While editing a small video (24MB) my video frame per second came to a grinding a hault - I have 4 GB ram which is at the low end of requirements, however suddenly the FPS dropped to a rate that makes it impossible to edit. I have restarted closed all other programs and my PC is not overtaxed. I have tried to play other videos that I had created with no issue and the same problem exists.

Is there a way to keep a video display its last frame after it ends play?
In this scenario lets say I have to overlays each with a video on them.Video A takes half the display and Video B takes the other half - so that they are side to side.
They are staggered in playback where the first ( Video A ) plays first and ends first and the second ( Video B) begins mid-way through when Video A plays.
I would like Video A to not go away after play but rather remain "still" on the last frame while Video B continues playing.
I am on a retina Macbook Pro. I am dropping frames. I ran the debug, and they are being dropped by grx, not the disk.1080 29.97 project. all fx are rendered.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIt used to be that whenever i would move the cursor in adobe premier with either the left or right arrows or by simply clicking and dragging it, it would play the audio from that frame. But it is not doing it anymore, I think i must have accidently hit a shortcut key or something to change it in settings i dont know. But it would be good if I could get the setting to change it back. I know for a fact that my laptops speakers do work, so its not that.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy band has just recorded our first music video. We are very happy with the result except that the glasses on me (the lead singer) during the close-ups look very funny, they are very skew, and the "frame" does not go behind the ear.
What I would like to do is to import the video and edit these clips frame by frame, where this is showing. There is about 15 seconds totally of me in close-up - 15 x 24= 360 images. The clips are about 1-3 seconds long. And I want to edit all of these short clips of me and then make it a full-length video again.
I made a quick edit on one of the images from the video. The shades still look a little funny but it gets better when the frame goes behind the ear. If it's possible to correct the "glass" part of the shades as well.
Using cs6 and video won't play on tv/dvd? Settings? Have tried several and nothing is working? It will play on computer but I need it to show on tv using dvd player.

but it shows video frames, when I hover mouse from left to right edge of item in LibraryGrid view. Seems like output of "Loupe" for video is broken and play control (scroll and buttons) is disabled. Have tried LR 5.0 and LR 5.2 RC.
Quick time 7.7.4 plays this files perfectly.

I recently downloaded Premiere Pro through Creative Cloud and I have now made a video I wish to share with friends and family. The only trouble is, whenever I export it, the video saves and shows up in my folders but if I try to open it a notice comes up saying " Server execution failed". Why does this happen and how can I get my video to play on things such as Windows Media Player? I have used Premiere Pro at college many times before and all the exporting details looked fine but that didn't work and even when I made a few adjustments.

I have a number of files of type MTS which I understand to be AVCHD and are imported from my Panasonic Lumix TZ20 camera which captures HD video. These files will not play in the Organizer, resulting in a message stating the required Codec is missing. However, when the same file is sent to Premiere Elements for Editingand agreeing to a message to have Premiere set the correct properties for the media type it plays perfectly. What am I do wrong? Are there any settings I need to change to have Organizer also play the file successfully?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've owned X4 Pro for about a year and just now purchased X5 Pro/Ultimate. We use it for our voice over business, which on occasion needs to edit videos for very simple projects. VS seemed to fit the bill at its price point, but now I'm second guessing my decision.
The issue is the time it takes from hitting the "Play" button to the time it actually begins. I would have thought it to begin instantly. But instead it takes 2 ~ 3 seconds to start. It has been this way with both X4 and X5. Before you ask, it has been this way using the following setups:
Windows XP with both stock motherboard video and with Asus Geforce 210 (VS X4)
Windows 7 with both stock motherboard video and with newly bought MSI R6850 Cyclone 1GD5 Power Edition (both VS X4 & X5)
Types of videos used: every type of file extension I could get my hands on and every type of length (full length movies to a few second snippets).
For some reason today it just stopped paying the audio from my Nikon D300S video files. I tried importing a new file but that won't play either and I reloaded the program and that won't work either. I know the audio is that as it will play in Windows.

