View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a potential client who asked me to put his logo at the bottom of every scene, like a footer area. The movie will include imported video and stills - adding branding for stills would be easy enough using a third party graphics tool and importing, but how to do this for video? This got me thinking about templates, i.e. to create client templates with branding etc, to be used for future projects for the same client.
Is it possible to create templates URL....That led me to the 'Make Movie Templates Manager', but this seems to be a dead-end, I mean, how and where do I create the template ?
I have uploaded a trail version of X4 and so far so good. I am importing canon 7d footage and so far no problem. The problem is that the "Make Movie Templates Manager" seems to be playing up when rendering to MOV MPEG4 as I cannot change the "Quality" bar of the options, meaning it does change on the template options but the rendered file is either to small and visually bad or its the other extreme where the file size is the same size as the imported file. So in otherwards the "Quality" slider has no effect only extreme left or right. I have the smart render switched off as per other posts I have been reading to try and troubleshoot. Deleteing the template and recreating it also seems to do nothing. It's like it saves the setting and does not allow further changes at all!
The footage from the camera is 1920x1080 23.976fps. Setting also attached as temp3.
Attached is the settings for the templates. If I can't have control over the render settings, then what is the point of buying this product. I have also tried the presets and there is a noticable decline in quality especially when it comes to motion i.e pans or zoom out, they become jittery. The mov container seems not to be affected when rendered with this degradation..
A workflow that works great for me is to create parts (Make Part command) from a multibody solid. The dialog window presents one with an option to choose other Templates (I have a few), BUT I have to choose the template I want to use EACH time I create a part. That is, Inventor doesn't automatically remember the last Template I chose, it defaults to the Standard.ipt or Standard.iam.
Is it possible to set it so that Inventor remembers what Template I chose the last time so that I don't have to choose it every time I Make Part?
I am trying to utilize ACD-LT 2010 to auto fill paper space templates. Recently working with some co-workers with Inventor they have the ability to define drawing attributes which are designated in text at pre-defined points...
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME if i can define attributes that would fill all paper space "Drafted By:" "Approved By:" "Project:" "Model:" .... so on and so forth...
how to utilize custom applied Attributes in a Text field, mtext doesn't matter..
Otherwise, I was playing with exporting, allot of programs will use such code like XML in the background that i can export to and build a script to auto generate code via Excel. Is there an alternate for export than WMF? Using excel to import large amounts of data?
I have used Excel to import a Parabola equation through line command which according to some ME's at the office was impossible when they researched doing it online but i dont know various commands to add text boxes, define quardinates, and text values.
I need to make a few basic yet elegant templates that use my company logo. However, my logo is on backgrounds of white or black and I can't figure out how to place the logo on colored backgrounds without the back drop the logo is on showing up?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have made 4 templates from the make movie templates manager:
1280x720 8000kbps WMV
1920x1080 8000kbps WMV
1280x720 8000kbps MPEG-4
1920x1080 8000kbps MPEG-4
And have everything in those templates configured just the way I need them to produce a consistent result that meets my needs.
My question is, how do I export or backup those 4 custom created templates so I can re-load them if I either reinstall the X4 that I have or use them in the new license of X5 that I have ordered for my other machine?
I modified some properties of the underlying templates that were used as the basis for some of those above, but don't know all the details as it was rather a confusing process. But I believe it was one of the ULEAD entries that I tweaked in order to get the proper options available to me in the template.
Bottom line is, I have it all setup and just want to be able to load those setups into X4 or X5 when I complete and install.
I am trying to make basic templates for a collectible card game. The first step is creating the card in the correct shape and making a border. Here is what I did so far :
1. Create a new project in the appropriate size
2. Create an alpha layer
3. Select rounded rectangle to round the edges
4. Invert selection and delete
Now I have a nice card in the correct size and the correct shape. This is where the problem comes in . I want all cards to have a uniform border around the outer edge and I cant quite get this right.
