way to use the slice tool? So it like wraps around anything that has color, kind of like using star wand and then selecting inverse, but with the slice tool. Because I have a sprite sheet with a transparent background, and it has to have 200+ sprites and it would be much easier if there was some sort of way to do this.

1) The canvas of each layer/file will be the same
2) The elements in each file/Layer will be synced so that it looks good animation wise.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI need to change a photo into just four colours in preperation for producing a litho, this will allow me to have an image for each seperate colour, that when each colour is printed on the same paper, it makes up the final image, a bit like screen printing.
If you try the 'cutout' filter on a picture and adjust the amount of levels to 4, you will see the sort of thing I am trying to produce.
What I intend to do is once the image is seperated, create 3 other copies, then delete all unwanted colour sections, minus the colour I need for this particular part of the picture.
I have tried by converting the image to "indexed colour" and selected black and white, then entering 4 colours here.
This does give me 4 colours, however when I try to just select one of the colours and remove it, it looks like there is an underlying colour, i.e this colour selected is actually made up from two of the colours, as if it is mixed.
I have an existing Sprite .png file. There are a bunch of images contained in the Sprite and I want to change the color of one image on the sheet. I don't have the layered PSD.

I tried this in both 2013 and 2012 to see if maybe AutoDesk broke it, but it doesn't work in either one. This is easily reproducible for me, a file shouldn't be necessary. Just open up (or create) a multi sheet drawing. Go to edit sheet on one or two of them and check the "exclude form count" box. Now create a new iLogic rule and put the following line into it:
MsgBox("This is the number of sheets in the drawing: " & ThisDoc.Document.Sheets.Count, VBOkOnly, "Number of Sheets")

I want to change the background color to a transparent one. I've tried using Color to Alpha but that makes the sprites themselves partially transparent which is not what I want. My second attempt was to use the fuzzy select tool to select all of the white bits and remove them. This doesn't really work either because on a non white background each of the sprites has a few whitish pixels around it's edge. So what I really want is a combination of the two, i.e. all of the white pixels are made completely transparent, and the whitish pixels on the edge of each sprite are made partially transparent, but the sprites themselves remain opaque.
When attempting to apply a Smoke Dynamic to a piece of geometry I am getting an error about missing a spritesmoke.mel.
Here is the log read out.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIf you have a large project and many outside walls have large sections that are the same can you create exterior dimensions on a number of different levels that are tied together. In other words they are the same annotation done once for all those levels without cutting and pasting or doing the same dimensioning on the different levels, which is very error prone and the chances of different dimsions showing on different levels that are supposed to be the same is very large.
I am thinking of something like bing able to x-ref the dimensions like you can do in autocad. Is anything like this posssible in Revit?
No problems so far when I check the "Export views on sheets and links as external references" but when I do not check that box some dimension strings move ridiculously far away from the location as seen in Revit. This project is huge and we do not want XREFs for every single sheet (DWG file). Each view on the sheet is exported as a DWG block. I could modify each view with this problem, but it beats the point of exporting. Attached is a sample file.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to add a single revision to all sheets at once. For example when doing a major issue of all sheets for building approval. In this case I don't use revision clouds but use the "Revisions on Sheet" function in the properties for the individual sheet. Hence the problem, having to individually select every sheet one by one and add the revision to each sheet. Is there a way to multiple select all or some sheets and just do it once? I've tried doing this through a schedule but that doesn't let you select and change a revision either. Is there an add-in that could do this perhaps?

To prevent sheets from different jobs from mixing, and a large quantity of pages sitting in the printer, each print job is queued in the printer until the sender requests that it be printed at the printer. With Revit, the problem is that each sheet is sent as a separate print job, meaning that a 300 sheet print jobe requires me to stand at the printer and request that each one be printed (300 requests). In AutoCAD, the PUBLISHCOLLATE variable sends all sheets in a publish operation as a single job. Is there a way to do this in Revit 2011?

Currently, I am using a method where I have a column on the left hand side of my sheet: with sheet number on top and "line" number on the bottom, as as sheet map. So when I have to reference something externally to the current sheet, I place one of those hexagons in the sheet with the corresponding location.
Is there a better, automated way to do this, as this can be frustrating to change when there is a slight shift and the line numbers have to be changed.
