View 1 RepliesHow do I copy a picture from a Word document and save it as an image file?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried to save a few pages as one PDF.But it was an epic fail. However, i must have cganged a vital setting, for now when i save PSD files to PDF, the image reduces massively in size, but the file size increases a lot. What have I done and how can i change it back?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't know how to explain it properly, but recently if I download a picture and open it in Photoshop is appears rough and edgy. For example, I just recently downloaded this.
However, when I attempt to open it using Photoshop is appears like this. (I couldn't open the screenie in Photoshop as the quality was reduced even further)
I just started using Photoshop recently, but when I first started using Photoshop it didn't do this. It happens, I now know, with any image. Even those that were never downloaded such as the screenie I provided have a drastic decrease.
I have many images of slides scanned at high res (4800 DPI, maximum pixels 5214x3592). Although I will be saving these as loss less TIFs, I also wish to make JPGs from them that I wish to be just less than 5 MB in file size. Aside from cropping, I know I can achieve such a reduction of JPG file size by a combination of saving to lower quality JPG compression or reducing image size. My question is, what is theoretically or practically better, achieving this mostly by reducing image total pixels or by reducing JPG compression quality.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I edit my photos in Lightroom (4.4 at the moment) they look great. I am looking for extreme sharpness and clarity and I am able to achieve that. Though, once its exported the image quality is reduced. Why? how to set my export settings to the max.

I'm trying to print a landscape image but the image is reduced when printed. I open a new A4 sized template and make my image but when it comes time to print the image is smaller on the page than A4. Is there an easy solution to this? I have messed around with orientation both in GIMP and my printer settings, I have used the printers' "fit to page" setting and tried everything I can think of.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI created a document in AICS6. I duplicated the document in AICS6 resulting in two identical documents, "A" and "B." I created six color swatches in document "A" and named them. I saved this file and drew six little squares and filled them with each of the six swatches. I saved the file. I copied the little squares from document "A" and pasted them into document "B," its clone. The names of the swatches did not transfer to document "B" nor did they appear in the swatch palette under any name.
They are nothing more than CMYK combinations in document "B." This is absurd, but not unexpected from such an horrible piece of software as AI. Is there some preference I need to invoke?

My old PC's motherboard shot craps so I bought a new one to replace it. I have the old hard drive from my previous PC. I had Best Buy move the pictures from my old hard drive onto the new PC. I reinstalled Photoshop on my new PC. When I accessed the picture files, the pictures do not have the any of the markers I placed on them (face recognition, events, etc.). How do I recover this information.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble importing a picture into the logo document I am working on. I am designing a logo for a roofing co. and following a logo tutorial on garysimon.net website on 'how to make an awesome logo' using photoshop cs2, but when I follow his steps for importing a picture into the logo document that I am working on, it will import it to a new document screen. From what I can tell by reading his tutorial, it should import it into the same document screen that I already have the company name on so I can create layers and work on the one screen.
View 3 Replies View Relatedis it possible to drag and drop processing options (in German: Entwicklungseinstellungen) from one picture to another? The usual way by right clicking on the picture and then selecting copy the justifications and then right clicking on another picture and pasting them is very slow.
It would be fantastic if I could just use the spray tool to quickly transfer the options from one picture to a group of others. But this is only possible with presets I first have to save. But many processing options I don't want to save as a preset, because they are not that important. I just want to have a possibility to quickly play around with the options.
Whenever I try to upload a picture to edit on photoshot it tells me "Could not complete your request because it's not valid Photoshop document". I don't understand what this means. Why can't I upload my picture? Am I clicking the wrong thing? I go under "File" in the upper left corner and scroll to "Open As... Alt+Shift+Ctrl+O" then it brings me to my photos I have saved on my computer, then I click on the photo I want to edit but the "Error" sign pops up. I'm using the 30 day trial so I dont have much time!

View 4 Replies View Relatedwhenever i open a document using the magic wand tool the picture in the document keeps flashing black - CS6
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe problem is that if one has defined a selected area in an image, using either selection by color or contiguous selection using the 'magic wand' facility, is possible to copy this selection to the Image Map facility of the image, so as to automatically define a set of coordinates as a polygon that can be used for link purposes? Perhaps there is some interim step that is required, or perhaps a special script is required?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI originally created an image in Illustrator and transfered it to Photoshop so i can change the hues. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have created a comic character on an image and it has a white background.
However when I scanned it the background is not evenly white so when I try to select the background and inverse selection it does not do a clean trace of my character.
Is there a feature in PS CS6 whereby I can trace the outline of my artwork on the page by defining the edges?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have spent considerable time trying to "save as" some of my high-res TIFFs into other folders as TIFFS, yet PS has insisted on reducing ppi's on these folders from original count of 600 - 1200 to 72 ppi...WHY?
I want to save the changes made in PS CS5 for Mac to another file as a TIFF, so why is PS insisting on reducing the ppi to 72?
I've heard that when making a photograph smaller in Photoshop the results are better if it's done in steps instead of all at once.
If this is true how much should it be reduced each time and should the change in pixels per inch be done before reducing the image
My camera saves at 300 ppi at 3872 pixels wide (sometimes they are cropped which makes them smaller) and for the web I need about 500 pixels wide at 72 ppi.
I use action macro to reduce 8x10s @ 300 dpi to 72 in a subfolder sent to clients by web for them to evaluate and choose preferred images. However, they get 2x3 images at the original dpi, so what they see on their monitor is too small to see differences. If uploaded to facebook etc. images look muddy. What am I doing wrong? Large files typically exceed Yahoo max. What can I do right?
View 16 Replies View RelatedWith same PSD file, I hid the layer visibilites and saved another copy, and I noticed that the file size was reduced dramatically.
View 20 Replies View RelatedI worked the whole day on the design for a new web. Some hours ago I saved the file and closed it. Now I re-open it - and I can't believe what I see! All the previously existing layers have gone, or better: they've been merged down to the "Background" layer! %0
Well, it's no bigger deal to re-do my work, it will have to sacrifice "only" another 1 or 2 hours for it. But I'm quite full of fear that this could happen again! But because I have no idea how this could have happened I don't know what to do better next time...
So does anybody of you have an idea, what could have happened...? I have whether changed the image mode on purpose nor edited the PSD file with another application! I only opened the file with OS X Preview, but this is (as the name implies) only an application for displaying stuff, not to modify it...
I have 3 separate external HDs I use, all with the same images backed-up for safe keeping. I’ve made adjustments in Lightroom 5 to approx 200 images scattered throughout the 7000 images on 1 external HD. Is there any way I can copy and paste these changes so they are consistent on the same images on the other 2 HDs? All images are displayed in Lightroom 5.
