Photoshop :: Previews In Bridge Get Pixelated And Discolored After Adjustments?
Dec 8, 2012
I'm using Bridge 5.0.1.23 x64 via Photoshop CS6. I'm processing some low-light nighttime photos that require me to boost the "shadows" slider most of the way to the right to get the look I need. I've noticed that the previews in Bridge look pixelated and purple in all of the shadow areas.
Vista won't show me a preview and Bridge only opens with one window. It's important for me to clean out my backup by making sure that I have the most recent graphic file stored (I have multiple copies of files backed up at different times). I can't do this easily because I can't see .psd previews in Vista, and I can only open Bridge once. Therefore, I can't compare files that are in different locations & on different hard drives next to each other. Does anyone have a solution for this? (btw, I don't think Bridge is that hot of a program -- it's not very flexible and all it does is crash.)
Any documents opened in Photoshop have a yellow tint to them. Even new blank documents have a sick yellow overtone.
All other Adobe products including bridge display documents correctly, and all menus/panels in PS are shown correctly. The color problem is strictly within documents in Photoshop.
I've attempted to change all the color settings (RGB modes, Conversion Options, etc.) in several documents with no change. I've also closed Photoshop, located my .ICC and .ICM files in "program files/common files/adobe/color/", renamed the "Profiles" and "MPProfiles" directories and restarted Photoshop. Did not change.
I'm using ACER and LG monitors, which both seem to display everything else properly but both are showing the yellow tint on the PS docs, although the ACER (being a brighter monitor) shows more yellow than the LG does.
how to achieve this sort of look with a Canon DSLR and photoshop..There seems to be a lack of complete black and white in either of the photos. i see the discoloration and everything, i just need to know what i can do to achieve this sort of effect.
We have a bunch of shots taken using natural light - the shots all have completely different exposure and white balance adjustments. Â Now that the shots feel like they've been shot at the same time of day (and on the same day) we'd like to start adjusting the white balance accross multiple shots - but use the current white balance/exposure from each individual shot as the starting point - not reset the adjustments. Â Kind of like baking the current settings or making adjustments on top of current adjustments - or make new adjustments relative to the current adjustments.
I understand the benefit of shooting camera raw and I like the adjustments you can make without effecting the photo itself. The one thing I can't get used to is the limiting workflow in raw that allows you to undo only one change. Being a long time user of Photoshop I'm spoiled by all the image changes I'm allowed to make in combination with one another and the ability to back out of all or some of them.
I'm I missing something in the raw workflow? I wasn't sure if this should be posted in the Photoshop, Bridge or Raw forum. If any of you know of a forum that discuss's this sort of stuff,
purchased the 5.5-upgrade to 6.0 Designpremium. Everything seems to work properly except the bridge, wich won't start as stand-alone - works only as Mini-bridge inside photoshop. Â While trying to start the bridge from photoshop ("go to bridge") results in a bridge's crash... Â In my former installations (5.0 and 5.1) everything was ok ...
After opening Bridge CS6 (and using mini Bridge), there are no thumbnails showing. I've pointed Bridge to just one folder with less than 5 photos in it and it cannot even display them. I'm running a recent Mac Pro with 16GB RAM and kick graphics card.
Whenever I try to open the Brushes panel, the Bridge window pops up. I know that Bridge is a media manager, so I'm not sure why is it opening. I really need to edit the brushes and I can't find a way to do it. Is there a way to disable bridge or another way to open the brushes panel that won't open bridge?
I'm having alot of issues with thumbnail previews in Finder ever since I updated to Mavericks. Basically, any TIF-files that include layer masks won't show a preview at all in Finder.
I just get the static TIF-file graphics, but no actual preview. I have enabled to maximise compatability in Photoshop CC, and all the files are either 16 or 18 bit files.
Mac OS 10.7.5. Photoshop CC.Everything is set accordingly: Yet I get only generic file icons. Can you find the only Photoshop CC file in this folder, all others are Photoshop CS6 files?
I've just worked on a large 16 bit image file in PS CC and saved it as a 4Gb .psb file and now I no longer see a preview in the OS or Bridge, just a PS icon. This is a major issue for me as I work with large files all the time and therefore have to save layered psb files on a daily basis. The lack of previews now with PS CC is more than an inconvenience. Â With CS6 I have psb previews ok. Â I tested two systems running Snow Leopard and latest Mountain Lion to no avail. I also already tried removing all caches, ran utilities to clean and repair permissions etc. Â Is this a bug in PS CC?
We just upgraded to CS and when ever we search folders for .eps images they only show up as eps CS icons no matter how we save them (even in the thumbnail folder view). We are running Windows XP Professional.
I am using Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended, I already updated to Ver. 11.0.1 My problem is that when I open the filters, like "Unsharp Mask" the window that shows the filter previewdoesn't show anything, it remains blank. This is happening with all the filters that have previews. My OSis Windows XP SP3.
I'm manipulating hi res aerial imagery (100s of 300MB files) that is only an 'interim step' in a larger process. I'm using Bridge to view the results of this work. My question is, since Bridge creates its own thumbnail views and the next step doesn't use any previews, how can I turn off the "generating full res composite" part of the file/save step that seems to take an awful lot of time to do and I don't think its needed for this process. What do you think?
designing an image at 300 PPI and need to scale it down some how, so it can be viewed by the client.
Images designed at 300 PPI are often too large to fit on screen and therefore, the client can not view the overall design.
I usually change the image's resolution to 100 or 72 PPI and save the .psd file as a .jpg and then email them a copy. But with this current method, the artwork seems to come out a little fuzzy and distorted; so I then have to explain to the client, that the actual design does not appear as it is displayed in the preview.
I've been using Photoshop CS5 for years now and never had any trouble with my lineart. I use an Intuos 4 tablet. This is what my lines used to look like last time I used Photoshop. Always on a 1 px round brush with the following settings:
Now, all of a sudden, my lineart looks pixelated. I am using the exact same settings and even tried updating my drivers, it has not been fixed. It's causing me insane amounts of stress since this is what I do for a living and the decrease in lineart quality is really taking a hit on my work. This is what they look like now..
I have a CS5 PhotoShop document, and it is 150px by 150px. The problem is that any text i put on it is slightly pixelated. I have tried anti-aliasing but its not working.I am planning to put the image on a website but the text on the image is clearly more pixelated than text on the page even when it is saved in the highest quality jpeg.
I like the idea of the pixelation floating away from the object, Is there a name for this kind of effect? I assumed it was just some kind of pixelation reference.
I was experimenting with 3d model texturing in CS4. However whenever I zoom into the model I was trying to texture, it becomes very pixelated to the point of where I couldnt tell what it is supposed to look like. The only way I can tell what it is anymore is while using the camera rotate, the model once again comes back into focus with the sharp edges that I desire.
