd covers by mixing images from different photos. Collage if you will.

I found a tutorial that describes the selection process and so forth. I also read something about how Image Ready makes it easier to cut up pictures for rearranging. How so?

Also I wonder if I can use photoshop to make images appear "ghostly". Like the ghosts in the Haunted House film. Or the librarian ghost in Ghostbusters.

Photoshop :: Mixing Pantone Colors - Just Like CMYK Channels?

Oct 31, 2013

What I'd like to do [in photoshop] is treat 4 pantone colors just like CMYK channels. What I mean by that is that I would like to replace Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black with my own colors [pantone colors] and have them mix and act exactly like those channels. As in, when I open a full color image, and my pantone [or any color] channels or color profile is active, the full color image will react to those colors [with the blending of the colors].

Instead of 45% Cyan, 55% Magenta, 83% Yellow, and 2% Black in a given spot, it would be a mix of the 4 chosen colors [example: 45% pantone A, 55% Pantone B, 83% Pantone C, 2% Pantone D].

or to put it another way, if I were to color the background in, say, a blue, I would be able to use the "Info" panel to see how much of each pantone color was mixed to create that color. Obviously there would be a limit to the colors I could create based on the pantone colors I select.

I don't want to do anything printing wise with this technique. I am looking at it solely as an on screen viewer or perhaps use it in some manner for screen printing.

Photoshop :: Mixing Colour And Black And White In A Picture

Aug 17, 2008

would like to use it to start making my pics stand out more. My first experiment is to make a colour pic into black and white, THEN bring back the original colours in certain parts of the pic. ie i have a pic of an old steam train, and i want to leave the surroundings in colour, but turn the steam train in the picture to black and white. I have been advised on less photoshop specific forums, to turn the whole pic to B&W, then use the history brush to bring back the colour to the parts of the pic i want to be in colour.

VideoStudio :: X4 - Mixing Tracks From 2 Camera Files?

Mar 27, 2013

I have video files of the same performance from two cameras, and want to cut and match between the two. In the past what I've done is lay the firstone on the main timeline and then cropped where necessary to allow cutting to the overlays in tracks 2 and/or 3 as needed. This however proves to be rather time consuming and occasionally I get timing issues.

is there a facility in VS X4 to lay both tracks side by side (losing the audio from one of them) and then block out sections as required by (eg) making the overlay transparent, and thus keep the timing the same all through a piece...?

VideoStudio :: Mixing Type 2 DV With Other File Formats

Jun 27, 2011

I had a time where I shot some home videos on my old Sony DV camera (type2 DV 29.97fps) and also some on my other digital cameras of various models which recorded in mjpeg (20fps), h.263(30fps), mpeg4sp (29.97fps), and even a few .asp. I want to combine all these in chronological order on DVD. But I worried about which format to choose when rendering such a mixture, since I've heard that type 2 DV should be lower filed first. Will that mess up the way the other files are rendered? I was wondering if i should render the DV out to DVD compliant mpeg2 first and then add in the others in another project.

Is it possible to link / reference data from other drawings via labels? For instance, if I have a pipe network from a utility file and reference to a grading file. Could I add labels in that grading file that are from the utility drawing?

I want the pipe diameter minus the surface and maybe list an area of a parcel in one label? So I guess if you can take parts of the Civil 3D objects and tie that back to a general label type.

Illustrator :: Mixing Pantone Black C With Opaque White

Jan 21, 2013

I have a question relating to the Pantone standard color that I will obtain if I mix the following paints together:

1. 9.5 oz of Pantone Black C
2. 15.875 oz of Opaque White ( I know there is no pantone standard for white)

I will need to specify that derived Pantone Color for a gloss vinyl paint that we would use to silkscreen and pad print information on ABS or PC injection molded plastic parts.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Errors From Mixing Data And External References

Aug 20, 2013

Here is the background.

A "MODEL" drawing exists that contains only the surface model.  The surface model is data referenced into a "LABEL" drawing that contains the surface style (contours), contour labels, and spot elevations.  This "LABEL" drawing is xref-ed into a "SHEET" drawing that contains the title block and some other xrefs containing the proposed layout, ex cond, etc..

When I open the "LABELS" drawing, the data reference works.  My problem is that when I open the "SHEET" drawing, the contour labels and spot elevations cannot find the referenced surface and just contain a string of 20 or so characters.

I already have a workaround.  If I open the "SHEET" drawing, then open the "LABELS" drawing and save it, I can reload the "LABELS" drawing within the "SHEET" drawing and the problem is solved.

HOWEVER, I have a bunch of sheets that I want to publish, and publish does not work when you have to open the file and re-reference everything.  Is there anyway to get this reference working correctly so that I do not have to open multiple drawings to get my data correct?

FYI, I have already tried resetting my data shortcuts project folder, validating data shortcuts, etc. in the "LABELS" and "SHEET" drawings.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Mixing Vector Graphics And Bitmaps

Mar 14, 2011

I often create graphics in CorelDRAW export it and inserting it into my MS Word documents and finally convert my documents to pdf. When it is vector graphics, exporting as EPS works fine: The increase in file size is small and lines are displayed perfect independant of how much you zoom in the final pdf document. When I handle bitmaps, I usually export as JPG (or PNG), which works well too. My problem arise when I have a mixed vector and bitmap image. I have imported a bitmap into CorelDRAW and created some lines on top of it. I want to export it as a whole. If I export as EPS, the final result is fine, but filesize has increased considerable. If I choose to export as jpg, the filesize is fine, but the lines are getting slightly blurry. Is there a way to get the best of both Worlds - resonable filesize and perfect lines? Maybe settings in some dialog??

How can I easily make the diaper a PMS color and add it to the grayscale baby and still maintain two colors (PMS + K)

Right now, I'm cheating and combining the PMS diaper onto the grayscale baby in Indesign..... but I really need to have this in Photoshop so I can add shadows to make it more convincing. I tried converting the grayscale to CMYK and deleting all channels but black, didn't work as it took away all the information from the image.
