I am exporting all of my grahics via a png 8. A few graphics, especially a "buy now button" that has an alpha channel looks like it has a drop shadow that is white. This show against a colored background. I am only sleceting png 8 and doing an export. I am a PS CC newbie and don't know too much baout exporting. I am also using 256 colors and importing into MUSE.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm having real troubles exporting a button which has drop shadow applied to it. The vector shape has Gradient Overlay, Inner Shadow and Drop Shadow applied to it as layer effects.
When I export it with transparency, PNG-24 and then open and place it over the same background, the drop shadow looks quite different.
Has anything changed in the export of a document to a PDF.
I have a problem exporting a document that contains a shadow on some text. In the final PDf it shows the shadow as a block. I'm sure i used to be able to convert the text to an editable shape / ungroup them and the problem would be resolved. But it still exports the text with a block behind it.
I found that if I convert the back image under the text to a bitmap it resolves the problem only this causes a color shift in the background, no good when I'm trying to keep constant colors throughout the document.
I want to have a white rectangle, without a black or other border, sitting on a pale yellow ground. But so the rectangle does not look pasted onto the ground, I want a drop shadow around two of the sides. I do not want to use a plugin for this.
View 8 Replies View RelatedFor my business card design I have white text overlapping an area of very white grey- causing readability issues (insufficient contrast). It looks great apart from this one problem, so I still want to keep my white text and light background and fix it by separating the text and background with a darker drop shadow..
First, I added a black drop shadow to the text- but this was not enough to increase readability (text still looked faded on background as drop shadow was too subtle at 85% opacity, 0.04" blur) so I added a drop shadow to my drop shadow (100% opacity, 0.02" blur + 18% opacity, 0.02" blur). This produced a heavier drop shadow effect for my text as desired but, for some reason, the text came out slightly grey in print (offset run). It seems the drop shadow somehow got printed over the text itself to some extent- turning the white text somewhat grey (and so not looking as clean as intended).
How could this dropshadow bleed into the text happen? Is it to do with the fact I added a drop shadow to my drop shadow? I would have thought that, even then, the text should entirely overlap all of the drop shadow as the text is the top layer in the group.
What can I do to ensure that drop shadow does not print over text in any way in future? Do I have to stick to only one layer of dropshadow-or is there something else I'm missing?
I'm trying to remove the blitz shadow from head and body on a white/grey background, with the Lasso tool. The adjustments with Brightness/Contrast in the chosen area works like a charm, however I always get a nasty pixeled or whitelined boarder going constantly around the edited area; no matter if it boarders to a black area (shoulder) or a gray one (wall behind person).
I've tried to edit the primary/secondary color, with no luck. Any way to make this boarder "blend in" to the new brightness area - or to just remove it? The edited area is somewhat identical to the old background, so there is no natural reason to why it should be a constant boarder.
Or is it a better (and easy!) way to remove blitz shadow from a black and white picture?
I had an advertisement that I created in Graphic Designer 6 that is going to run in a paper as black and white. Does Xara GD6 have the ability to export as a B&W or a grayscale image? Or will I need to manually alter all of the colors of the ad and then export it?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an A3 sized times 3 artboard file that I want to save out at 300ppi so that I can print it at A1 without losing much quality. I do this every couple of months this will be the 4th time or so. Each time I run into this same problem and kind of just fudge my way around, but I'm not having as much luck this time and can't move forward to printing.
each sheet is a series of 20 coupons or so like seen above but when i export to jpg some of the coupons come out like this:
the white layers (there are two) both go transparent and the background paper image leaks through. as you can see in the after shot, in the upper right, some white is preserved (the shadow in a link file, but the white under 408 is an illustrator shape)
I've tried changing the white to 1%k or 1%c 1%m 1%y 1%k and things. usually fiddling with it like this in serveral random ways gets it to work eventually.
I have created a back and front for a business card and although it is 3.5" x 2" in illustrator, when I export it as any other format (tiff, jpg, bmp, etc) for some reason it saves this huge white area around it. The backside of the card (with all of the info) saves with just a little white bar at the top. The colored side of the card saves where it has a massive white space surrounding it.
The colored card does have some clipping masks and a transparency (for the background). That is all that I could think would possibly mess it up....
Ssince my last update in X6 all my whites are exporting as yellow and appear yellow in the thumbnails!
I can't even roll back to X3 as that has stopped giving me export options in the pop up dialog box!!!
After exporting an *.ai file to jpeg using 150 ppi and 5 for compression, I have extra white space below the artwork. This has happened in two files after exporting.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI used trace to do a trace of my image. I then used live paint to paint chunks of it. When I hovered over each bit, it would come up with a thick pink line and would fill in that line. So all was going well, I got everything the colour I wanted it, etc. I tried to export my image to a PDF and the purple lines that were so useful to me when I was doing live paint still showed up, but showed up as a white outline. I read forums and tried everything-deselected the keep ability to edit in illustrator and create acrobat layers from top level layers. But every time I try to open it in preview on the mac, the purple lines are still there. I can "click off of them" within illustrator, ie-select somewhere else on the page and it makes them go away, but even if they aren't showing up when I save it, they still show up on preview. I can't print it out like it is now!
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I export an image from CorelDraw to a jpeg, or png, (or probably anything for that matter) and try to use it in my web design program I get the little 1 pixel wide white line. WTH? I then have to take it into corel photo paint and erase that one pixel line, in order for it to be gone.
I've used Corel Draw since version 4 I think and this problem has existed in every version Corel has put out. I like the product, I find it easy to use but this glitch is maddening.
When I export as a PDF a white grainy line appears around an object where I've used a gaussian blur? why is this?

So that when I place the final psd on top of a block of solid colour in Indesign the gradient shows the background colour through where the black fades off.

I must have done something because the clouds that are rendered are black & white not Blue and white. My photo is of course a color image. And that there are no color shifts. I had version 6 at work and its fine, when I converted from RGB to CMYK the colors just got a little washed out but the whites remained white.
I've got CS2 at home on the PC. When I open photoshop or any document, the black and white are black and a dark cream color on my monitor. There is no white at all in the color areas and white seems to show as this cream color everywhere - affecting how I view images. However, when I print the white is white. Have tried changing around color settings.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using a pdf underlay to trace over and whenever the crosshair or pickbox enters a white area it does not shift color to black to remain visible. This leaves me picking randomly trying to guess where the crosshair or pickbox is. If I change the 3dconfig to disable hardware acceleration, the color shifts, but the pdf is whited out. Not to mention the fact that by disabling hardware acceleration, I'm wasting the expensive video card on the machine. Is there a workaround? updated driver? service pack?

know of a macro available that will search a document for any form of white fill (rgb, cmy,cmyk,greyscale, etc) and if it finds any of those colors, it will automatically change those white fills to a Pantone White Spot Color?
