View 1 RepliesI am trying to import an HD video file into Photoshop CS4 and I am getting a white screen.
The timeline shows the clip and is at the correct length, but no image is appearing.
The file is an .avi file.
Any ideas?
I have an ATI 4850 video card.
I've been trying to make some GIFs but when I try to import the video frames to layers it shows a white screen instead of playing the movie.
All of them work on windows media player but I've heard that a lot of it has to work on QuickTime.
I've already updated the program but it still won't work. A friend of mine also told me that it might be the format of the video. Is there anything I could do to fix this?
The usual import menue has the options for importing on the right hand side. My system is now showing an import dialouge box and the import dialouge on the right is greyed out. How do I get back to the standard import screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm in the process of evaluating several video editing programs. So far I've used AVS Video Editor, Cyberlink Power Director and Adobe Premiere. With each program I've spent 30 minutes making a quick demo video to see how intuitive it is and how well it performs. Today I downloaded Corel Visual Studio and decided to give it a go.
I've run into a problem straight away.I've tried to import raw avi files. So I'm using the "Select Import Source Folders" screen. When I navigate to the folder containing the files the OK button is greyed out and won't work. It's greyed out all of the time.
at start up and/or after a few minutes in photoshop CS3 it freezes, goes to white screen and hangs and becomes useless. it starts off lagging like if i turn layers on and off takes a moment to change, if i mask something marquee slowly moves or stops moving altogether, flip between different workspaces, open and close files large and small, any of those it freezes and dies having to force it to close. i have photoshop CS2 also installed and it runs fine. everything else CS3 works (illustrator, acrobat etc.)
things ive tried:
1. reinstalling: ver10 of disk does this as well as 10.1 update
2. delete preferences: from docs and settings as well as thru Photoshop
3. cache purge
4. yelling
5. change scratch disk: i have 3 internal drives
6. memory test
7. turn anti virus on and off
8. change page filing size
I am trying the Beta of Photoshop cs6 and cannot hear audio in the video screen. I have tried wav, mp3, aiff with no luck The mute button is off so I give.
View 18 Replies View RelatedWhen I run a video in Windows Media Player then freeze it and take a print screen and paste the print screen into Photoshop, I can't save out the picture because the picture 'moves' around it's canvas in the picture. And when I unfreeze the video so it carries on playing in Windows Media Player, it plays in the pasted Photoshop window too!
How do I simply save out a picture from a video still?
Why is the screen in my liquify page blank / white? I used to be able to see the picture I was working on but now it just shows a white page... I have Photoshop CS4.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently had my desktop computer crash ( it is a gateway ) and had to wipe it clean and re-install everything. I have Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium. Since re-installing Creative Suite, Ps has begun having issues opening files. Ps will usually open the 'first' file as normal; however, any subsequent files that I ask it to open just open as blank screens that are either black or white. It has also begun freezing on me for no apparent reason. As I mentioned above I have a gateway desktop with a Core Intel i5 processor.

View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I downloaded a trial version of PSE. This means of course that I'm new to the game. I can follow a step-by-step guide though. Here's what I'd like to do: I've taken a dozen photos of an actor with a green screen as a background. Is there a way that I can chroma-key out the green and put in another color, like gray or perhaps a textured off-white?

I am trying to print a white under base film for my image to screen print on a dark shirt. I read it is best to choke the image so it is a little smaller and the white does not peep through once the color is placed on top. Is there an easy way to create this base image? I am having a hard time copying or duplicating and making it smaller.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy exported videos don't seem to be full screen. My source data are jpg pictures in 4272x2848 resolution (Aspect Ratio of 3:2) turned into time lapse videos. I have tried exporting in MPEG-4 and WMV Screen capture 1920x1080 (1.777:1) and the resulting videos have black bars on the sides because of the different aspect ratio. I would ideally like to have an imported video file that is the same aspect ratio as the source pictures, something like a 1620x1080 (3:2). Can I pick a custom resolution for exporting? Is there a way I can crop the black bars out afterwards? Can I apply a cropping filter to the current project before exporting?
The "Enable Widescreen" setting had no effect on the videos, they came out identical.
This used to work, but now I can't find any way to import videos into Photoshop to make GIFs. When I go to import a video, mp4s are greyed out but I can still select avi files.
When I select an avi file, the preview comes up blank. When it imports, every layer is black. This feature used to work perfectly, but now it won't work at all! The avi files play fine in Quicktime Player, for which I have the Perian add-on.
I can't Import video&Audio file in photoshop cs6..And my timeline is like Cs5.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Macbook Pro, OS X 10.8.4 and installed Photoshop CS4 on it, but when I select import video frames to layers and search for a video, they appear but I can't select any videos. I have the latest version of Quicktime and the videos play fine. I can still use photoshop with photos so it seems like it's just this one function that isn't working. It works on my sister's older Macbook pro though (she hasn't got Mountain Lion though, it's snow leopard OS X 10.6.8), and the only time it didn't work was when there wasn't enough space on the computer but I have over 670GB of available space.
