View 1 Replies View RelatedThe specs for PS CS3 Extended Edition says MPEG-2 is supported if an encoder is available. Is it possible to import MPEG-2 clips into PS? If so, how? What I want to do is move HDV clips from Premier Pro CS3 to PS Extended and do some corrections and then move back.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a difficult time Exporting my 640 X 360 Video In an Mpeg Format, I am making a YouTube Video in 640 X 360 ( 360P I believe the size is called ) only because that is what my source video size is. My original source video is " AVI - 30Fps " I have cut and fine tuned my 8 Second Video that took me 8+ hrs to figure out how to make
Under the Project Properties there are 2 format types available, MPEG and AVI. Under MPEG Project Options --> General, I have only 4 sizes to choose from in the frame size box, 720 x 480 - 704 X 480 - 352 X 480 - 352 X 240, And the user defined selection bullet is GREYED out.
Is it possible that because im using the trial version that I just cannot fully use the software, If so then I can go back and install my VideoStudio X4, I was hoping to Upgrade to X5 because I can directly import my Paint Shop Pro Layers as well as CorelDRAW too.
I want to render a video that consists of two parts: A small intro (8 sec) and a video (~2min). I want to render it on iPhone 4/iPad HD (720p). Now, after rendering the intro (~9%) the program crashes with the message "Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 doesn't respond..." System Specs in profile.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was trying to 'create a video file' when I received this message, 'Ulead VideoStudio [2000:1:1] Failed to open the MPEG encoder.
I've made countless movies and this is the first time I'm having this problem. Maybe I had it in 2008, but I've just turned 70 and remembering what I did then is a thing of the past!
Error message:
"Failed to open MPEG encoder".
I'm using Ulead VideoStudio 11+ and when I try to render a completed video to a file I receive this error message. The video is a little large, one hour fourteen minutes, so I cut it in half, saving it under a different name and it still gave me the same error message. However, if I render a very small clip then it renders as it's suppose to.
I've never had this trouble before. I reloaded the software for 11+ but that didn't work.
I have yet to edit a video. I have over 25 years of videos that were made on VCR tapes. I used a Panasonic VCR to DVD recorder to transfer those tapes to DVDs. I changed the extension from VOB to MPEG. Most of them import into X3 just fine. However, some of the videos I want the most will make X3 not respond (hang).
Here is what happens: I use the "Insert Media File to Library" process. Normally, when I click on the video its name appears in the File Name box right away. When it is a video that is going to hang the program it takes a very long time to fill the File name box. Sometimes it hangs there. Once, I was able to get the video into X3 and it started but I couldn't move the scrubber and then it would hang the program.
The odd thing is that the video will play in Windows Media Player and work just fine. I don't think there is anything wrong with X3, I think it is the videos. Would I benefit from an upgrade to X4?
I'm in the process of evaluating several video editing programs. So far I've used AVS Video Editor, Cyberlink Power Director and Adobe Premiere. With each program I've spent 30 minutes making a quick demo video to see how intuitive it is and how well it performs. Today I downloaded Corel Visual Studio and decided to give it a go.
I've run into a problem straight away.I've tried to import raw avi files. So I'm using the "Select Import Source Folders" screen. When I navigate to the folder containing the files the OK button is greyed out and won't work. It's greyed out all of the time.
I try to import a video to Photoshop CC to turn it into a Gif, but when i try to import it, it comes up saying cannot import on this version of windows but the previous Photoshop was fine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot import any video files into PS Extended (10.0.1) without a Photoshop crash. The crash is caused by quicktime.qts file. I have tried to re-install quicktime several times with no success. Every other Quicktime function seems to work well.
I have a newer Intel Quad PC with 2gb memory, 260GB of disk space and a nVidia Geforce 8800GTS video card.
I tried to open the file(.avi) normally - got a white screen. Tried to import as layers - all white. I mean, the layers are there, but they`re all blank.

When I select an avi file, the preview comes up blank. When it imports, every layer is black. This feature used to work perfectly, but now it won't work at all! The avi files play fine in Quicktime Player, for which I have the Perian add-on.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Macbook Pro, OS X 10.8.4 and installed Photoshop CS4 on it, but when I select import video frames to layers and search for a video, they appear but I can't select any videos. I have the latest version of Quicktime and the videos play fine. I can still use photoshop with photos so it seems like it's just this one function that isn't working. It works on my sister's older Macbook pro though (she hasn't got Mountain Lion though, it's snow leopard OS X 10.6.8), and the only time it didn't work was when there wasn't enough space on the computer but I have over 670GB of available space.

I'm trying to import part of a .mpg file using Import Video Frames To Layers. I only want a very small part of the clip but the slider in the import window appears to be missing. I need this to work, does anyone have a (re)solution please. This functioned fine in all previous versions of PS I've used. I need this functionality in order to work. Screenshot attached. View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been searching for an answer for a while now, and I still can't seem to make this work. I'm trying to make gifs. I'm using a Mac and I've already switched my CS5 to a 32-bit version, but the video is greyed out even though it's an mp4 and won't let me import the video.

I've looked through some tutorials, and everything should work. I'm have Quicktime version 10.2, so that should be the latest version?
I took many jpeg's & a few video's on my camera the other day. All jpeg's all imported OK but the video didn't. It's the same format as I have imported many times before .MTS (light) 1280 x 720). I can play the video in the camera OK. I can play the video in Windows 7 OK. When I select the clips that I want to import from PSE 10 I see the thumbnails, select those I want press the button & a few minutes it just says import failed with no explication given. I have even selected the pictures from the cards video file & tries cut & paste but nothing happens.I'm running windows 7 pro 64 bit.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, suddenly when I import video frames to layers, it is now set as Quicktime files that can only be opened (AVI,MPEG etc) and won't pick up MMV files at all. I used to make a lot of gifs fine with WMV files (thats the only format Photoshop PS5 would let me open for years), now it is set up as Quicktime files all of a sudden. It only opens AVI files as well, other video formats pop up with blank screens and then go transparent. Is there any way I can fix this? I'd like to be able to make gifs with WMV files again.
Â
Is there some way you can open MP4 files onto Photoshop CS5 as well? Converting Youtube vids to WMV is quite a process.

Importing video AVCHD (home video) - video plays fine....but i hear no sound.Â
Pumped up volume on PSE video screen and computer master volume...but still no sound. It cant be that difficult to get sound...could it?
Â
All i did was import the video from my C drive into PSE 11. When i play the video on windows media player, it plays fine. I hear the sound perfectly at 5.1 surround. So i know the movie file is good.....so why wont the sound import into PSE 11?
Â
My camcorder is new 2013. SonyHD w/ 5.1 surround sound
Â
I would think there would be no compatibility issues since i am using latest PSE 11 and a newer camcorder.
I forgot I have v11.5 and am getting some good results creating my own SmartScene menus. Can I import DVD-video to use in a new DVD and make minor in/out changes without it reencoding? Otherwise, I'll have to dig out my backup of avi files and start anew since the original source is Hi8 and can't be re-encoded.
