View 3 RepliesI drop multiple photos into Photoshop then drag one at a time away from the tab bar in order to place these photos onto one layered image. I can do this but the photo I have dragged down remains positioned where i dragged it to and cant be freely moved to another part of the screen. It springs back like its on a rubber band. This is a problem when I wish to close the floating window and don't have the top right close button visible.
I have to return it to the tab top bar in order to open it then close the window. I previous versions of PS this was not a problem and now requires all these extra steps to solve. Its very frustrating when I have to work like this all day. I have PS CS6 on MS WIN7. Is there a preference selection I can make. I want to make photoshop windows behave like MS windows and remain where I drag them to.
I have actions in CS1 to open :
"Levels" window so I can individually adjust & save
"File info" window so I can individually add text & save
The former window I can move & all following windows will open in new position. The latter I can move but next image always opens centrally again. Any way to make "File info" window open off to one side?
Elements 10 on a MAC, his organizer window appears on screen with the top line/menu bar having File, Edit, find, View etc. off the screen at the top and I can't move it down to display properly. I am not very familiar with a MAC being a PC user myself

View 9 Replies View Relatedos windows 7, upgraded to Gimp 2.8.4 I open an .xcf file and go to single window mode. everthing looks ok the zero offsets on the rulers are where they should be and I can see the bottom of the gimp window where the % size change is. I then ask for a new tool bar which is provided and locked to the widow. if i go to full screen and then back the picture is pushed down as are the ruler zero's and i now can't get to the bottom of the screen. this annoying behavior does not seem to happen in multi window mode. attached is a screen capture.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn Windows 7 Home Premium x64, GIMP does not properly restore the position of the Toolbox window with "Save window positions on exit" checked in Preferences > Window Management. The Toolbox window does retain its size, but is placed in a seemingly random place in the top-left area of the screen every time GIMP is launched. Other windows retain their size and shape perfectly. I've searched for a solution to this problem but couldn't find one.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAm using the "pre-defined" walls in Autocad Architecture 2010, with equally pre-defined windows.
I have found where to change ("Edit window style") virtually every parameter of the window, e.g. frame and sash depths.
However - I can not find a way to change the position of the the glass in the window relative to the interior/exterior of the wall. (see attached image for clarification)
I hope I am making myself understood - the glass could for example (assuming the depth of the frame is the same as that of the wall it sits in) be located 40mm from the exterior of the wall - or 10mm.
Currently i am trying to get an Excel sheet incorporated into my AutoCAD layout. I get it in and it seems way to small. I re-scale the excel insert and get it right then update the sheet to get the new info and it shrinks back down. Now i thought at first it was the excel insert that was the problem, but now looking my layout seems to be extremely large and that's why the excel sheet is off. How can i take my existing layout and change it to fit 11x17. I really don't want to have to redraw the whole layout to make it fit 11x17.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have made a template for my mapbooks and I got the main viewport, key viewport and adjacent map arrows to work great, but the title block is proving more difficult. I have tried it many ways, in a seperate drawing in model space which did not work, in the template as a block in a layout which came in, but did not allow me to edit any foelds unless exploded, etc, etc...
How to use an existing company title block incorporated into the map book template?
i recently upgraded from 2006 to 2008, and am having a strange problem. when i open anything such as the xref manager or quick select window, i resize the window and the next time i open it, back to the default size and position.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if I've missed a setting or gradients are behaving differently in AI CC.
After filling a shape with a gradient fill and then modifying it's angle/position/size with the Gradient Tool (G)... then going to create a new shape, I want to reset the gradient back to the default angle/position/size. Usually I'd just click/double-click on the gradient I was using in the Swatches panel and it would reset. However this isn't working anymore.
I was wondering if I've missed a setting to make this possible
In AI CS5 the size and position of an image were displayed in the top toolbar when you selected the image. This is missing in AI CS6, how can I get it back?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a question, quite a tricky one. Is there any way how can I copy and paste position and size of two objects?
Let's say I have a circle 2 x 2 cm and it's position is y 5cm x 5cm, I have a square of size 3 x 7 cm and it's position is y 0cm x 0cm.