The video loads fine, I can see the thumbnail, but when I hit play I hear audio for a few seconds, the video doesn't typically play or plays for only 1 second then the app crashes. Video files play fine in quicktime or Windows media. This happened in 4.3 as well so not related to the upgrade to 4.4. Here is what is logged in the Windows error log.

I have PSP X3...we are having a family reunion, and decided to create a DVD slideshow of past and present family members to show on a TV screen. The idea was to use a DVD player to play the slideshow, and hopefully be able to give out DVDs of the slideshow to family members at the reunion.
We have been able to create the slideshows using Project Creator: the slideshow consists of typical jpg files scanned using a typical scanner/printer of old photographs. The slideshow is a default .AVI container, which all 3 DVD players we have tried to use state they support AVI. However, none of the DVD players have been able to play the slideshow, saying "disc error", or "disc is not compatible for playing or recording".
My question is, do we need to use the actual Corel PSP X3 program, in order to make the slideshow work? We are able to connect a laptop to a widescreen TV for showing at the reunion, but this would kill our ability to hand out DVDs of the slideshow to family members, as they would 1) need a PC, and 2) need Corel PSP X3 in order to make the slideshow play.
Surely there should be a way to make the video play for typical DVD player support. We have used a Sony, Panasonic, and a Memorex DVD player, with the 1st two options being fairly new, DVR devices.
I Just bought a new HP laptop and it came with Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 pre installed. When I go to open the program I get the error message 'Cannot initialize application. The screen resolution is too small to play the video. The screen resolution must be set to at least 1024 x 768". Well the screen res is on 1600 x 900, so i thought i would have that covered. I tried changing the screen res to 1024x768 and get the same message.

I've read more articles and forum threads than I care to recall, but just can't seem to find the right combination. Safari wil play audio only and IE10 gives me "Error: Unsupported video type or invalid file path".
I've contacted my host provider to ensure that the server is compatible with all video formatts and I've had other people from different locations try to play the video with slightly varied results, but ultimately the video doesn't play for them either. Here is the code I'm using:

In my previous version (CS5.1) I could drag a single frame of video from a .mov file and drop it onto my Photoshop icon and Photoshop would open that frame as new document. But now in CS6 when I try to do this I get the following error: "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file"
Why won't this work now in CS6?
I'm on a Mac Pro, 12-core Intel with 24 gig of ram. Everything updated and licensed.
When I import a short AVCHD or MPG (~ 1 min., 100 mb) into Premiere Pro CS6 or After Effects CS6, it plays great. When I import the same file into Photoshop CS6 on the same computer, it's jerky, even with sound off, frame skipping enabled, cached, and no other applications running.
System is a Core i7 with 8 gb RAM, 1.5 gb nVidia GeForce, Win 7 x64 and DirectX 11. All drivers ruthlessly updated.
Photoshop CS6 Extened won't play or process Dolby Digital (AC-3) Audio Files from my AVCHD video files.The video plays fine just no sound at all. When processed still no sound. Are there any (AC-3) audio codecs I can download and install. How would I install them. Do I need to convert audio files to another format & if so how & what format.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have started a new video project with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 in Photoshop CS6with a pixel aspect ratio set to square.. In the project I add a video to the timeline. The source video was created in QuickTime and exported at a 1920 x 1080 resolution MOV file. I have check both the source clip at the canvas siye and have confirmed that both are 1920 x 1080. However, when I import the video it takes up less than the entire frame. It appears that the video is being scaled down so that there is some white space to the right and below the video clip. See the image below.
In the past I have been able to import 1920x1080 video to a 1920x1080 project without a problem. I have 4 or 5 examples that have worked well.
I imported a video layer from file then set the frame rate to 12fps, when I play the video it keeps changing the frame rate to random times. How do I keep it at 12fps?

I'd like for the 'frame' to make the footage look like a 1920's photo that is damaged around the edges. I want to give the audience the impression they are looking at an old photo that has an animated video in it.
I've exported a few samples as a test. The center was transparent upon export, yet became white when I re-opened the image. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The background setting was selected as 'transparent'.
