View 6 RepliesI have 6.0... Id like to know where I can go to find more .pat files.. Patterns for pattern over lays and textures.
Basically, I want to take a picture and make it look like round water ripples ...
When I photoshop people's faces, they end up looking better... but their skin also looks horribly fake.
How can I add things like freckles and pores to make the skin look more realistic? Here is an example of what I would like it to look more like ...
I know it´s possible to create new characters for realistic games, Mangás and even presentation, simulating pure skin, as in people using trunks. They can preserve the face, feet, hands and even chest, however they do limbs entirelly from scratch. I know they use the ´copy area´ button, but some skin can be made from the beginning, by means of noise, patterns and gradient. I would like to know some of these techniques
I´m almost expert using ´copy area´ effects until now, but I do know it´s insufficient for a good artwork. Some limb areas still looks ´repeated´ and ´painted-like´.
Is there a way to select a portion of an image, and create patterns/textures that fill the selection?
If yes, is there the option of using my own images as the pattern/texture to be used? And is there the option to fill the selection either randomly or pattern-like? 'Noise' is not what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for a plugin that creates patterns/textures like these:
These are from the plugin I'm searching for. It was very fast and effective to use. It is NOT the Grid/checkerboard maker or the "diagonal lines" plugin but something similar. I had it once but lost it.
how this fantastic Snake shining metalic did ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to change the curvature of a fabric "snake." I twisted the 12-ft fabric, laid it out in a curvy configuration on a black backdrop in the studio, and took the shot. Now I have extracted the "snake" and pasted it onto a transparent layer.
I know how to do Transform Layer and Transform Selection, but both of those just give me a box, in which the Warp Mode is not what I want. I want to grab the tail of my snake and stretch it out, or make the curve tighter, or make one part of the snake overlay another. Can I do this in PS6?
When I use the art history brush at a very small size, it acts very weird. As soon as I click in the document, a bunch of snake like things appear all over. Like a bunch of little worms spreading all over the page. I've trashed my prefs, I've reset my tool, I've tried different brushes, I've checked scattering, noise, etc. in my brush settings, I've checked my blend modes, pretty everything I can think of doing, and they are still doing it.Â
View 5 Replies View RelatedI occasionally use GIMP to burn-down parts of portraits that compete with the face. For example, bare shoulder, midriff over-light, hands over-lit.
The skin ends up looking greyish, not like less-lit skin. It works not too badly visually, as the emphasis is on the face, but fails on inspection.
I have tried the burn tool and just plain old Brightness, both on a selected area.

Could I have a description of how to match the skin color of the head to the boxer's skin color?

Unsure what format to save the file in, or if there is an easier way to do this.
I am using PS CS2 and the Unreal 3 engine. I came across a tutorial that had to do with particles in the Unreal editor. The tutorial went well but at the top of the page he had the texture he used for the base of the particle. Here it is: Particle Texture I am seeking information on how to make my own textures like this that I can use for custom particle effects. I have tried blending options, filters and layer setups trying to emulate this texture but all of mine come out to rough and less "whispy" and smooth like the one above. The textures I make work fine in the editor but because they are not smooth and what not the particles look very blocky and unconvincing. Any tips or roads to go down on how I can achieve textures like the one above?

I am using Photoshop CS3.
I have Photoshop cs4, windows XP and I went to the goodies on the CD and put the textures folder into the filters folder (like readme said) and now don't know where to find the textures in Photoshop. I went to filters > texture but they are not there.

I've been using photoshop for about a month now and i'm developing a pretty good basic knowledge of it. One thing that i dont understand are textures. I understand that you can create textures in photoshop using tools such as filters and that you can use the texturiser. Ive tried using the preset texturiser setting and ive loaded my own ( ive takenb pics of textures in the real world) and used them on objects but it just doesnt look right- the texture always seems 'behind' the colour of the object, if u know what i mean - and looks dead tacky ...

I've found a couple of sites through Google, but they seem old and not updated as often (they still mention compatibility with CS4 and 5).
I have some turbo squid models with uv maps that I am trying to import into Photoshop CS5, but the textures don't show up anywhere.Â
