View 1 RepliesI have Photoshop CS6, I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 (both x64). I use the RAM disk as a scratch disk (16 GB RAM total, 4GB RAM disk). When I use filter liquify, Photoshop crashed. I tried two RAM disks and both have the same behavior. In Windows 7 it worked good. I have final version of Windows 8 from MSDN, no beta.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a error message that said that I should delete and reload Photoshop CC. However, the CC Application does not recognize that the program is no longer on my Mac and will not allow me to download it again. I tried restarting the computer, but that did not work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOkay I am trying to make a homemade flip book in Photoshop CS5 and am trying to save the frames. I imported a video and converted it into individual layers for every frame.
Now I'm trying to save it by going to 'File > Scripts > Export Layer to Files' and there is no options in my Scripts tab at all.
When I go to 'File > Scripts' all that's in there is just 'Browse'.
Then when I click on 'Browse' it just takes me to the folder where I opened the PS file. How I can get the default scripts back? I don't even have any scripts to export layer comps, which is something I do frequently.
Windows 7, had everything working fine. Added SSD and installed system from scratch on SSD. Old drive is now my second drive.
Trying to put the scratch disk on the second (old) drive to reduce wear on the SSD. But every time I do, I get the disk error message and it erases all my settings (so annoying!)
I figure it's a permissions thing since I've had to deal with that already to some degree, but I don't know how to fix it since I don't know where adobe is trying to save the scratch file.
Photoshop CS6 crashed in OSX 10.8.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI was working on a .psd file (opened in PaintTool SAI) when there was a blackout so my laptop was crashed. When I opened it an hour later, the .psd file was ruined; all layers flattened to one black background layer; and no matter how many programs I tried to open the file, it's still the same black image.
Is there any possible way to recover my .psd file before it was crashed?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWas asked to troubleshoot a Win 7 PS13 (CS6) crash today - first time to my knowledge PS has ever crashed! On restart, no Auto Recover option. All work lost. Did some checking.
Found two folders:
1. On the boot disk, found Usersxxxx.......AutoRecover
2. On the exclusive scratch disk - set on G: - found the folder G:PSAutoRecover (as well as the PS temp file in the root of G:).
Both the AutoRecover folders were empty.Set auto save time to 5 minutes... Rebooted. Restarted PS and created a new file - test01.psd. Saved it. Did some work, didn't save... kept checking... (played games for 15 mins). Checked. Both AutoRecover files remained empty.
Crashed the system (forced shutdown). Auto recover option and the test file was not showing up in the recent files list... opened the original test01 .psd. No work subsequent to the original save showed up. Nor any recovery option. Did some more work on the file... just checked... both the AutoRecover folders are still empty.(Just closed PS and saw that the PS temp file deleted itself. Both the AutoRecovery folders remain - empty.} So, my questions are:
1. Is there a 'Permissions' attribute i need to set? Or...
2. Is the AutoRecover messed up? Or...
3. Is the installation messed up and should i advise a reinstallation?
I have a CS4 file i have been working on (rendering a PDF) file got big 1.7 gig, crashed, and now wont open. I get this message: Error opening the PDF document. Error code =0x20030003. I need to recover this file.

View 15 Replies View RelatedWhen the 'up' arrow appears in a thumbnail and comes up with the message:
The metadata for one or more of these photos has been changed by another application. Should Lightroom import settings from disk or overwrite disk settings with those from the catalog?
What exactly does that mean? This seems to happen every time I export an image to PS (CS5) and return to LR. What exactly has changed? What settings are being imported if I choose 'import settings from disk'.
My computer crashed last week and I had Photoshop Elements 9 installed on it. It has been quite a few years since I bought the program and I have since lost the disc during the multiple moves I've went through. Is there any way I could redownload it somehow without paying for it again? My computer is basically trash now so there's no real way for me to get the program off or deactivate it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst Photoshop doesn't recognized my GPU which is Nvidia GTX 680M. I'm using a new Alienware R4 with Win8 pro.
Photoshop CS6 doesn't recognize my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M GPU?
[URL]
After following the instruction now Photoshop CC is supposely using my NVIDIA GPU, but it immediately crashed after launching, for both 32 bits and 64 bits. My NVIDIA driver version is 320.49 600 series, the latested one I just updated. If I deselect the NVIDIA option in the control panel I no longer suffer the crash problem but as you know there is a reported problem with Intel HD4000 integrated GPU where screen flickering keeps happening if you use a toolbox. To avoid the problem the only thing I can do is to deselect the use GPU option in CC option (changing the mode advanced setting doesn't work). By deselcting the GPU option get rid of the problem but there is another problem with zooming: it cannot zoom in real time anymore, instead it's having a toolbox where you choose a reagion and it will jump to that region, and I can only zoom in by doing this, not zooming out.
So basically I had a problem with NVIDIA which crashes CC immediately and a problem with Intel HD4000 integrated GPU with flickering screen and another problem with no GPU selected where I cannot zoom in real time. Whatever I do always give me some sets of problem that I can't solve.BTW I haven't try CS6 yet, I may proceed to download a trial copy and I thought CC and CS6 are using the same core. Nevertheless, those problem should definately be looked into.
My laptop recently died before I was unable to do a backup of the PSE 9 catalog. I thought I was covered, however, since I do regular backups of my total system. In reviewing the backup data though, I discovered that I had copies of all of my pictures -- but the backup tool that I was using was NOT copying the PSE catalog file. Bottom line, I'm now missing probably 15+ years of catalog information......
Someone has told me that they believe they can pull some information off the damaged disk of the old PC. If this is possible, what file(s) should I ask them to try and recover -- and where would it likely be located?
Windows 7 OSPSE 9Catalog was not backup prior to system crash. I do not recall file structure of where photos were stored -- but I do have back up copies of all pictures (now stored on my new laptop)
My pse10 organizer just stopped opening. crashed.Have been working with organizer for years.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI own Photoshop CS3. My computer hard drive crashed so I am reinstalling everything.
I originally downloaded CS3 from Adobe and I have the product Key. I have a backup of the original Adobe files that I downloaded in 2010, on a CD. I put a copy of the files on my new C: drive and then installed the software. It installed fine, but when I open up CS3 it freezes, it shows the CS3 menus but I can't do anything else.
Is it because I didn't deactivate my old CS3?
