View 1 RepliesIt seems that I have accidentally changed a setting but I don't know how to fix it. I am trying to create a circle with a thick edge/border,like this My link I am going to have text in the border. It worked fine as in previous pic but gimp wont let me do it anymore.
When I try to create a circle with wide edge now the shape completely changes to a diamond type shape My link It's not a circle anymore! I am guessing that I must have changed some setting but don't know how to fix it. I am using windows vista and gimp 2.8.4.I
CS6. I have this logo, red circle w/white letters and superscript 2. It's going to be printed on light gray fabric. I assume that I need to make transparent canvas and transparent letters (lu) so that it takes the gray color of the fabric and not the white background and letters of my file but when I rasterize type, save and open it again I cannot edit.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using ACAD 2012 3D. I want to color in some letters and symbols, but whenever I do they get muffled away by the material I selected for my object.
Here's a render prt scn: [URL]....
As you can see the black arrow is partially yellow, which I do not want. The problem doesn't only happen after rendering, but in my model space as well. I tried all kind of things to get it all black. Hatch, make a solid out of it, different layer, draworder, apply other materials, but nothing seems to work. What goes for the arrow goes for all the words in gray/white too.
In case you wonder, I've made an effect pedal for guitar.
I have a large text with different letters and want to change the different letters with different color. for an example

How do I select all the text and change the same letters to a selected color at once, I know how to change the color for a letter one by one, but it is too tedious.
I have CS4. I want to do something that's really easy in most inexpensive graphics programs - make text with one color and put a border around the text with a second color. I made the text with Padres blue. Now I want to have a white border around the text.

I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7. It has a 500GB HD, 4GB RAM, 16" screen and CorelDRAW X5 and Summa's WinPlot bridge software installed. Everything runs perfectly.
I want to be able to cut vinyl letters from my Summa D75R vinyl cutter and then to cut a different colored outline to be applied over the top of those letters. The letters themselves, that is, the main body of the letters, I can cut with no problem.
I know that I will have to separate the two elements and cut the letters from one file and the outlines from a different file. As an experiment I created a single word with a color. I then created an outline for that word. I deleted the body of the letter leaving only the outline.
I then did a "Convert to Curves" on the outline and imported the image into the WinPlot software that my Summa D75R vinyl cutter uses. I sent the image to the cutter but it cut it as a solid letter. It did not make a double-line cut as it would have to do to make the image an outline.
How to take the Castellar MT font and fill in the blank spaces in the letters with colour? I need to use this font because that's my company's font for their name and I'm trying to design a sign. I have used the blob brush, but I keep getting tiny little specks that look like they're not filled in.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've created a round rectangle. I want the shape to be black with a white border. However whenever I finalize and save, my white border disappears and I'm just left with a black shape. Edit > Stroke is'nt highlighted.
Whenever I change the colors from black and white I dont seem to have this problem. How can I change/modify the BORDER COLOR of my shapes?
I created a card with a colored panel and a white background. I then typed my name along the junction of the panel and background and as I typed the top half of the letters were the panel color and the bottom half of the letters was white.

If I rasterize the objects it still appears (even if it's not that visible).
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe RGB values of the Border color added in the Lightroom 5.3 Print Module does match the RGB values of a selected spot on the image as seen in the Develop Module. How can one get a correct color from the image itself to become the Print Module Border color? Why do these not match? How can a matching result be obtained other than the very imprecise appoach of visually trying to match the color?
View 9 Replies View RelatedA while ago, I wanted to add a border in the background color around a layer. So, I increase Layer Boundary Size using the corresponding tool. So far so good. I even wrote into a script, combined with adding drop shadow, see [URL].......
Then, I bought a new computer. I knew it. Never update or upgrade.
Now, when I increase the layer boundary size, it does increase the size of the layer, but the "border" is now transparent. I know, I know, I can fill it up using the bucket fill tool, but first of all this is annoying, and second of all, I am really wondering: what happened? Why did it work before, and doesn't it work now anymore? I am baffled. I see three possibilities:
- The GIMP installation on my new computer has some global setting differently which I am missing
- GIMP was updated and this has changed
- this is a bug, or at least a quirk, having something to do with old computer running on Win7 and new computer running on Win8
When downloading a photo to desktop, how do I change color and size of border? Whenever I download I have a white border and image is not centered. .

Why is the thumbnail border for some images a different color in grid view? Please see the attached image. I can't figure out why the image on the left is a lighter gray than the two in the middle. The far right image is lighter because it is selected.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIt must still be possible to simply paint a stroke with the paint brush that will fade away from thick to thin and to then to nothing. I can do this easily in my trusty PS version 6, but I can't find this feature in CS. (There's something called "Fade" in CS, but it's a whole different thing.) This is not a "nice-to-have" feature, it is essential. For example, it allows me to draw cartoons with lines that appear to be painted the way a brush makes lines that start out fat and gradually get thinner and thinner.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI reloaded my Wacom and PSD. I have current drivers and all appears as normal, however... I can't for the life of me get the settings right to draw using pressure, from a thin to think line and back. I played with those settings in Brush dynamics and it will only draw as a round stroke with no thickness variations.

I would like to add more to the white background to make it bigger without having to stretch it and distort the image.
I want to place a circle shaped outline border around the original image with a set border thickness and color and be able to crop/remove the portion of the image beyond the outline, changing it from a square/rectangle image to a circular image.
If I am not able to change the drawing to have a round outer border from square, how can I make the outer parts past the newly created circular outline transparent?

I understand that they are appearing and disappearing due to me turning on or off the hide/show lineweights feature. But I would like the lines to be default size. I don't need them thick.
