VideoStudio :: AVI File Not Accessible?
Aug 20, 2011I'm trying to load an avi video ... which was created from an online webinar I did (the online room uses a program called - Conference Recording Service) - which creates an avi file.
I try to bring it into VSPro 4 but it tells me - "xxx file is inaccessible" followed by the message "This file cannot be added to the project due to unknown file format or not enough memory or copyright".
I can play this file in Windows Media Player ...I thought VS works with avi files?

They all produce .AVI files which play OK on my laptop but when loaded into VSX3 I get the message ‘file not accessible’. The rudimentary ArcSoft program provided with the camera [and now on my laptop] handles the files OK.

Aug 9, 2012I'm using LR 4 on a Mac.I've been an LR user for three years.I few days ago I imported 500+ images from a folder in Apple Finder into LR.The import was successful because I deleted a few photos and made adjustments to a few right after finishing the import.
Today I went back into LR to continue working on the remaining images and the folder I imported them into is not visible.When I search using a filename and Find under Library in LR, I'm told that no Photos match.Trying to re-import the images results in a message that the photos are already in LR!

Dec 12, 2012Getting a lot of message pop ups about not accessible dst file. In conjunction with this is constant slow down if the sheetset is open with the blue cursor wheel constantly thinking. If the sheet set is closed, this immediately fixes this.
Ruled out network problems as 2012 works fine. I believe this to be isloated to 2013.

Premiere Pro :: RAID Drive Not Accessible In Media Browser?
Apr 15, 2014Having a strange issue with a 6TB OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual. I can't get the drive to work in Media Browser in Mavericks OS-X. It shows up in Finder and if I click on "Local Drives" in Media Browser it is there but I cannot access it. I've tried connecting it via Thunderbolt and USB3 and no luck either way. Oddly enough, it works fine via USB3 on my PC. I've tried it on a MacBook Pro and a 2013 MacPro and it's a bust on both. I'm running the latest versions of Mavericks and Premiere Pro CC. What might be tripping up Media Browser or if there's a way I should reformat the drive. Currently it is Raid 0, Mac OS Extended (Journaled)).

These symbols have pretty basic functionality, and that works inside the symbol.
So dropping the layout symbols directly on the stage, the functionality works fine.
But calling the layout symbols through the adaptive container, it no longer works.
I've even converted the adaptive container into a symbol, to call that symbols first.

Jun 6, 2013How I can add materials to the Inventor material library. I have created and defined the material in Autodesk Simulate Mechanical and they are available in the material libraries in that program, but inaccessible in Inventor. It doubles my work load if i need to define the materials in both programs and also creates hassles if a change needs to be made to a single material.
The materials are currently saved in .mlb library files. Iventor requests a .asklib file for when trying to add a library.

They work fine for new parking because they are set to always be a certain width. 5'-0" or 8'-0" for an access aisle, etc. What i would like to figure out is how to create an existing access aisle that can be stretched horizontally & vertically.
The problem is that when the striping is at an angle as is the case with the access aisle how do i go about doing this? Could i put some sort of geometric constraint to be able to stretch it horizontally & vertically & keep the striping at a given angle. Also the striping may need to array as it is stretched.

Oct 9, 2013I used Lightroom SDK to create a plugin generating custom set of Metadata (for LR5) to manage images as produced items (printed and framed photos). In order to be able to create usefull lists of items, I would need to be able to print this metadata fields on contact Sheets.This is the only functionality that prevents me from using Lightroom as a database for produced artworks, beeing able to manage exhibitions, stock locations, sales etc...Guess this means I have to make those new fields accessible in the Text Template Editor that allows user to compose an aggregated text from various type of metadata for printing or slideshows.But seems that only the original sets of metadata appears in Text Template Editor, not the one created by my plugin.Is there a way to add this functionnality to my plugin ?

May 19, 2012When I first installed Adobe Photoshop CS6 I was unable to run Photoshop or Bridge CS6. Photoshop would give me an error about "could not open a scratch file because the file is locked. If I ran either of these programs as an administrator they would run without issue, this led me to believe that there was a permission issue somewhere. After some digging I found out the both Bridge and Photoshop try to create a temp file (similiar to Photoshop Temp2777223910092) on the c: drive of the computer. In my case the user that I was logged in with did not have access to write to the root of the C: drive. Note that you run the program as the administrator and change the scratch disk location as that changes the preference for the administrator user and not the user that you are currently logged in as.
I first had to give the user that I was logged on with write permissions to the root of the C: drive. Next try and run Photoshop, you will get an error another error about the scratch disk and about and invalid or missing setting file. To correct this you need to have run Photoshop as an administrator, next you can go to Users AdminAppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings and copy Adobe Photoshop CS6 Prefs and/or Adobe Photoshop X64 CS6 Prefs to Users<your logged in username>AppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6.Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings.

The video was shot on my iphone 4S and ive even tried converting to other formats yet Photoshop still gives the same error. I have checked through Bridge and I have no option to send to Photoshop on the right click menu. try out the new features of CS6 for video editing.
I am running a 27" iMac with 12gb RAM and 1gb of Video RAM.

We got several image files every 2 weeks which should be edited and mainly reduced in size for web purpose. This work needs 1 work day for one man/woman to do, because he/she has to open the file save for web and then set the quality to a value were the file is nearly about 150-200 KB in size.
The images are different, some have few colors, some have a lot of colors and there are also different in resolution. But they should not be reduced in resolution, only in quality. All other specs of the image should be kept
Is there any possible script, plug-in or similar which can do the same (Saving with a specific max. file size) in some automatic and faster way?

Sep 13, 2012I used to be able to just open any image and my copyright info would be inserted into the file data. I guess it was a droplet, "when the file is opened or created then add file info from a xmp file". I still have the xmp file with all the data in but i am unsure how to implement it being automatically opened and added to the file when i create a new one? I thought i could handle it, i assume its a droplet of some sort.
