Photoshop :: Tilt Shift And Other Blur Adjustment Anchors Not Visible
Jul 26, 2013I have the latest updates for Adobe Photoshop CC. Using the advanced blur filters, such as Tilt Shift do not show any adjustment anchors. If I am lucky enough to run my mouse cursor over them, I get a changed mouse cursor to indicate I came move them. but the references lines, anchor points...nothing is visible to show me where to make the changes or boundaries for such adjustments. I had hoped this bug would be fixed, but apparently not. I am unable to find any other references to it on the forums so maybe it is just me.
I can run my old Photoshop CS6 and they show up just fine. to how to fix this?

Apr 15, 2013I am trying to create tilt shift effects. issue in selecting focus and blur areas. I do the following - Go to Quick Mask(Press 'Q') --> Select Gradient (Press 'G') --> Then I draw a vertical line to define the focus area. Usually a relatively darker red color used to appear as a band. But suddenly I see a very vague red color. And when I exit Quick Mask (Press 'Q') again the marching ants selects the entire picture and not the focus and blur areas.

Nov 9, 2012It appears Max has no native way to match a physical tilt-shift lens like Maya, Modo, etc.?
I have a scene where I need to match the tilt-shift from a physical camera. I received photo tests, one with the camera pitched and without tilt-shift correction, and another with the tilt-shift lens used to correct the issue.
Using Modo I matched the virtual cameras to the physical camera during the design phase. Using Modo's Film Offset Y setting, I was able to put in the precise tilt-shift settings from the photographer to get a match.
Now in Max/V-Ray, I imported the Modo camera, made the necessary adjustments while establishing a vray camera and matched the camera without tilt-shift.
But I cannot match the tilt-shift corrected lens since V-Ray corrects the tilt-shift without altering the perspective like a real tilt-shift lens does. So the V-Ray camera vertical shift feature works great until you're trying to simulate a real tilt-shift lens.
Max's native camera doesn't support this either. Yet I was able to replicate the modo & real camera setup within minutes using the Maya camera.
Photoshop Elements :: Tilt Shift In Guided Edit Does Not Change When Click On Icon
Oct 18, 2012Just getting used to elements 11 - the tilt shift in the guided edit does not change when I click on the icon, then click and drag. I am sure I am following instructions correctly, but nothing changes when I try to rezone the area I wish to have showing without blur. I could do in operation in the expert mode, but it should work in guided edit.

Photoshop :: Displace Filter On Red, Green And Blue Fabric
Mar 14, 2008I am trying to map hundreds of fabric pattern to a window curtain for catalog purpose. So I am thinking to shoot the displace map with white fabric so that the displace map will clearly distinguish between the black, gray and white.
Then I took a step further, I am thinking to use a green fabric with red border on the bottom of the curtain so that I can tell photoshop to map pattern A with green and pattern B with red.
However, I am concern that since green and red panel with shadow and highlight isn't exactly the same as white fabric with shadow and highlight; therefore, the displacement of the fabric pattern will be different between white background and colored background.
How do I solve this? Is there any way to tell photoshop to convert colored fabric to a "white" fabric with all the shadow and highlight accurately represent?

Oct 29, 2013When I go to open photos - they are opening in blue-green-purple colors as if a filter is being applied. The color pallette is also appearing with the same blue-purple colors. In the layers pallette - the icon of the image appears in the normal colors and no filters, etc. have been applied. It's all starting from when selecting the photo to be opened in photoshop.

Feb 22, 2011I noticed that animated gif that I put into other web builders load fine, show cleanly.Yet when put into XDP6, the same graphics get a ghosting effect.In other words, after letters have cleared the screen, a remaining unintended outline remains. The graphics are clean in previews, viewing directly, using other web builders, or on other sites built with other software.
Today I visited the New Features page for X3D7 and had the same issue with the gif on that page too. (attached screenshot for reference)I am using win7/64bit, 8gb ram, hi-speed internet connection, don't have anything set in the browser and no browser "helper" that is adjusting image quality. This problem is only seen in Internet Explorer, not Firefox.Is there a setting in XDP that needs to be adjusted so this doesn't happen?

Jul 30, 2013I sometimes am having some graphics problems. I placed a gantry into an assembly and it leaves a 'ghost' image behind. When I go under options and change from say 'smoother' to 'smooth' the problem goes away. Any way to avoid this totally?
My specs: Inventor Professional 2014, 64 bit edition, I've got an HP Z400 desktop which is a 3.2GHz Processor with 4 cores, 12 GB RAM. NVIDIA Quadro 4000 graphics card.
I never had this problem with 2012, nor 2013, same computer, same settings which I always import.

I've got a ATI Radeon HD 4670 video card. I've checked off "basic" under the performance with no luck. Is it my video card?

Mar 16, 2009Working on a photoshop image. Horizontal and vertical banding occurs in thin lines of solid colors randomly within the image.
They can be repainted out, but with any zoom or tool action more seem to appear.
They exist even after saving and restarting.

I tried opening in Photoshop and a different error occurs. I avoid PS as much as humanly possible and have not used it since acquiring the D4. BUT as I recall it shares this module with Lightroom so this message is unexpected as LR has no problem with all the other D4 images.

1. What do the two LR messages usually mean?
2. Does the CS5 message look like a separate problem . If so why does the camera raw module work in LR?
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Ghosting When Panning / Zooming In Paperspace?
Jan 9, 2013Since installing SP1, I have noticed "ghosting" when panning/zooming in paperspace i.e. the original image is still visible. The only solution I have found is to turn off Hardware Acceleration and then turn it back on.

It won't stop, even when I adjust the settings in Shape Dynamics. I'm not very experienced with different brushes, and a little while ago I was adjusting one, and now the pen tilt won't stop. Mar 30, 2008Can someone tell me how to change the direction of the pen tilt so that it sprays the right direction? I have an airbrush from Wacom, and the spray goes in the opposite direction from the tilt. It does the same thing if I use the Wacom brushes as well.

Mar 7, 2009I have Photoshop CS4(11.0.1) and an intuos 3 tablet. I'm trying to get the Pen Tilt setting to work in photoshop but it just doesn't. The tilt works fine in Painter however, and I have the latest wacom drivers installed.
In the brush settings I'm going under Shape dynamics(it's checked), checking control>pen tilt, min diameter 0, tilt scale 200%. No matter what I do it only always works as if I have the control set to pen pressure sensitivity.
I don't think I need the 6D art pen for pen tilt, or do I? Is there any other hidden setting for this to work?
