Dec 13, 2006I can't use my "Rounded Rectangle Tool" correctly anymore. When I draw the shape it's just a square without the rounded corners. The radius is set on 1 pixel. The cursor also displays a really small circle on the bottom right with a square inside of it.

Sep 9, 2012I have been using the bucket tool in order to fill the background of some images, but after a while the color I selected resulted in a different shade. For example, black resulted in grey and so on. What can be the source of this? Have I accidentally selected something which does this?
Another problem I have is about creating rounded corners for an image. I used this tutorial

and it worked great the first few times, but than the area around the corners became white instead of being transparent. I followed the exact steps as in that tutorial but with no effect.
Example: it looks OK, but that's because of the white background of the page, move it to some place which is colored and the white areas appear. Also, is there another, easier way to create this rounded corners?

There should be a "Rounded rectangle tool" to create rounded boxes ... but it seamed its not loaded by default.If I click on the red marked position nothing happen. If I click on the blue icon I see only "Stamp Edge". How can I get the other tools mentioned in the help page (e.g. Rounded Rectangle)?

Jun 8, 2012CS5 Photoshop..I have just noticed that my rounded rectangle tool is not working properly. When I click and drag nothing is visible, when I release it floods my whole image with my selected color. I have tried all of the other tools and they work properly. I have tried restarting, compared settings with other tools, and checked for updates.
Also, I have what appears to be a common problem with my move tool. I click, drag, and drop only to have the selected image snap back to its original position. I have an intuos 5 connected, is this the culprit?

I've tried to just use the tool once the box is highlighted to adjust the position of one or more sides but it will only allow me to do this at the corners, once again resulting in a square even though it is a rectangle I want.

May 17, 2012Recently upgraded to Gimp 2.8 for the single window mode (which worksbrilliantly in Ubuntu, especially with the HUD).
But the Rectangle Select Tool has a new - but odd - behaviour. When I drawa selection, and then add to that selection, a new "square" is position atmy cursor. (See attached screenshot.) This didn't happen in 2.6 and is abit irritating because it disorientates me slightly, especially if I'mworking quickly.
Is there a way to turn that off (or revert it to the 2.6 way)?