How do I copy and paste in a single command/step the circles position and size to square, so I can get square of 2 x 2 cm and it's position 5cm x 5cm?
Something like copy + paste in place with a different logics. I hope You understand what I want.
I'm doing it now manually, I'm copying size and position of one object to another [ctrl + c > ctrl + v] but it takes quiet a while,
I am trying to enlarge the text from an exported cad drawing from Dialux (lighting calculation software)...it has exported a field of values over a large area but the text is really small and illegible when its plotted as an A1 pdf
Is there anyway to blow all the text values up at once without moving them from their positions with relation to the boundaries of the roads and buildings? Here is a screenshot of the view with CAD...this is a small area of the entire scheme and those little black smudges are the numbers i need to scale
CAD Screenshot.jpg
I guess in a 3D program this would be equivalent to having the pivot point located in the centre of each set of numbers so you could scale them using the centre of each number as its scale point but I am stumped by how to do this in Autocad Architecture 2011..

Since I updated to CC I've had a bug that drives me a little nuts. Because I have a Retina MacBook Pro connected to an Apple Thunderbolt display, Photoshop seems to get confused about the size of the window to open. It thinks it should be sized to fit on the Retina screen (which I use as secondary), but at 100% on the non-retina screen (the primary display).
The end result is that every time I open a document the window is only showing the top quarter of the document I'm opening. I always have to hit command plus, command minus to get it displaying right.
Recently while working in multiple windows, when a image is moved for one window to the next, it is resized automatically form its original size , to a new size (ex. Orig. 5x5 to 4.2x4.2).
How can I keep this from happening, so my image retains its original size?
I am having diffuculties with my "Filters Gallery" window. Whenever it comes up, it cuts off some parts of the tools in the Filters Gallery. For example, if I wanted to give my image the "Plastic Wrap" filter, on the right side I only see half of the Highlight Strength, Detail and Smoothness adjustment bars, I can't see the little boxes where you enter numbers for the adjustment bars and only half of the Ok and Cancel buttons on the top of the window. When I try to adjust the window size by using the little black arrows that come up when you put your cursor on the edges of the window, it will only let me make the window longer, not wider. How can I make everything visible in my Filters Gallery window?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhy in CS6 when zoom changes window size and a floating window fits in Photoshop window or on other display screen do I get scroll bars where a select all selection marching ants are not visible on all four sides till I drag out the window to get rid of the scroll bars so I can see all of marching ants.
In previous versions of Photoshop space for scroll bars is present but there are no scroll bar, select all marching ants are visible on all four sides when an image's window fits in Photoshop window or on second display. Is there a way to make CS6 work like previous versions? Also if I just open a document and Photoshop fits it to Photoshop window or second display the floating window is correct without scroll bars.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIt would be nice if there was ab opportunity to start the 32 and 64 bit versions each with it's owen Workspace. There may be reasons to open one of them,. For instance: if I want to scan an image I have to use the 32 bit version and need my customized panel with the most used editing tools and so. For normal photo editing tasks this version is sufficient and gives access to all my plug-ins.
If I want to edit a video I "have" to use the 64 bit version and want it started with Motion as Workspace.
Is there any way to create an action or keyboard shortcut to set the Crop tool to the front window size in Photoshop CS6? I find that I use that several times a day. I got used to it being the top choice in the Crop tool presets menu.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to setup a block so that an attribute position remaines fixed (absolute to drawing) when moving the block?
I've been playing around with creating a Coordinate Block by following these instructions: [URL] ........
What I would like is to be able to set the position of the Coordinate Label and Coordinate Object independently, so that if I move one in the drawing, it doesn't move the other. I've looked into Dynamic Blocks, and the "Lock Position" parameter. I can move the attribute independently, but still everytime I move the block, the attribute moves too.
Our company uses a custom Sheet/Coordinate system to follow flyoffs across a drawing, and I'm trying to learn how to automate the process. It's completely manually right now, so any changes to a drawing creates a lot of work renumbering these flyoffs.
