For last few days, when I am opening raw images (.nef) files in CS3 - it is showing blue patches in some places. I am sensing that it has got to do with display properties but not able to figure out what needs to be done here. I use a NVIDIA and Windows XP.

I am wondering if it is linked to lens profiles, as it appears to have started since I have begun using the Sigma 30mm 1.4 lens.
Everytime I try to open files created from Microstaion but saved as CAD it blue screens my computer! I have a newer laptop with Windows 7. However, an older computer in our office with Windows XP can open these files with no problem? Both computers have AutoCAD LT 2012.

Just before the crash, photoshop displays a message about a problem with the display driver and GPU. I am unable to read the entire message before the system crashes. I re-installed the video driver and CS4 but the problem persists.

When I go to open photos - they are opening in blue-green-purple colors as if a filter is being applied. The color pallette is also appearing with the same blue-purple colors. In the layers pallette - the icon of the image appears in the normal colors and no filters, etc. have been applied. It's all starting from when selecting the photo to be opened in photoshop.

This only happens using AutoCAD, no other program has done this as of yet. I have no service packs installed and I haven't seen another post that refers to this problem. On one edge of this is a strip titled 'Kodak color control patches' which is to enable me to obtain a good colour match on my reproductions. Not sure when this started happening since the last time I used Gimp was about a week or so ago and everything was fine at that point... Now when I open these ".xcf" files I've been working on in Gimp I see this strange Blue Scribble that is showing in the same location for pretty much all the xcf files I opened.
I went through every layer in the "Layers" window and made each one NOT visible in an attempt to see if it was something on one of the layers, but it remained there even after ALL layers were no Longer visible. I also created a new xcf file, saved it, then re-opened it in Gimp and NO scribble was there...
If I export one of the files showing the Blue Scribble into any other format and then re-opened it in Gimp the Blue Scribble is gone too.
Ok so i have this image (Attached) im trying to remove the blue rectangle and the white rectangle leaving the blue swirl on the white back ground, iv tried using content aware but it comes out really bad, maybe im doing it wrong will some one be able to look at this for me, maybe it came out wrong because i have the blue swirl and content aware doesn't work correctly with it .
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy main user folder on the iMac is set to be shared (read/write, including all enclosed files) with my MacBook Pro. The job is a series of one-page InDesign files (they are newspaper advertisements). The IDD files contain a series of Illustrator files with linked PSD files.The idea is that we can both work on the .idd and .ai files in the same folder at the same time.
It's all working fine EXCEPT that whenever an .ai file is opened on the MacBook, Illustrator doesn't know where the linked PSD files are. We can update the link, but when the .ai file is then opened on the iMac and saved, the same thing happens the next time it is opened on the Macbook.
I don't want to embed the PSD files into the .ai files as sometimes I have to modify them and they can be linked to up to 20 .ai files.

I just got a new laptop (Apple Mac book pro with OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion) and a fresh installation of Adobe CS6 and Photoshop is practically unusable. The issues are that there is weird color banding across the full size image (it looks fine in the thumbnail preview in the ‘navigator’ tab). These bands move and change. Next, when I use the selection tool it selects weird shapes. And if I attempt to fill it, the fills are not the color, nor the transparency nor the shapes that I set. That means masks can’t be used and pretty much no editing is possible. Some blog posts describe a similar problem, and propose changing the ‘Performance’ preferences .

Only recently discovered this Forum and the existence of three patches which I have downloaded. However, all three refuse to install giving me the message:
"The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate".
The original DVD is in the drive and the Volinfo. text is definitely on it.
I'm running Windows 7 64Bit running Adobe CS5 Master Collection. But ever since I allowed CS5 Photoshop to control my printer (HP Photosmart Prem 310-C) to do a test print of a graphic that I created all of my Blues print a violet/blue color, no matter what color blue. It has even affected MS Word & MS Project when I try to print blue colored font or Gantt Chart blues will no longer print blue, but will print the same blue/violet color. I've even tried a brilliant blue which will all view great, but prints the same shade of violet blue! All my colors and Blues will view great! I've calibrated my monitor and I've reset my printer several times and still the same thing! I never had this problem before I downloaded Adobe CS5! A strange thing is that I can run check printer test and the data & image that is stored in the printer will print blues perfect, including running a copy direct from the scanner bed and it will produce perfect blues. I almost feel as though Adobe CS5 has possessed my PC and printer, how do I get it back to printing like it did before installing CS5 Master Suite?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been playing with gimp a lot to edit my photos and how to reduce bright patches in photos that have bright spot that kinda take over the photo. I am using Gimp and cannot retake the photo.
Here is what I did.
1. I outlined my body and took away 100% of the blue, this makes the black look cleaner in my opinion.
2. I then inverted the outline and reduced the blue for the rest of the photo by 50% giving the white a cleaner look.
3. Then I outlined the bright area of snow below my feet and lowered the brightness.
4. I highlighted the sky from the mountain base up and increased the blue by 100% twice.

I have made a scene in 3ds max design 2013, using all default materials of autodesk and I am rendering using mental ray. the final image rendered in a very good quality has lot of black patches.

Since im enjoying the pleasures of GIMPs select definitions which absolutely cause no distortions im often thinking - this be the only missing thing. I recently purchased a new laptop and loaded a second copy to it (running Windows 8). When I process a RAW file and try to open it in PS6 about every 4th file does not appear in the PS6 workspace. The file details show in the top left corner, the background layer appear, I supposedly can save this file but I cannot see anything. When I close PS6 and re-open it and re-open the ACR file, then open to PS6 if works fine.
I have Photshop CS6 Extended but when I click on the .cr2 which is the RAW file I keep getting an error message "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document"
I have tried installing the camera raw plugin Photoshop Camera Raw 7.1
