View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to know how to scan negatives using my Epson V750 Pro. Previous Photoshop directly connected me to my 750 scanner. Only option on CS6 is images from device. Once I have scanned it is coming up in preview. I want it to come up as a psd.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am on a MacPro....OS X 10.6.8. I am running Adobe Photoshop CS5. I need to be able to run my EPSON 2450 flatbed scanner through Photoshop. But when I go to File > Import > it's not there.
Explain where I can find the TWAIN plug-in, where to load it and how to make it so it shows up under, "Import" so I can operate the scanner through Photoshop.
Just loaded CS5 on Mac 10.7. I downloaded and installed the latest OSX Epson 1640xl scanner software, and also copied the Twain plugin from the Adobe Goodies CD to the Photoshop > Plugins > Import/Export folder.
Rebooted the computer, power off and unplugged my USB scanner, fired it back up, restarted Photoshop, etc. It no longer shows up in Photoshop>File>Import
But Photoshop doesn't see my scanner at all. In fact, the TWAIN plugin doesn't even show up in the plugins folder list. Everything worked perfectly with Mac 10.6 I also took the scanner into a Epson dealer and the scanner works perfectly.
my cs6 does not show my epson scanner in the dialog box as photoshop 7 died.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am unable to link my Epson 3200 photo scanner to PS Elements 11 on my new iMac. I have tried downloading the software from the Epson website, but when I load it the nothing shows up. I moved the the Optional Plug-ins > Import Modules TWAIN plug in to the Plug-ins. That had no affect at Photoshop Elements 11>Support Files>Import.
On my old iMac I could link and download files from the Scanner.
Using PS Elements 10 on my Mac OS 10.6 I cannot import images from my Epson CX 7450 scanner. Have had no such problem with PS Elements 8. When I select file, import, the options are limited and the scanner is not listed.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow do I get Adobe Photoshop CS to show my Epson 3200 Scanner in the list under File Import?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt did show the Epson Perfection 4870 Photo Scanner.
This is the window that comes up after clicking on File.> Import>WIA Support
The old scanner Epson 4870 Perfection Photo was listed above WIA Support and is still listed on Photoshop Elements 6, which also shows the V600, but, not Photoshop Elements 9 ?
Ps.This is a little frustratimg, it appears Premiere Elements 6 although older works far better, in the monitor and shows the V600 immediately in Pro mode ,just as well it was a free addition with the Epson Scanner.
I converted my operating system from Windows XP to Windows 7 and I cannot get my Epson Perfection 4870 photo scanner to work with it. I downloaded the driver and it took, but my scanner does not appear in Elements 11 as an import. I used Elements 3 and 7 before and these worked fine with the scanner.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from Photoshop Elements 6 to Elements 11 on a brand new iMac running OS X 10.8.2, but Elements 11 will not recognize my Epson Perfection 4990 PHOTO Scanner as an option to import from when I click on "File" then "Import." Is there a Plug-In that may be missing for this to operate as it used to in Elements 6 running on an older G5 Non-Intel processor? I don't have the new Elements 11 Disk to copy anything from, since I downloaded the program directly from Adobe.

I have a printer/scanner that is attached on another (Windows XP) machine on the network. I have no problems seeing and using the printer over the network, but is there a way that the scanner can be shared as well?
With CS6 I can use FileImport to initiate a scan but when I create an action and try to run it, I get an error message 'The command "Import" is not currently available'. The action works fine with CS5.5.
I am using Silverfast and the old version works with CS5 & 6 while the new version of Silverfast works with neither. Looks like the problem lies with Silverfast.
I'm running windows 7 and just installed CS6 64 bit. I understand 64 bit doesn't use TWAIN and must instead go by way of WID. Problem is getting that set up. Very little information other than being told to un-install and re-install in 32 bit.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using CS3 for a few years (on a Mac platform). I just got a new computer (OS 10.7.5), but can't get scans imported successfully. I downloaded the latest driver from the Epson website (my scanner is an Epson Perfecion 3200 Photo), but instead of going into Photoshop as directed, the data wound up in an otherwise blank window.
Normally, accessing the scanner involved Photoshop --> file --> import, but right now my scanner doesn't show up on the sub-menu, nor do I know how to get it there!
I have just installed my Photoshop_CS6 but could not detect my sscanner, Why?

I have so many pictures it is not realistic to go into a shop, I want to do it by myself, if possible. So the question is, what resolution and color quality has the scanner to have in order to get the picture ( not slide ) close to the original ?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen creating a profile for my Microtek 4800 scanner (using Profile Prism), I am asked to do this using the default (or none) scanner settings.
I have recently found out about calibrating and/or neutralizing my scanner to read shades of gray, say 127, 127, 127.
My question is should I profile my scanner after or before calibration, or not at all?
recommend not profiling the scanner, merely scan at 48 bits, then send it to Photoshop (for editing) as an untagged file and convert it to my PS working space.
I have PS CS5 and have purchased a new Scanner. I cannot seem to download the Twain plug-in that I need that didn't come with CS5.
