View 2 RepliesI have got a job to take school pictures where I will offer 3 portrait shots and 2 class shots for selection and I am looking for an easy way to add contact thumbnails onto a sheet that also contains a price list and order form as well as other details etc.
I have around 350 of these to do and have made up a sheet that contains all the other details as a PDF and as a In Design Master sheet and as a jpg file.
I am predominately a photographer and know little InDesign except what I have taught myself but not much. How to automate it and save me a whole load of time?
how to save multiple contact sheets to jpg. Takes soooo long to do them all individually.....
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have many images in a large hierarchical directory tree. I would like to be able to automate the building of contact sheets for those folders. I would also like the contact sheet to contain information about the path that was processed. Is there a way to call the contact sheet tool recursively? Is there away to get the contact sheet tool to embed text about the folder?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI would like to customise the automated contact sheets to include my logo and contact details on each page.
ie logo/company name at the top of the page and contact details at the base of the page.
Does photoshop allow this?
Lets suppose I have 3 camera images and I want to run either save for web applications on 2 cameras at the same time, how/can i do that to save time or lets say contact sheet action on 1 and save for web on the other to save time or Photoshop files and this runs in the background?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen it's time to print and save contact / index sheets, Lightroom enters another dimension.
Workflow as normal up to this point: Import (with 1:1 previews) a folder of NEF+JPGs, maybe a hundred or two. Edit, rename and export. Enter the Print module and setup (for the thousandth time) a contact sheet showing maybe 30-50 pics per page.
Select "Draft Mode Printing" and hit PRINT and sit. The "preparing print job" progress bar appears and starts to tick off images, at about 10 seconds apiece. In LR2 this *entire process* took 1-2 seconds. So, an hour and a half later, my contact sheets are ready. I could hand-draw them faster.
It does it in LR3, LR3.2 and LR 3.3. It *never* did it in LR1-2.7.

I am trying to print contact sheets in Bridge using keywords and/or star ratings from Lightroom. I'm doing that because rendering is incredibly slow if I try to do the same thing in LR even when I choose 240 ppi in the menu.
In Lightroom, I have selected "automatically write changes into XMP. For the folder and subfolders I'm working with, I have selected all of the images and hit command S to write all of the images into metadata. I've done this with the whole folder and with all of the subfolders as well. None of the star ratings show up in Bridge.
When I open Bridge, some of the folders show the keywords while others that I have processed the exact same way do not. All of the images are NEFs shot with at Nikon D800.
I've also tried opening and closing Bridge as well as purging the cache.
I'm on a Macbook Pro early 2011 running OS 10.8.6.
I've triple checked my settings but I can't get images to show in Lightroom contact sheets. The selected images show in Library, Develop, Slideshow, Book and Web but won't show in Lightroom 5.0. Upgrading to 5.3 doesn't work.

View 3 Replies View Relatedshouldn't sheets marked as "exclude from count" not be counted?
I tried this in both 2013 and 2012 to see if maybe AutoDesk broke it, but it doesn't work in either one. This is easily reproducible for me, a file shouldn't be necessary. Just open up (or create) a multi sheet drawing. Go to edit sheet on one or two of them and check the "exclude form count" box. Now create a new iLogic rule and put the following line into it:
MsgBox("This is the number of sheets in the drawing: " & ThisDoc.Document.Sheets.Count, VBOkOnly, "Number of Sheets")
I bought a program called ImageBuddy just to create contact sheets. I'd like to use Contact Sheet II in CS, since you can customze everything...BUT...
This is huge...I routinely create contact sheets of 500+ images. Photoshop takes FOREVER to create them and it keeps the canvas open as it creates. By the time it's finished, my system has come to a crawl, it's a miracle it doesn't just crash.
Is there anyway to save the pages as they are created, freeing up system resources? ImageBuddy will let you set up all the parameters for a contact sheet and then create it as ONE PDF using OS-X's output options. Seems Adobe has really dropped the ball on this one?
I have only had my CS4 for three days. The first time I used it I had access to the Contact Sheet in the File>Automate list. Today it is no longer there. I rebooted the computer and it still is not there. What gives? Everything else seems ok, except it wants me to upgrade my video card, which I did before I installed CS4. My video card is an Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make up a proof sheet of photos from a wedding i recently shot for my clients, and am trying to use Contact Sheet II automate function to produce it. It makes the proof sheet just fine, however, what I am not able to do is edit the text colour or style of the caption of each photo.
For instance, i'd like my photos to be on a black background, but because the caption text is also black, it's not legible.
I've got 32 PSD files of a customers paintings that we use to make greeting cards. She just turned 100 last week and her daughter in law came in to pick some up and asked if we could make a sheet with small versions of the paintings on them with the file names so that she can remember them. She thought we only had 5. I told her we have more like 30. So the old lady doesn't know what we do and don't have here.
Since they are Photoshop files, I can't just toss em into iPhoto to create a contact sheet. I guess I could do a batch convert to JPG on all of them and then drop those into iPhoto but is there a way to do this within Photoshop? just open up all 32 PSD files and create some sort of a contact sheet with file names under each image? Maybe 6 to a page?

I am having trouble making a "contact sheet"; one page that will display 2,4,6,8 or 12 images culled from my desktop file of images. The old Photoshop had a very easy system that allowed me to drop images into a pre-set contact sheet.

I need to put together a contact sheet and I'm trying to use PS to put it together.
When I put the page together everything works fine. But it adds numbers to the file names. Like if you look at the garter snake picture you can see where it added #fdbed....I didn't put that there! I can't get rid of it either. When PS puts the file together it flattens all layers. I could turn off the file names but I need to have them there for reference.