I duplicated the layer and resized it to create the same shape in a smaller size to make this border, but when I show both layers the rounded corners on the smaller sized layers still show up as square. If I show only that smaller layer though, I can see that it has rounded corners.
we have just upgraded from Inv 2011 to 2013. I am trying to create the drawing templates in 2013 by using the blank 2013 template and then copying our border from 2011 onto it. This works a treat apart from 1 thing.
The i properties do not get copied over as well so the sheet is blank from drawing number, title and the custom properties etc.
Are there any templates out there?
I'm trying to find a template for a pocket folder. I have the dimensions, but I'd like to find a template that has the interior pockets all folded out, etc pre-designed where I can just go straight into designing without working on designing canvas sizes, etc..
Has anyone used Photoshop to edit templates? I'm thinking of purchasing a website template and the seller assures me I can edit it with Photoshop.
I recently was asked to design a site from one of the standard templates that you can purchase on the web. It came with two PSD files for the two page templates and then several graphics and such that were created for the starting site.
Has anyone used these templates before and , if so, is there a tutorial anywhere for using PS to get your site up and running?
I am new to PS and downloaded the 30-day trial from Adobe until I have purchased by full blown copy.
When you do a website with photoshop... do you put the text on the image or do you create a layer and put it on top of the images?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I go to create a new template in Photoshop Elements 6, what sizes gives the best resolution or print quality.
Basically I am looking at creating photocards for 4x6 and 5x5 and would like it to look good when printing out. Therefore the higher resolution the better.
I have made a image which I intend to use as a basis for my site, how do I make it expandable so that it will fit into any size of monitor resolution.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a questions about templates in photoshop that I need some clarification on. First off, I have several sites up and running and of course I use photoshop alot, but only for certain things it seems and making web pages in photoshop or what exactly photoshop can do in that area is somewhat unfamiliar territory. Anyway, I went and got a template the other day of a website to tinker with. Inside its .zip folder, the author included a template with a .psd extension. So, I pulled it up in photoshop and the entire front page was there, but was sliced so to speak.
Each area like header, body, sidebar, and other graphics had been sliced or something. So leads me to the question, 1>>why did he not just make the whole thing one big bkground and make tables for the html code to overlay instead of seperating the pieces. I can't wrap my mind around this. and 2>> If I went into photoshop and started a 72 res background, what would be the ideal width in pixels i'd need to use for my template bkground... 780...1028?? Do i use the larger since some people have a higher res on there moniters?
Where are the MetaData Templates located in PS C6 on a Mac that you can add your contact and copyright information to?
On a Windows machine they are located in Owner/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/XMP. I have some templates that I want to copy from a Windows laptop over to a Macbook Pro.
I have had a problem with opening some PSD template files. It doesn't happen all the time and it doesn't happen with every template. All of the templates were downloaded as zip files and opened and saved using Photoshop CS 5 on a Windows XP PC. When this happens I am getting an error message to the effect that the file can't be opened as it was done in a different version of PS. When the files were saved, they were saved as PSD files and the compatibility check box is always checked. The thing is, sometimes the file will open and sometimes the same one won't.
View 2 Replies View Relatedgood web sites to download royalty free backgrounds, templates, textures, etc. for Photoshop. I'm willing to pay a small annual fee to join the site, but of course free is always good too. I'm looking more for a site that has Photoshop or other design applications in mind.
I've found a couple of sites through Google, but they seem old and not updated as often (they still mention compatibility with CS4 and 5).
I have created layered templates in CS6. I've saved them both as psd and tif formats (an industry requirement). I have no problems reopening the files but some of my colleagues get an error when opening the tif file. This is the error message "This document contains unknown data which will be discarded to keep layers editable. To preserve the original appearance instead choose flatten to load composite data as a flattened image."

The template opens up with the 2 postcard outlines to place the images into, but the background of the template is checkered like I have seen in layers, which I do not really know how to do. When I go to insert the picture into the template nothing goes in...I can't seem to select the template and zip in the image. I am using Photoshop CS3 and I want to print these postcards with photoshop managing the printing.
